It's hard to find good contractors in Southern California, but Popular Bathroom is a great one. We needed to squeeze a half bath somewhere into our 2 bed/1 bath bungalow so it would work better for a family. Abraham helped us figure out where to put one without having to add square footage to the house, which would have added exponentially to the cost. Avi renovated my mother's bathroom in Fall 2022. I live out of the area, but my mom wanted me to communicate with Avi to make sure things worked smoothly. We sought several proposals before selecting a contractor for our bathroom remodel. Popular Bath was the quickest to request a tour, and the first to submit a completed proposal. Abraham was prompt and courteous in every way, including follow-up which seems to be a lost art these days. The negotiation was very professional, with the final cost being below the rest of the competition. The lead time before the crew could start was reasonable. Once onsite crew chief David exhibited a strength in experience for each of the trades required to do the job. There were tradesmen onsite every day. Abraham walked with the inspectors which we feel helped the process go more smoothly. David made sure the quality control from each trade was excellent, responded to all of our concerns, and the many trades he performed himself met our standards. I wish I could give Abraham and his crew many more stars -- they are far superior to any other construction people I've ever dealt with in skill, reliability, trustworthiness, creativity, friendliness, neatness, patience, responsibility and responsiveness. Abraham's specialists for electrical, plumbing, hot mopping and other tasks were also top of the line. Not everything was perfect at first. It never is, but when Abraham became aware of things that he didn't think were right, he made sure that they were 100% before we were done. I've had experience with other remodels in the past, including adding a second floor master suite -- so I have ample work to compare this job with. I wouldn't hesitate to ask Abraham back for any future remodeling. Since Judy and I participated in working out the final designs and buying all the materials and parts, we had a chance to see how comfortable Abraham and the crew were with "involved" customers. Wow! Is what we have to say about Abraham and his installers. They remodled 2 bathrooms, and our kitchen and bar counters. They also removered over 750 sq.ft. of wood flooring, and installed new bamboo flooring. They replaced all of the covebase around the new floors. It was suppose to take at least 8 weeks. But we really lucked out, and they wete done in 4 weeks. They removed an old 90 gallon juzzi tub and flooring in the Master bathroom. Abraham answered our inquiry promptly and came to talk to us soon after. From the beginning, he was clear, straightforward and had good experience, information and design ideas. His bids were reasonable and accurate. The project, two bathrooms and tiling a mantle, were delayed by Covid, so when we started again, the bids had to go up, but fair enough. His subcontractor, David Ovando was truly gifted. It is hard to find really good craftsmen in LA, but David is one and he did a brilliant, clean, careful and precise job. All of the tiles lay in a plane, all of the gaps are regular and the painting was clean and beautiful. When we hit snags, Abraham and David worked out solutions with no trouble. The add-ons were reasonably priced and well-executed. Once they started the job, they worked on it until it was finished and they cleaned up beautifully every day, including removing all of the tarps they laid down every morning. I can't say enough good things about their work: fair pricing, complete follow-through, the finest craftsmanship, very good people to work with and a beautiful job. The end result was a highly useable, aesthetically pleasing space that turned out even better than we envisioned and will last at least another 60 years. From the demolition through the plumbing, framing, concrete floating, hot mop, and electrical work, to the tiling, painting and other finish work, everything was done neatly and to code, and in a timely fashion. We really couldn't have asked for a better experience. Even our new kitten, who left footprints in the freshly poured concrete one night, learned to like having these guys around.
