We bought a Macan S. As we were given the key, we notice that the wrap on the hood and driver mirror had come loose and accumulated dirt. When we pointed this out, we were told that make an appointment and they would fix it. When we brought the car back we were told all the could do is cut the bad area on the hood and to completely removed the film from the mirror and if I wanted it re-wrapped it would cost me $300. The big boss told me it came this way from the factory and I would have to contact them directly for any further action. I spent almost 100k and they would not pay $300 to make me happy. My recent CPO purchase of a 2021 718 GT4 at Porsche of Riverside has left me with weeks of headaches and frustration. I purchased the vehicle in late Feb and immediately before purchasing the car threw an error code due to failed engine mounts and was making loud suspension noises, both of which the dealer said they would address when I brought the car back. The dealership replaced the engine mounts under warranty and pinpointed the suspension failure to a leaking right strut which was something that should have been caught during the so-called CPO inspection. Here I was purchasing a CPO vehicle for peace of mind, yet here I am, having driven the car only a few days and less than couple hundred miles before it had to be brought back in and had been sitting for nearly a month before they told me they wouldn't cover the part. Initially, the dealership assured me that they would cover the strut replacement. Now, after four weeks of my car sitting at the dealership, they have suddenly reversed course and expect me to pay out of pocket for the part, a problem that should never have existed in the first place. At this point, I am beyond frustrated with the quality control of the CPO program AND also with the lack of accountability from Porsche and the dealership. I purchased this car under the assumption that it had been thoroughly inspected. Instead, I am dealing with an expensive repair out of pocket on an otherwise great car with less than 6000 miles. ILLEGAL BUSINESS PRACTICES. I strongly caution anyone considering doing business with this dealership. My recent experience on August 23 was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. On that date, I was offered and confirmed in writing by sales representative Tony an $8,500 discount on a Porsche Macan T (MSRP $83,245). Based on Tony's confirmation, I signed a credit application to move the process forward. At no point did anyone mention this was a "one-day only" offer or that it would expire. The very next day, I received a voicemail and a text message from General Manager Eric LaFever stating that the deal would not be honored, and that it had supposedly been a "one-day blowout." This was never disclosed when the discount was offered or when I signed the credit application. In other words, they secured my commitment and ran my credit under terms they had no intention of honoring. This is a textbook example of a bait-and-switch sales tactic, which is not only unethical, but an illegal business practice under California consumer protection laws. It wastes the customer's time, negatively impacts their credit, and erodes trust. I have documented written proof of the promised discount, the credit application, and the dealership's subsequent refusal. Because of this conduct, I have filed formal complaints with the California DMV Investigations Division, the Department of Consumer Affairs, the Attorney General's office, and Porsche Cars North America. I will also be sharing this experience with Porsche owner communities and forums so others can avoid the same situation. Beware beware of service department and service manager Dan Tow! This service manager DAN TOW will do everything he can in order to NOT make a WARRANTY repair. I am utterly shocked at the consistently TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE I have had at the Porsche Riverside service center. Specifically with the SERVICE MANAGER Dan Tow. I chose this service center specifically due their 4.8/5 online rating. Photo evidence of the entire experience is attached below. I cannot believe how NEGATIVE this experience has been. I have now had to make FOUR SEPARATE 100 mile TRIPS in order to try and get this issue repair: Within 100 miles of purchasing this car with an original 20 miles on the dashboard an array of warning lights appears stating multiple malfunctions and failures such as: A) protective occupant protection unavailable B) adaptive cruise control not available C) assistance systems defective D) active lane keeping not available and service required I have had to make multiple trips where they supposedly repair these items and within a few days the notification lights come on. After the 2nd attempt I purchased a dummy belt buckle to try and get the seat belt notification to stop as after setting and unsetting a few times it would eventually stop. On the 3rd or 4th attempt for repair they then told me it was my causing due to the dummy belt buckle. Clearly this was the easy way out for them in order to not have to make repairs and not Despite it not being there on the first 2 repair attempts and the service advisor confirming that the was not the cause of the issue. I consistently tested and issue would still arise without the dummy buckled in. I repeatedly told them that and despite that they continue to try and blame it on that. Andre the service advisor corroborated what i stated as he himself witnessed the issue as I sent multiple videos and photos showing the issue arising on multiple different occasions. The issue once again has appeared and they have not made any attempt to repair. It is clear that this service center is doing everything they can to not make warranty repairs. It seems they are doing everything they can to avoid doing any type of warranty work as more than likely the revenue generated from that is not equivalent to their normal out of warranty repairs. In ADDITION, after every single drop off, they would not look at the car until days later despite me mentioning speed of repair was significant to me. After having to make multiple trips due their incompetency with the repair, I would at bare minimum expect to be given priority but clearly the manager Dan did not care and gave minimal important to this issue. This is utterly embarrassing, can't even drive the car as the seat belt blinker continuously makes noise despite me wearing the actual seat belt and my passengers can clearly notice it and have questioned how could a new car already be having issues. I am still in disbelief that the type of TREATMENT and experience I was given by a brand a reputable as Porsche. I am completely disappointed at the utter disregard for these issues from upper management DAN at Porsche Riverside. The only POSITIVE note I have is for the sales team, specifically Erick the manager, Sherman and service ADVISOR Andre. These guys were absolutely phenomenal to work with. After multiple experiences with brands like Mercedes, BMW and Maserati, they are by far the absolute best sales and customer service experience I have had to date. It is clear that is is because of these gentleman that this dealership is thriving. I will definitely refer every single interested party I know as these gentleman will surely get me positive feedback and rapport from anyone I send over. As for service, I will make sure to let everyone know to RUN THE OTHER WAY unless they are prepared to waste countless hours and experience terrible treatment. It takes 7 months but it's totally worth the wait. I called around to many other Porsche dealerships trying to build a Porsche, but no other dealership could help me. Bought a CPO (Certified Pre-owned) from this location. Our first Porsche. Three weeks into it there were two major issues with the car, second of which left the car dead at home and had to be towed. The issues were battery and motors. When I contacted them about the warranty coverage they basically told me "car was fine when you drove off the lot" like some 2-bit used car salesman and refused to cover it under warranty, and I was handed $3000-4000 repair bill. IN THE FIRST MONTH OF OWNERSHIP. Post sales they also almost denied to perform a minor modification to the car for free, that was promised it would be done for free during sales negotiation. We had to escalate it to upper management to get the mod done for free. This is of course a minor issue compared to the repairs. There was also miscalculation of taxes on their part that ended up with a higher monthly payment for us than previously discussed. As this is a math calculation issue it's less dishonesty and more incompetence. We've bought cars from Mazda, Honda, Lexus, infini, Fiat, Audi and BMW and Porsche is by far the most dishonest and the worst brand, at least the Riverside one is. read more
