Honeygrow is always an interesting concept. I ended up ordering the Chesapeake crab stir fry (seasonal dish) from the kiosk. Service was quick. It is nice this location has indoor and outdoor seating. I really liked the amount of crab they put in the stir fry. The old bay really added a kick to this dish. I recently spent $85 on a family meal at honeygrow and was refused service simply for trying to pay with a $100 bill--legal U.S. tender. The manager told me to "just go to a bank down the road and cash it for smaller bills." Seriously? It was 5:47 p.m. on a Friday, and I had my spouse and 3 small children in car seats. Getting back in the car to chase down smaller bills was not an option, nor should it have been expected. To make matters worse, the manager said he would get fired if he accepted my $100 bill. That's outrageous. A $100 bill is legal currency, and refusing it is both unorthodox and unacceptable. If the concern is fraud, invest in a currency detector--don't punish the customer. The manager instead suggested I pay with credit cards, as if the payment method I offered wasn't legitimate. We weren't trying to buy a single drink with a large bill--we were spending $85 to feed our family. The way we were treated was disrespectful, inconvenient, and dismissive. I will not support any business that refuses cash and makes families jump through hoops to complete a simple transaction. honeygrow, do better. read more

We've been here a few times since they opened and never had a bad experience. I love their caesar shrimp salad- the Mediterranean salad is great too. From placing your order to getting your food it's been 10 min or less even when it's busy. It's a casual place that's got some good eats. Even with desert it's $40 or less for two people. read more

I'm sad to say that we likely won't be returning to this particular location. Perhaps it's just the *fairly* newness of it, but when you stop for fast food and it takes 40 minutes to get your food once you order, there's a problem. We could have gone to Red Robin across the street and had a sit down dinner. There were only 5-6 other groups when we stopped at 7pm. Not rush hour time. I'm sure there were probably some pickup orders as well. But wow, totally unacceptable. The employees were working their tales off despite the fact that no one even has to stop to take orders because of the automated order/pay screens. Customers do it all. Just like self checkout at the grocery store. You order, pay and wait. And wait. And wait. And when you go to ask someone if they even received your order, you wait another 5-7 minutes until they acknowledge you standing there. Even though they're 3 feet away. Why do they not have a ton of noodles, veg and protein ready to go like other places? It's a basic menu. It was a bizarre experience. The food, once we finally got it, was fine. Noodles, veg and some protein. Definitely not cheap for a bowl. I had a custom bowl of rice noodles with tofu, mushrooms, beans and some other things. They're making a great profit!! The inside space is so ridiculously loud and echo-y that we couldn't even tell if they were calling our name. I've seen others' similar reviews. Once we got our food, we moved outside to decompress after 40 minutes of anxiously wondering if they had our order and if we had missed the call out. Didn't get a dessert because it was already well above our expected budget for fast food. Also not even sure why they can it Honeygrow, a honey bar. Well, I was debating between 1 and 2 stars. Took almost 25 min to get two stir fries. They seemed to be short staff. They were small portions, especially for the price. The bread was super small. I could have gotten a whole baguette for the price at the store. I got the garlic shrimp stir fry and I liked the flavor but the noodles were like all glopped together and a little hard. Disappointing overpriced experience. Kiosks were cumbersome to order on. Not able to ask an employee any questions about the menu. I ordered the Red Coconut Curry & tried to replace the tofu with chicken. Unfortunately I ended up with both. When I said something to the staff, she said well that's what you ordered. No offer to remake it without the tofu. Didn't care I paid extra for two proteins, I just don't like tofu. The staff here are apathetic about customers liking the place. Ordering process was very simple and efficient. For 3 of us, it was $50. Was it worth it, not sure. Bowl was lacking protein. I had the steak and there were a few pieces, same goes for my sons chicken/steak, and wife's chicken. Bowls are very flavorful. All ingredients were prepared to my liking. Wife and son got desert bowls, another $14. They both enjoyed them, seemed a little pricy to me. Will we be back??? Not sure. Don't get me wrong, everything was very good tasting. This is the first time eating here.We ate our food inside. Self serve kiosk was awkward for a first timer but doable.inside was void of any character. A sterile and easy to clean environment. It looked more set up and suitable for pickup and delivery drivers. Not a problem, I like a clean environment. Good job there. The food was fresh and tasty but lacked any WOW factor. I guess the egg white noodle is a healthy thing. the downside is the prices. $31.00 for 2 people, 2 bowls with sodas. Got a, let down expression from the preparer when I didn't tip at kiosk as she was monitoring as we ordered. Sorry, I don't tip when no interaction with customers is needed. Stick with the bowls and the fruit. We decided to try the new honeygrow in Quakertown. It was our first time at a honeygrow, and it took a minute to figure out the ordering kiosks and download the app and order. But that's ok, it's all new. Seeing that they only had 3 main categories of food, and salad being one of them, and the place being brand new, I decided to take a risk and order a salad, which I generally do not do as a rule, especially from fast food places, as I have gotten food poisoning in the past from salads. The kids each ordered a noodle bowl and we got a "honey bar" to share, just to find out what a honey bar was, lol. The place became busy as our time there progressed. There were a lot of employees but all very busy and none to help customers, answer questions or engage with you in any way. The main guy was the only one helping people at all while also trying to do cash transactions, package up and hand out food, and cook. It took about 20 minutes to get our food. The girls noodle bowls looked great, and we all tried each flavor and they were very good. Fresh ingredients and flavorful. In the end the 2 noodle bowls were enough food for the 3 of us. I instantly regretted my gamble on the salad, however. It was clearly bagged lettuce and so much of it was brown, I decided to return it rather than take the risk of getting sick. It's a shame bc all of the other ingredients looked fresh and delicious, and it was loaded up with tons of yummy things. The main guy at the front was super nice about switching it out. I had to wait in line a second time to order the replacement in the kiosk and then wait another 20 minutes for my replacement meal. I was not offered any money back on the difference between my salad and bowl. The whole meal for 3 cost well over $50 not including tip. In the mean time, I shared with the kids and we all tried the honey bar. The honey bar was a fruit cup with toppings like honey, chocolate, and coconut. It was fresh and cold and crisp. I took my rice bowl replacement meal to go, and ate it the next day and it was good. The restaurant itself seemed clean enough, although the bathroom was a little on the dirty side considering it's brand new. Still, we would go back for fruit and bowls. read more

