This place really sucked bad, we had ordered a bundle with 4 biscuits a worker named Muhammad took the order and didn't bother telling us that the machine was broken or telling the other worker the order. He proceeded to go on his phone in the back. We waited for a good thirty minutes before we asked where our food was, and it was then another employee told us the machine was broken. I have been here a couple of times. The food is ok but the staff always seems to be confused and disorganized. I usually place an order though the Popeyes app, which confuses them. Once, I just drove away when they blocked the drive-thu area with an SUV and were expecting people to walk up the drive area. Would have given 5 stars save for a visit last year where they refused to honor a national advertised special. My recent visit coincided with the new chicken sandwich that everyone is going crazy about. The staff was busy, attentive and plentiful. It really was a team effort with food preparation in the back, drive-through, and counter promptly filling orders. A surprisingly favorable contrast to the slow and indifferent service that is commonly provided at Popeye's franchises across the country. Although certainly not the most healthy food, this last visit was delicious and I look forward to some more spicy cajun chicken here when my cholesterol drops back to baseline. read more

This is the first time I have ever gotten to try Popeye's. Sparing the details for the short version: I threw it away after 3 bites. Now for the details. We pull into the drive thru and place our order. 3 tenders and fries with a coke. 1 shrimp po boy with fries and a coke. After the first half of the order the guy taking the order demands we stop so he can catch up. After two minutes of silence we order the po boy, only to find out they "don't have it" so we try the chicken- nope don't have that either....? So we're looking over the menu and then he just explains that they don't have the lettuce/greens for the sandwiches but they do have everything else. Okay. So. Try again. The po boy with shrimp but no greens. Fair. We will make due. $21!!!! Outrageous! But whatever, it's like $9 for each meal- most places nowadays that's becoming the standard.. so We pull up to the window in the worlds tightest drive thru and he asks us to pick a new drink- they're out of coke until Monday. Okay, this is getting mildly nerve racking but sure, Dr.Pepper will do instead. At this point we're both really second guessing our decision to eat here. We asked for medium drinks and got what HAS to be a large, they're huge. A win I guess?? He double checked what type of sauce we wanted for the tenders, we requested barbecue. After 2-3 minutes he comes back and says we need to pull around because they're still making the po boy ( which remember they don't even have all the ingredients for- it's shrimp, mayo/sauce, pickles, on a roll) but okay. We will wait. We park and wait approximately another 5 minutes. He comes out and apologizes for the wait, says he added a strawberry pie and then tells us that he gave us one of every OTHER sauce.. because you guessed it- they ran out of BBQ. He hands us the bag and heads back inside and on a check to make sure we received our full order we find they forgot the second order of fries. I wish I was making it up. I do. Literally everything that could go wrong absolutely did. My husband went in and retrieved the second order of fries and we set out on our way. The food was warm, which could have been due to the extended wait time. And it turned out that the po boy was chicken and not shrimp- I'm sure they had run out of that too. But in the back of our minds we couldn't bring ourselves to eat this food. Everything that could go wrong did. I feel like a store that is THAT low on basic supplies on a weekend is not going to end well. I'm 9 months pregnant, and it's just not a good time for food poisoning for me. One and done. The worst Popeyes I've ever had chicken tasted greasy & barely warm, the Mac and cheese all waterry

So last night was my first time trying Popeye's. Picked up some regular fried chicken, spicy fried chicken, fries, mashed potatoes, slaw, biscuits and mac and cheese. The chicken did not blow me away. The most noticeably thing about the fried chicken is the crust. There was an excessive amount of a coarse breading. My first thought was they mix Panko in with the flour. What ever it is, it's too much. I've been getting down with some fried chicken for many years, cooking it and eating it. For me, the chicken was super crispy for the sake of being super crispy. There is a Zen like balance to flavorful crust and juicy chicken that wasn't achieved here. I was pretty happy with the biscuits, light with a great buttery taste. The french fries are awesome, and you get a bag that 4 people can share for less than 2 dollars. Mashed potatoes were strangely reminiscent of KFC, the mac and cheese was as I expected and the slaw was eh, my wife thought the slaw was good. Honestly, this food would really hit the spot around midnight after a solid night of drinking. We'll be back, not too soon, but we'll be back. read more

I've never been to a Popeyes before so I had a few questions about the heat of the sauce. No one behind the counter seemed to know. They messed up our order (twice) and forgot things. The place is empty and the bathrooms are messy. My husband and his mother wanted to come here bc they used to love the spicy chicken years ago. The ones they got apparently had no spice. The fries were soggy and old. My chicken pieces were old and freezer burned. This location is okay. The service is okay and the food is alright. They do nickel and dime on the sauce though. Not a fan of spending $25 on fried chicken and I have to add a dollar to add 2 sauces. I went here and I get a number six. The food was very good but the fact that there was long hair in it made me stop eating it as soon as I saw it. The drive through lane is very scary too drive on. They took actual soda cans to pour in the drink not the drink machine. There is dirt at the bottom of the cups and inside the bags they put the food in. The building itself is disgusting. There is dirt everywhere and everything just looks like it has not been cleaned. The workers in the drive through were rude when asking what I wanted and were rude at the window as well. Went there 5/9/14 for dinner. This was an exceptionally clean place and run very efficiently! Food was hot and good! Staff was kind and courteous and everything was filled in at the condiment station. Floors were very clean. I recently visited the Popeye's in Stroudsburg ,PA and the place was so bad that I told him he needs to go visit your business to see how his store should be run! 2nd visit in 3 years and i dont feel the need to go back. This visit was a second chance. The first time i was there the place was loud and dirty, but the food and service was "acceptable". This time, the food was "acceptable"... But the service was SLOWWWWW and the two teenagers at the counter were not at all concerned with work. More concerned with fixing their cars than serving the few customers that dared to visit this place. At least it is clean inside. I used to go to the Popeye's in Lansdale since it was close to work. The chicken and sides were always great there. I tried the one in Quakertown and it was night and day. There was two cars including myself in the drive thru and nobody inside and my order took over ten minutes. When I got home the chicken was dry (obviously sitting around), and my side was half full. How does that take ten minutes to prepare? I thought it was taking awhile because they were making fresh chicken......I was wrong. The owner is obviously cutting corners to nickle and dime people instead of putting out quality food. This location typically looks slow when I drive by and now I see why. This was probably the worst fast food experience I've ever had. Iv'e been to popeye's in the past and ...I get it..with fast food you have to have little expectations but this food and this restaurant is absolutely awful. We went in there just for a couple of "po' boy sandwiches" and a biscuit. We walked in there and were the only ones ordering with only one other patron seated and already eating. It took the clerk over twelve minutes to assemble 2 of their most basic sandwiches and as he did he used the small hand-out type sauce packets to fix them, which I thought was a bit strange. The "famous bread" was old and stale and falling apart while the pickles and sauce tasted spoiled and bad. The chicken tasted like it went bad and was not any better either. The biscuit we purchased for my one-year old was hard and stale like a rock. All this was to the tune of about eleven bucks. After eating only a few bites I needed to go to the restroom because I felt sick and found in closed because there was already a mess in it. The sign told me to use the Ladies room instead. We both were all sick to our stomachs the rest of the day. If your up that way and need a bite to eat AVOID this place like the plague!!!....spend couple extra bucks and get Panera instead...it's right down the street from this Popeye's. read more
