    Matcha lattes

Porfa Coffee in Oakland Park is a great spot for specialty drinks and bites. To help celebrate Women's History Month, I'm excited to review one of my fav women-owned businesses. Porfa is a dream cafe that came to Oakland Park and I love visiting when I'm in the area and also love working from here. It truly transports you to Italy with their beautiful decor and calming environment. If you love an aesthetic bathroom, theirs takes the cake! I love trying their different specialty matcha lattes-- my recent visit I tried their banana brulee and it was delicious. They use Alma matcha which I love seeing a local business support another local business. They have a great variety of flavors to add to your matcha or coffee and they also have a great selection of bites. A cute spot for coffee, matcha, or a bite to eat in the area!

So I came here on a Friday morning. The parking in front of the place seems like you have to pay for it so I parked in the back. On this particular day, it was very busy line almost to the door. So it did take me a while to get through it. I did have time to observe, and it seemed to be a very quaint and cozy place. But also extremely loud from all the talking. It sounded like a school cafeteria. I ordered two drinks because why not one was the banana Brulé Matcha and the other was, I actually can't remember but it was an iced latte. The Brulé Matcha was decent. I got it with oat milk. I did end up getting it with extra syrup because the Man said it was a light flavor. The iced latte was very watery, even the milk. I did not like it at all, which is probably why I can't remember what I ordered. I ended up throwing it away. They had a guava and cheese pop tart, and for me this was the star of the show. The outside was flaky. The inside wasn't too sweet. I loved it. And the last thing I got was like this breakfast bun. It had egg and cheese in the middle, which it was OK. All in all if I was ever in the area, I would stop for just that pop tart.

Visited Porfa Coffee on a Sunday specifically to try the now very-online-famous cinnamon rolls, and I can confidently say they're worth the attention. First impressions matter, and this place delivers right away: the space is clean, modern, and has that inviting coffee-shop ambiance that makes you want to linger a little longer. Service was warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in, which always sets the tone for a good experience. I tried both the classic cinnamon roll and their strawberry variation, which at the time had a strawberry-banana style icing. Texture-wise, both were excellent--light, fluffy, and not overly dense, with a delicate finish that made them feel a bit more elevated than your average bakery roll. Of the two, the classic was my favorite. It had the right balance of sweetness and cinnamon, while the strawberry version, though still very tasty, leaned a little sweeter than I personally prefer. That said, both are absolutely worth trying if you're curious. I'm not a huge coffee drinker myself and usually lean more toward treats, but this spot impressed me across the board: ambiance, service, quality, and pricing all felt very well balanced. If you've been seeing the cinnamon rolls online and wondering if they live up to the hype--they do. Definitely a spot worth checking out.

I finally got the chance to try Porfa coffee and my experience was great! The highlight of this place is definitely the design and decor. Very tastefully done and is a very nice looking place to sit and have a cup of coffee. The bathroom is a dream so please go in there and experience that for yourself. I had a cup of drip coffee and it tasted great! Great quality coffee, brewed well and the cup was a nice treat to look at and enjoy while I had my coffee. The staff was friendly and you can tell everyone enjoys this spot because it was packed! All in all my Porfa experience was great!

5 Stars for a lovely coffee shop in Oakland Park with sandwiches, baked goods, and the cutest living room vibes. I'll admit that I'd had several coffees before we arrived to finish our coworking day at Porfa, so I didn't get to try theirs. With that being said, if it's as tasty and thoughtful as their many baked goods and their decor, I'm in for a treat next time! I tried the banana bread and a turkey pressed sandwich and both were GREAT! They hit the spot while we finished a quick meeting in one of their little nooks. Looking around, I felt cozy- and I think this is 100% intentional. They've created the kind of little shop that makes you feel right at home. I'll definitely return, this time for caffeine!

Got the flan latte + the churro latte. Churro latte is hands down one of my favorites! Had such a lovely sweetness to it without it being just straight up cinnamon. Also the flan latte was really good too! Such awesome quality coffee. Loved it so much!

This place is so cute and definitely worth checking out. Wait times can vary as they make the drinks fresh!! The inside is so cute and a perfect place to study. Great drink options especially if you like sweet drinks, the churro latte is amazing!! I really liked the sugar free saffron latte as well!

If you go on Sunday the Cinnamon Bun is an absolute MUST! It is actually one of the best I have had. I love the vibe at Porfa and will continue to come back when I am in the area. They always have music that fits the vibe of the cafe, the decor is so nice and the staff is always kind and helpful. The food and drinks are always great and the staff will give suggestions/recommendations if you ask or are having trouble deciding. I love Porfa!

Went back to Porfa and loved it just as much! I tried the bruleed banana latte this time in a 20 oz and their ham/cheese quiche that was delicious and freshly warmed up! Parking can be a bit of a struggle as I had to illegally park along the lot, and the spaces are paid parking but I was able to get in and out.

