The lot across the street is unpaved and we came home with mud caked shoes. My partner and I were both disappointed in our food. I had the perch, which would've been OK except the plate was swimming in a runny mayonnaise based sauce. The fries fish and slaw were soaked with it. I asked for a small plate so I could quickly move the food off of the sauce. When I asked for tartar sauce, they stated that was the tartar sauce. I suggest if you order the perch, ask for the sauce on the side. The naan dip had very little taste or seasoning. It had a horseradish sauce that was bland. When my partner asked for more horseradish, they didn't have any. It is a nice location with a beautiful view of the golf course.

It is such a chill environment with a beautiful view. Our latest visit I got the stuffed French toast and my husband got the pancakes. Both were excellent. The maple bourbon syrup on my pancakes was delicious as was the Lincoln berry jam on his ricotta pancakes. It has to be really good to tempt him to order something sweet and he was so glad he did! We also treated our self by splitting a Miller high life 40 which they serve bottle style chilled on ice with two champagne flutes. Which is both Elegant and hilariously fun.

I adore crab so ordering that was a no brainer. Their coffee is strong. It took a ton of cream to change the color... though it was delicious with free refills for $5. The omelette was heaven. All the flavors melded well and I appreciated the crisp acidic salad to cut the richness of the omelette. My only critique is wishing the crab salad topping was a bit more decadent. For $21 I was hoping for big lumps of crab rather than cool shredded mayo based salad. All in all, I love this place, I love the concept. It was quite busy and was thankful to snag a seat at the bar. The service was friendly and quick. Best hipster establishment I've patronized in a long time. Make a reservation if you have a group or pray there is a seat at the bar. My boyfriend and I stumbled in during happy hour and were happy to grab some cheap drinks, but the main event was the burger! We typically like sitting at the bar as well and chat with the bartender who was absolutely lovely! The dirty martini was okay but I will definitely order something else next time as the olives just didn't hit for me. It's a quaint and quiet spot - you can read that as intimate - since it's not loud or rowdy, so if you want a really sweet date spot, feel free to check this one out! Otherwise, you can just go and have a casual, delicious dinner. Parking is limited with the street parking and it being so close to Monroe Center but you shouldn't have a terrible time finding something, even if requires a parking ramp vs street parking. I'd just recommend a reservation if you are going on a weekend or don't want to wait/sit at the bar!

We were instantly greeted and everyone was very friendly. The menu is kinda intimidating with so many options and everything having unique names. The staff said they'd help us walk through it all, which was helpful. There are literally 26 different things you can add to your order. My wife ordered a bowl and I order a pita, which they call a "sandweech" for some reason. The portions were large but it somehow got pretty pricey, even though I felt their menu was very reasonable. We each added a fountain drink and then I asked for a side of garlic, assuming it would come with a bunch of pita bread to dip. They asked if we wanted chips or pita, and we said pita. We got 1 piece of pita to share and basically a tub of garlic. It was comical and disappointing. I'm not sure if this is normal or we needed to pay for more pita. We each had half of a pita to dip in a jug of garlic. Overall, the food seemed fresh and it tasted great. The dining area was very clean and the parking was simple. Our only complaint was the side not coming with more pita. After looking at the menu from our table, I realized they could have made ours both a combo, since we ordered drinks and one side, and we could get another side as well, but they never suggested that. We'd probably come back in the future but there are a ton of pita places around town, especially locally owned options.

They'd only been open for a week or two, but the service was smooth and friendly. There is some space to dine in but if you have a large group it might be best to take it to go. The menu is simple yet kind of overwhelming as many things are customizable. They have bowls, wraps, quesopitas, sides, salads, and soups. You can make any of the entrees into a combo for an additional $5, which gets you a drink and a side. I went with the fattoush salad with dark meat chicken and feta, and Nate got the "sandweech" (wrap) combo with gyro meat. It was a bit tough to order as it was really loud in there with a lot of beeping/alarms going off and a lot of people talking all at once, so be aware if you are hard of hearing because I think that would be really difficult. However, the employees were all friendly and helpful with suggestions. I was asked some questions I didn't really know the answers to like if I wanted oil on my salad (after the dressing had been added)... so I just asked what the recommendation was. The food is prepared in front of you and everything seemed fresh. I was impressed by the size of the salad - we definitely could have split it. The chicken was juicy and seasoned well, and I loved the crunchy pita. Nate's gyro sandweech was also delicious, with plenty of sauce and tender meat. But the star of the show for me was the hummus and pita. This is the best hummus I've ever had in my entire life. It was SO creamy and flavorful. I could eat the entire container by myself. The pita was crispy and perfect to dip. They have some weekly specials that I'm interested in checking out (like Tuesdays when you can get two Dearborn sandwiches for only $10). You can order online ahead of time and they have a rewards program. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and more of that hummus!

I have noticed that over the past year, this stand has changed at least once, but it's always been a Mediterranean type of casual spot where they make your food in front of you. I wanted a salad recently and saw they had a kale salad on their menu at Damascus. The menu board said it was $5 for a "regular" and $8 for the larger size. I ordered the regular kale salad and asked to add gyro meat. When the order rang up, it came to $15 after tip! I was a little shocked but didn't say anything since I didn't know if maybe he misheard me or the prices weren't correct. Either way, it was a little shocking and I wasn't sure what to expect. I thought he'd make the salad right there, but someone in the back brought out a bag to me. It felt heavy! I opened up the container and had to laugh - it was a massive portion of gyro meat completely covering up the small salad! I did get my money's worth, but it wasn't quite what I was expecting. Either way, the salad itself was delicious. Honestly it was too much meat, even for me (a meat lover), and some of it was a bit dry. I know my coworkers enjoy the bowls at this spot (but they have also mentioned how the price can vary wildly for them) so I may try one of those next time I'm in the mood for something a little healthier.

If you cook, you know you have to peel away all layers of an onion to the first fully hydrated layer. Partially dehydrated onion once cooked becomes like cardboard or paper. I found once such piece of onion in my dish. Since it was just one, it didn't ruin the dish but they need to peel more carefully in the future. They have good hummus. They serve it with sliced vegetables and pita. It's a generous amount of hummus and vegetables and pita and hummus didn't outlast the dippables and dippables didn't outlast the hummus. Reasonable prices, many menu choices. Ambiance is basic but food is great.

The space is small and seating was a bit cramped. I wouldn't cone with more than 3 people max if you are hoping to be able to sit. But great if you want to grab it and head home. Shop was very loud due to the small space, music playing and people talking but thats expected. For me the cost seemed a bit high. The sandwiches just come on a standard size bread you would make at home and most of the options are just various ways to make a grilled cheese. And while they taste good, they are still $10 or more for a grilled cheese. Same for the soups, they taste good and lots of choices but for the small (12oz) you are still paying $8 or more. Which means even for just a standard grilled cheese and tomato soup you are spending $18 or more so it feels a bit expensive at that point. I had a Ruben (on standard sized bread) and a pastrami soup for $23. Also, no real need to upgrade for a $1 for the roll to come with your soup. Not really anything special about it. But again overall it did taste good on a cold day. Just which the cost was slightly lower and seating didn't feel cramped.
