There's 3 main burger options and then you add all the toppings you like to customise your burger. While my boyfriend asked for all of the toppings I asked for the plain bacon cheeseburger as I wanted something simple. I obviously tried both options and they were equally disappointing. My boyfriend's burger was juicier than mine for to the peppers and onions that made it taste more fresh, while mine was a mass of meat and plastic-y cheese that I can easily dub 'the artery clogger' because it felt like I'd need a double bypass after eating it. Not to mention that the bacon was bone dry and crunchy, borderline burnt to a crisp and breaking in crumbs when you bit into it. Honestly worst bacon I've ever tried. To be honest the variety of toppings was very underwhelming as the choices were something you expect from a basic burger (mayo, onions, tomatoes etc). With gourmet burgers in your average pub offering avocado, egg or pulled pork and even your local spoons burger coming with onion rings, Five Guys is really not bringing anything new to the table. The skin on chips were enough to vaguely justify the £4 and they were decent so I was happy with them. However, my highlight was getting free pints of water which on its own says a lot about what this place has to offer. This place is a glorified Mc Donald's with pretty much the same quality as far as flavour or texture are concerned and five times the price to fool you int thinking it's a real restaurant. I do not intend to go back there again as it was a complete waste of money to eat something basic and unhealthy.

McDonald's have four branches on London's Oxford Street, this is the second one I visited during my…read morerecent time in London, after the branch inside West One (a really poor, cramped store). This branch is located on 291B Oxford Street, in the Mayfair area of the street, it is a fairly tall, old and kind of impressive building, and is basically opposite John Lewis, and next to EE. The store is pretty clean for a Mcdonald's, there was a staff member who was cleaning up even though it was a little busy, they did get in the way slightly but at least the store was being constantly clean, which is something you don't often find in Mcdonald's locations, or in London. There was a decent amount of seating in the store also, but it is worth noting due to the central location on such a busy street (Oxford Street), it can get pretty busy, giving you a rushed feel. The store also offers McDelivery which is pretty handy if you live within 1.5 miles away, as they deliver via the UberEATS platform, which I find to be so much better to rivals including Deliveroo. (but that's a separate review!) Pretty much typical Mcdonald's store in terms of menu offerings, pretty cool building for a Mcdonald's and in a good location. 3*

Poppies completely fulfilled my London fish and chips experience! Poppies had come recommend by a local, while we where shopping in Harrods the sales associate mentioned if we'd eaten poppies yet, we said no we'd eaten at another place and we mentioned the name and she seemed to be unimpressed and said try poppies! So we did! We weren't very hungry but our prior experience with London fish and chips left us bitter as a lemon, soooo.... not very hungry but in need of a authentic London bucket list dinner, off we went! We are so glad we did! The service was excellent, great ambience a pub type feel (what I anticipated) food fish and chips we excellent mushy peas we great! Loved the beer as well was a mini mug lager, and you must save room for dessert the sticky toffee pudding is a must have! Fried fish was delicious, hot crispy and the batter was excellent came with French fries( chips) again hot and delicious, we had the cod and tried the haddock, haddock was great as well, mushy peas was delicious, I must admit I didn't know what to expect with the mushy peas however it was delicious and a perfect side for your fish and chips, it was almost like a split pea soup except the thinner consistency. Have a mini lager superb with your meal! Mind you we were NOT very hungry at all when we went, but we could not resist dessert traditional sticky toffee pudding was on our menu! We were so happy we tried it! Delicious. Over all I guess you can tell we loved poppies and the traditional London vibe. Poppies is a must due when in London, and don't worry about the cab cost, cause it is a bit of a distance when your in the typical tourist area, it's totally worth it! read more

Upon arriving, the Insight area was closed for any new customers. It being almost 930 I could understand somewhat. But in my concern, the worker that took my order said that I could sit outside. I put in my order set up the little bench outside and waited inside for my order to finish. My order finished at 9:30. I grabbed my drink. I grabbed my napkin. My fork went to sit outside and they had locked the bench down. I went back inside asking if they could unlock the bench cause there was still 30 minutes left. The workers there told me they could not unlock it because they need to be finished at 10 o'clock. I told them it would only take me 15 minutes or less to eat and they said no I'm sorry we will not unlock the bench. I ended up walking down the street ate the food as I walked as there was nowhere to sit. The service was really bad in the customer service absolutely unacceptable. My meal was €23 and I ended up eating it cold because there was nowhere to sit. I definitely will not be going back to this place and I highly suggest you do not go to this place if it's 30 minutes before closing and you're trying to eat somewhere where you could sit down. I really hope that the owner reads this and explains to their workers if someone is there ready to eat 30 minutes before closing the average person takes about 15 minutes to eat and should be allowed to eat. One star and most of that is connected to poor customer service.