Porfa Coffee is the cutest little coffee shop in Fort Lauderdale and has definitely become a favorite of mine. My boss and I stopped by a couple of days ago to co-work, and it was the perfect spot. They had a few Christmas-themed drinks and seasonal options, which made the experience feel extra cozy. I also tried one of their sandwiches and it was amazing. I usually do not eat eggs, but this one had soft scrambled eggs, the kind that are creamy and fluffy. I actually loved it. It added so much richness and paired perfectly with the cheese. The service was also amazing! I ordered an iced white peppermint matcha and it tasted exceptional, super smooth and well balanced. Everything was decorated in a festive, Christmassy way, and even the bathroom was a surprise. It had a little waterfall fountain that gave the space a spa-like, relaxing feel. Such a charming spot with great drinks, great food, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. I will definitely be back.

It's just soooooo good that's it's worth going out of my way for if I'm traveling within Ft. Lauderdale. Love the aesthetics, the drink combos and the espresso itself. It's a must try!! .

I enjoyed my trip here yesterday! It was a bit busy at first, but things mellowed out around 12:30 with a steady flow of customers. The inside is very clean, and I love the design--it's a mix of modern with 70s/80s decor. Very groovy. The staff is upbeat and kind, and the overall vibes are great. To be honest, I wasn't wow'd by my churro latte. It was still very good, just not as bold in flavor as I expected. Pro tip for my sweet-coffee lovers: add a couple pumps of sugar-free vanilla or another syrup you like to balance any bitterness. What did wow me was the cinnamon bun. It was out of this world--I thought about it all day. I'll definitely be coming back for that alone. Just make sure they're baked all the way through. My friend's was super doughy on the inside, but she was too shy to say anything. Luckily, mine was perfect. Overall, this spot has great vibes, great staff, and some real standout items. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

DOUBLE ESPRESSO - WELLS COFFEE BLEND
    Daren R.

Extremely busy coffee shop in Fort Lauderdale. Two little tables on the front patio and comfy seating inside selling pastry and Wells Coffee #9. Ordered my usual double espresso which was presented in a mini brown ceramic cup on a white molded saucer. Loved the round ball handle providing a sense of creativity. I tasted Wells coffee several times so knew it would be fine. The gender neutral bathroom was a spiritual retreat to say the least (see pic & video). Aside from the basic bathroom items there was a flowing polyresin three tier led zen fountain and a rattan pendant light fixture exemplifying the owner's originality of their business. Good tasting coffee in a creative setting with tight parking.

When I picked up the pie it came in a box inside of a large bag that was stapled shut. The staff was very friendly. After I returned to the office, I discovered that the pie had no meringue on top. I called the shop to let them know and they said that only single slices of the pie come with whipped cream. I let them know that the website indicates otherwise and there was no option to select any toppings when ordering. They kindly offered a refund which I took and appreciated, though they really should fix the website to prevent further confusion. Sadly nothing was appetizing there, but I checked my Yelp tags and I had Fireman Derek's marked. I knew it wouldn't be a proper lunch at a bakery but it would taste extra delectable. I walked into the high ceilinged spacious white interior of Fireman's. The guy working the counter was friendly and quick to help me. I shouldn't have come hungry. I got piece of apple pie, peanut butter and chocolate pie, and then, at a moment of weakness, I also got their famed magic bar. It's not a place that's affordable, it's a spot that you pay more because you know it has greatness. much later after lunch and hungry again, I had a bite of the aple pie. My goodness it was good. But when I took a bite of the magic bar I got a happy sugar rush that I hadn't gotten in a while. Scrumptious. I'm glad I stopped in, as any chance to support a smaller local business I think is important. Especially when you can taste the love in what they make.

I almost ordered some myself, even though I was waiting for my cheesecake. I ordered matcha cheesecake, and it almost seems like they made it from scratch! They've got cute chairs throughout the store and a nice, Parisian vibe. You can order croissants, gelato, cheesecake, carrot cake, and a whole host of sweets. I'm sure this is a Wilton Manors 'go to'!

First and foremost, their paletas are soooooo good and unique. They have the best flavors not found elsewhere and ingredients are carefully sourced. They don't cut corners.... Guava and cream, horchata, honey and goat cheese, passion fruit, Parmesan ricotta, lulo (IYKYK), among others. And if you're courageous and adventurous, go for their alcohol infused ones (vodka-lime, daiquiri, amaretto, mojito and so much more). They also have very unique gelato flavors. I tasted their lavender one today... no artificial colors!!!! Pure goodness. And that's just the beginning. They have to die for croissants and other artisanal specialty French pastries. I've never had a croissant like the ones they have at D'Liras. At every opportunity we drag friends and family and they all fully agree. I highly suggest visiting this place... it will become your go to for frozen and authentic French treats. Ps. Are my paketa way too fast and missed the photo opp!
