I thought the heat was going to come from the drizzle I could see in some people's photos but it comes from a dusting over the crust - which was a nice surprise. I had heard about this chain and had been wanting to give it a try. Where we live it's not close to home so I hadn't gone there but on a roadtrip we needed a late dinner and we stopped in this location for take out. The place was hopping busy and a bit chaotic but the staff and the guy I assumed was the manager were hustling to keep everything moving. We got our order in about 10 mins and took it to our hotel. We opted for two sliders - one mild and one medium. I think they had seven levels of spice. All they deal in is chicken tenders. They were moist but I thought the coating /rub was too much. The heat level was OK but I just didn't love the heavy amount of rub. The seasoning on the fries was great and they stay crispy for a long time. The prices are OK. Grabbed take out on opening weekend. Yes, a long wait was to be expected. I think I waited about 20 or so minutes which wasn't that bad. Ordered the chicken tender and slider combo. Got hot heat level. The heat level is perfect for me as I could still taste the chicken flavor while enjoying that Nashville Hot Chicken heat. The chicken is pretty good comparatively considering other fast food joints. Juicy enough, crispy enough. Added cheese because who doesn't love cheese, also accepted the kale slaw. The kale slaw added nothing except maybe a slight more texture; could take or leave it. The fries were the best part though; seasoned with some blend that made them pop. Portion size was just large enough to justify the over priced fare Dave's offers. In this area Dave's is a welcomed addition to me. There are quite a few fast food restaurants around here and while Chick Fil A is great this is better to me, because I love Nashville Hot Chicken. I'll go as often as I can. I waited probably a total of 20 mins for the food after I ordered. I waited in line for about 15 mins but it went by fast. The chicken was juicy, flavorful and delicious! J do have to say medium was not spicy at all, so if you like spice get hot! We will be back! read more

The staff was overly friendly, and if not behind the counter working, they were on the floor making sure the place was spotless. Today was my first time at a Dave's Hot Chicken. the first thing I noticed is that they don't have the assortment of sauces like Chick-Fil-A. I got 2 tenders and fries with pickles and 'Dave's Sauce.' The chicken was perfectly cooked, not dry, and very tasty. After trying 'Dave's sauce' I am no longer upset that they didn't have a larger selection. Not sure what is in it, but it was good.
