My recent CPO purchase of a 2021 718 GT4 at Porsche of Riverside has left me with weeks of headaches and frustration. I purchased the vehicle in late Feb and immediately before purchasing the car threw an error code due to failed engine mounts and was making loud suspension noises, both of which the dealer said they would address when I brought the car back. The dealership replaced the engine mounts under warranty and pinpointed the suspension failure to a leaking right strut which was something that should have been caught during the so-called CPO inspection. Here I was purchasing a CPO vehicle for peace of mind, yet here I am, having driven the car only a few days and less than couple hundred miles before it had to be brought back in and had been sitting for nearly a month before they told me they wouldn't cover the part. Initially, the dealership assured me that they would cover the strut replacement. Now, after four weeks of my car sitting at the dealership, they have suddenly reversed course and expect me to pay out of pocket for the part, a problem that should never have existed in the first place. At this point, I am beyond frustrated with the quality control of the CPO program AND also with the lack of accountability from Porsche and the dealership. I purchased this car under the assumption that it had been thoroughly inspected. Instead, I am dealing with an expensive repair out of pocket on an otherwise great car with less than 6000 miles. The strut is currently still leaking and making loud pop/banging noises every time you drive the car. Ridiculous. read more

Not only that they did a courtesy full-inspection of the car including a video. I took my car in on a Saturday for an oil change, and chose the Riverside location over Ontario, since they were offering coupons for various services. My appointment was at 9:30AM, as I needed to be home by 1:30/2PM. William Barbaro was my assigned Service Coordinator, and greeted me within minutes of my arrival. I did have to wait while he checked the customer that arrived before me in, but was able to do so in the comfortable waiting area (TV and snacks are provided). I was a bit bewildered by a couple of things: A) Why do they have ONE Service Coordinator on a Saturday, and B) What are the two young ladies sitting at the counter doing to help him out (they were literally just sitting at another desk talking to each other)? At around 12:30, William advised that there were a couple of other items that needed some attention that he recommended, but at this point, I did not have the time to wait any longer and needed to get back home. Again, keep in mind that this is Saturday, and at this point in the day, William is literally running around like a chicken without a head taking care of all of the customers (and yes, the other two ladies were still sitting at the other desk doing absolutely nothing). I think because he was doing so much on his own, that took a few minutes for him to be able to process my paperwork and call for them to finish up and bring my car down. One of the ladies helped me pay my invoice, then went back to talk to her fellow employee. I was expecting to have my car pull up a minute or two after paying. After 20 minutes, I asked the girl who helped with my paperwork if she could check on my car. She just walked around in circles, slow as molasses, and didn't seem to have a clue what she was doing. Long story short, after over 30 minutes, I asked if I could get my keys and go retrieve my car myself. At this point, I had just over 30 minutes to get back home to Chino in time for the Zoom class I was teaching. Finally, someone brought my car down, and then the young lady mumbled something about having to move other cars so mine could get through, she's sorry for the wait, yadda yadda yadda ... I also overheard someone else comment, "Boy, they sure don't do anything fast here!" and I couldn't agree more. If I could rate just William, this dealership would have five stars. He sent me a very nice text message apologizing profusely for the excessive wait for my car and offered to give me a free fill-up of gas the next time I am in the Riverside area. VERY kind and professional, and shows he values my time! If I had to rate the Administrative staff, those young ladies get barely one star. Rather than having two young ladies hang out at one of the service stations doing nothing while they wait for a customer's paperwork, just have a second Service Coordinator, instead. Things would be much more organized and streamlined, I am sure. Overall, if you take your car here for service: 1) Make sure you have an appointment, and try to schedule your service during the week when it is less busy and they have more staff on hand 2) If you need to wait (like I did), do everything you can to get a ride from someone instead. Purchased my Porsche Taycan at this dealer and since then been having it serviced here as loyal customer maintaining a relationship with the dealer. However as of late, the quality of service provided at this facility has gradually decreased over the years. The workmanship remains great and service providers for most of them have been attentive. But lately, it's been difficult for them to return my calls regarding questions about services to be performed or even returning calls at all. They now been charging customers a credit card fee basically transferring the cost from the company to the consumer if one wants to use a credit card. So lately I now drive to another Porsche service dept in the Pasadena where they don't do that. I bought a porsche macan 2022 last year for my wife and I. Recently, we tried to start her car and the battery was dead. I called the road services to come help unlock the car and to jump start the car. And I thought that the battery would charge if I drove it. After I drove it for a couple hours, I stopped at the bank and I had to call them again to jumpstart it a second time... So the next day I decided to bring the car in to service and I asked if they could help explain why this was happening with our brand new car or if they could help charge or replace the battery. What I was told is, "that we only drove the car 3000 miles and porsche requires for you drive at least 6000 miles a year in order to warranty your battery or that they recommend you buy a battery maintainer if you don't drive a lot." And then I was charged $1100 to get a new battery. SMH I was very sad that I was $1100 out of pocket for a new battery and this is for a new car. I was never told by anyone and didn't expect that we needed to spend that much for a battery just because we didn't drive our car 6000 miles. The reason why I'm giving them a one star is because not one sales person or anybody at porsche ever told me about that when I bought my car. And the service department didn't even wash my car as they promised when I dropped it off. The guy that drove my car down said they did wash it but it was still dirty because it was sitting outside for a day or two. They kept my car there for 4 days and they just barely finished servicing it the day before I came to pick it up when they called me and the car didn't look cleaned at all. I know he was lying but I needed to leave for my meeting. So I couldn't stay longer and wait for them to do a wash. read more

He's very patient & understanding & takes time to educate me about the possible causes of my car's issues. Although it's frustrating to keep on bringing my car back for service because the warning lights still persist despite having been supposedly addressed by the service technicians, I still kept my religion with Porsche because of the way Cody Allen treats me & handles my car's issues.