I visited here because my wife said it was really, really great and she enjoyed the Ardmore location recently. Our visit to the Quakertown location will be a one and done unfortunately. I was going to get a salad but I saw them making them and decided to get the sesame garlic and my wife had the spicy garlic. The main issue was seriously a lack of chicken and steak . I honestly had about 1/2 ounce of steak and she barely had any chicken in her bowl. We did enjoy the noodles and the sauces were pretty good but the lack of protein really left us feeling empty, she said when she was at the Ardmore location her noodle bowl was loaded with veggies and chicken... I only had a few slivers of steak and a few broccoli florets... I feel like all I had was a bowl of noodles. It was definitely pretty tasty but not a place for a hungry man to go for lunch. If you follow me you know I never complain about price as I am mainly focused on value. I think if there was more steak and veggies it would have been a much better value. Didn't notice there was a line to get a kiosk to place order when I first got there, so I unintentionally cut ahead of the line by getting a kiosk once I realized that's how we place order for meal. Ordering meal from kiosk was challenging. They do have someone available to help customers place order on kiosk, which made huge difference. After paying for meal on kiosk, message on screen said they would call my name or text me when meal was ready. Sat down at table to wait for meal, which took a while because there was quite a crowd on their second day of being open. Loud music added to confusion and made it hard to hear name being called. I thought I heard my name called, so young lady who helped at kiosk went to see if they called me. She brought back my meal, so apparently they did call my name. She came back in a little while to ask how my meal was. She was so helpful, really made my first experience there a better one! Spicy garlic stir fry was good, would have liked more chicken and vegs in the bowl. I did like the spiciness of it! Caesar salad with romaine lettuce instead of kale was gritty, possibly from not being washed enough. I did not enjoy salad as much as I did the noodles, perhaps because I did not like the dressing? Our usual fast food restaurant was closed for renovations. So, we decided to give Honeygrow a try. We envisioned getting healthful, freshly prepared stir fry. Honeygrow is located off a main highway in a standalone building with another fast food restaurant. When we first entered the facility, we were struck about how stark the surroundings were. The open kitchen and pickup counter were located on one side of the space. The remaining area is for dining and has table and chairs lined up evenly. With the high ceilings and lack of any decoration the place echoes. It has a very institutional feel to it. All of the employees are located in the kitchen area, seemingly preparing meals. First timers have a difficult time figuring out the process because there was no one to ask. There are some lighted signs on the walls that give you a hint about how to go about ordering your food. You first go to one of the several kiosks to view the menu and your options. After you flounder about a bit and place your order you are advised via the kiosk that someone will call out your name when your order is ready. That happened in a reasonable amount of time. The person handing you your tray of food was most pleasant. The food was OK consisting of fresh ingredients with either noodles or rice. The noodles and rice seem to dominate the offering so it didn't seem to be as healthful as we had anticipated it would be. One of the off putting features of their process is that, when you go to pay for your meal at the kiosk, they ask you how much of a tip you would like to leave! For what? read more

I am already a huge Honeygrow fan with their food, but omg the service here is absolutely above and beyond. I spoke to a manager, Claire, about an incident with a Grubhub order mix-up, and when I tell you I have never talked to someone with more class and respect for me and the situation than her. She was working with me to try to help, even if her abilities were a bit limited due to the circumstances. I really wish everyone was like Claire.
