Love the builder gel, this is helping me grow my natural nails and last almost a month for me! They also offer huge color selection

I made an appt for dip over the phone. When I arrived they did not want to do the service I requested and wanted to do builder gel. I was a little taken a back because I had clearly made an appt for dip but I let them do the service their way and use builder gel instead. The technician was inexperienced and I ended up with very thick bulky nails with gaps underneath between the tip and my natural nail. Dirt, food and anything I touched got stuck in these gaps. I communicated that I generally preferred them a bit thinner as I was leaving and gave them another chance today and ended up with bad results. The color was not what I requested and they tried to tell me it was, I just didn't 'let' them do enough layers. She asked me if it was enough layers and if I wanted it thin and I said yes. Thin, not uneven like this. Who allows this leaving a salon? This is absolutely not the place to go for dip. I've been doing dip for years and have never had an experience like this. They don't do a normal dip. There was so many weird layers I had no idea what it was. A base coat of some kind after all the dipping. Multiple layers of top coat. I have no idea what exactly was done on me. Builder gel here is fine if you don't mind them being thick, unsanitary and waiting for an additional 30 minutes after your appointment time to be seen. In response to the business response: Yes, AFTER the builder gel service I mentioned very respectfully that they were very thick and that was why I preferred and had requested dip. I allowed the technician to do her job just as she was trained. I also tipped very well for any disruption my son may have delayed her by 2-3 minutes the entire appt. The second time I made ZERO mention of thickness except when asked. I've never had an issue with dip being thick and had no reason to bring it up or micromanage in any way. When she asked if that was enough layers and if I wanted it thin I said yes not having a clue that there were supposed to be more?? 3 layers has been standard in the years and other salons I've done dip and I don't know why she was asking if that is not standard there. I didn't know she apparently wasn't done..? The color used was not what I requested. I have a photo to prove it. I requested 004 linen. I could also not stay to have the color repaired because I was not started on until 30 minutes after my appointment time. I called ahead to see if you had availability and made an appointment. I did not have any time left that that point as you did not actually have my appointment time saved. The technician was very inexperienced. I've done acrylic, builder gel and dip and kept my nails regularly for years. I'm not just a whiny customer who doesn't have a clue and your future customers need a heads up on what to expect before wasting hard earned dollars. read more

Worst service I ask for round shape and she made different shape on my 2 fingers and she add too much gel on it and it's looks hump. I ask to fix it and she angry in my and I ask to remove my nails and she did like this and ask me to go. She hurt on own nails. She touch me so rudely and putting my hand away like I am not a human being. Stupid person. read more

normally i have no issues with this place, but today an old guy did my nails. he did not ask what design or shape i wanted. he filed my nails for probably 15 minutes and they still were not even. he was completely missing my nail and filed my skin to the point that i was bleeding. my nails were left looking wide and there was nail polish everywhere but my nails. $60 just to do something i could've done myself with no knowledge or skill. don't go here. save your money. read more

Completely un happy I went in and was the o Ky one in the store he proceeded to rush me in a chair popped my old nails off without soaking or anything . I had long natural nails and he cut them all the way down without asking them did this awful job . I will be driving all the way to Clarksville to JJ nails from now on I should have never tried somewhere else read more

I'll never understand why it's so hard to shape a nail evenly! This entire town sucks when it comes to nails like it's like they all went to the same school! & when you start a job finish it!!! It was 5pm on a Monday and I needed to get a full set. Of course at this time is when the women of Hoptown get off work and go straight to the nail salon. Not wanting to wait long (who does?) I called Popular to find out they weren't that busy. That should have been the first clue. I get in there and I have to wait a bit for the woman in the first chair. No big deal. Another Vietnamese woman helped me pick out polish in the large selection. They get an extra star for the polish options. Then I'm seated with the woman in chair number who gets cracking on nails. She's going fast since the salon is starting to fill up. Great. First she didn't file down my set enough. I mean, I need to be able to work in these things! Mind you I've been getting my nails done for years so I know what I want and what the trends are atm. Then she slops on my red polish. Later when they dry, all my fingers have tons of air bubbles. There's too many nail salons around here and Clarksvegas in order for them to do a crap job. I won't be back for a fill. read more

Went around lunch time and it wasn't packed at all. The guy didn't look to see my tips to see if they were even while he was cutting them, which made me point out a few times that one was shorter than the other. My airbrush on some of my nails is more than the other...It's not like they are busy to rush me, take your time. The girl who did my eyebrows kinda screwed up and made one pointy and goes "beautiful" and tells me to get up...doesn't even show me what they look like! $51 later and I was somewhat satisfied due to the fact they took me right away and were fast but I think I'm gonna avoid going back to this place if I can. read more

I heard this place was hit or miss. I should've listened. My gel nails were terrible. They were the worst set I had done. My edges were all over the plan which caused them to lift 4 days after. There were air bubbles on every nail. I also waited 2 hours. I was highly disappointed. I had to get my nails redone elsewhere. read more

i went in for a dip removal and new put on. i did not have my nails cut down did not have any tips put on . i had a couple of nails that had broke and he didnt even ask if i wanted a tip so that they would match the others. he rushed me thru color choice and then to top it off it was 50$. i can go to any other place in town and get a full set of tips with dip and it is 35/40$. I use to go to this nail shop all the time until the tech started to get sloppy with their work so I started traveling to Clarksville but I was pressed for time and decided to go to Popular Nails and got the worst!!!!!! I would not recommend anyone to go to this place. I asked for the tips only to be polished which means the polish should cover the tips. The polish is on the very tip and they are not even. Thank goodness the event was cancel and I can go back to Clarksville to get this mess FIX!!!!!!! read more
