We also ordered a couple of pizzas, and they disappeared almost immediately because they were that good! One of the best surprises was the back area with old-school pinball machines and a claw machine, which was a huge hit with the kids in our group. We even got lucky and won a few prizes! Upon arrive the friendly staff greeted me and I checked in for my order which was in the oven. A short wait later the staff presented me with my pizza and off I went. I ordered the 12" curd pizza and it was delicious! Not only was it fresh, but it was obvious that the staff put care into the ingredients and presentation. There was no indication taste or presentation was suffering despite being 1am in the morning. The flavor combinations are awesome and the crust is delicious. The meatball pizza, the most "traditional" pizza we tried, had a delicious red sauce and the meatballs are great. The Schnitzengiggles Pizza has Bechamel, Canadian bacon, bacon, kraut, 1000 Island. Served with a little char on it. My favorite part is the kraut...I wish it had more!! The General Tso Pizza comes with general tso sauce / garlic chicken / red onion / broccoli / cilantro / shredded carrots / sweet chili / sesame seeds. The pizza has a nice sauce but I was expecting chunks of chicken. Lastly, but not least, was the Tiki-za pizza which has red sauce, smoked chicken, pineapple, jalapeno, sweet chili, peppers, cilantro. Served with a little char on it. Deek's has been my wife's favorite for as long as I remember and we've both been buying pizza there since the late 90's. Opening a big old XXL pizza at 2 or 3 in the morning and seeing those square slices as the smell of melted mozzarella and perfect crust is so satisfying! Times are tough all over and money is tight for so many and Deek's has always kept their prices reasonable so on the rare occasion we are able to go out, or order pickup/delivery it's a good bet that we are getting Deek's! Well, that was the case tonight, well actually it was super early morning I guess(approximately 2:30). Knowing they close at three I quickly tried to download the app again as I've been trying to download it every time we've gotten pizza for the last two years and I'll tell whoever answers the phone that I'm having problems with it and they never have any helpful suggestions whatsoever, but I had to try it again and of course it didn't work so I called and I heard an annoyed, sounding voice answer "Deek's pizza". Knowing they would be closing at 3 I said I wanted to order a pizza for pickup. He repeated "pickup?" In the form of a question and I confirmed yes I was going to come pick it up. He asked me to hang on and was back on the phone within a few seconds and said i "OK but you'll have to pay the delivery fee". Caught off guard by what he said I asked "what"? He repeated himself and said that I would have to pay for the delivery fee. I told them to forget it and I just wait till tomorrow. I got off the phone and told my wife who was obviously disappointed, actually that's not the right word let's go with a cross between disgusted and outraged, as I said it's her favorite place to get pizza or eat out/order in in general really. Luckily I stopped her from calling and having a Chat with your employee about scamming customers. The hours are listed until 3 AM. We always order a large and it always comes with a bunch of taco sauce packets. Taco pizza is made of chips, lettuce, cheese, sausage bits, chunks of tomato, and pizza sauce. The chips used remind me of a Nacho Cheese Doritos, but each time we order it tends to taste a bit stale. When we order it to go, we tend to rebake it in the oven to add back a bit of crisp to it. For a party of 5, this was enough for us. Overall, we will continue to order our taco pizza here. Just dont have something like this back home, so its always a must.
