Unfortunately, our experience with Port A Escape was extremely disappointing, and the condition of the property was far below what we expected from a professionally managed vacation rental. The first thing we noticed was a strong mildew smell throughout the property. Multiple members of our family woke up each morning with sinus irritation and sore throats. Those symptoms improved after we left the condo for the day and returned again after spending the night there. We cannot say whether mold was present without testing, but there were also areas of bubbled paint and visible evidence of previous water damage, which made the persistent mildew odor particularly concerning. The property is advertised as a three-story condo, which is technically accurate, but the first floor is unfinished and largely unusable as living space. Unfortunately, this is also where guests are expected to do laundry. During our stay, there was a dead mouse on the floor in this unfinished area. The air conditioning was another major problem. For multiple days, we could not get the condo to cool below approximately 76°F, despite the September Texas heat. The exterior AC unit is visibly extremely rusted and deteriorated. There were numerous other maintenance and cleanliness issues. The kitchen sink is heavily stained, the floor grout is badly discolored, furniture is sunken/collapsing, and some of the kitchen cabinets cannot open normally because they scrape against the wall. The refrigerator also cannot open fully because of its placement against the wall. The sliding shower doors do not appear to be properly anchored. Several doors are difficult to open and close, and the master bedroom has what appears to be a bifold closet-style door being used as the bedroom door, with a pull only on the inside. The beds were extremely hard, and the master mattress has a pronounced V-shaped depression toward the middle, making it particularly uncomfortable. Outside, the palm trees were so overgrown across the entrance that we had to move/remove palm fronds ourselves just to comfortably access the property. The house numbers are obscured from the street by the vegetation and are themselves coming loose from the wall. The overall cleanliness was also disappointing for a rental that is supposed to be professionally cleaned between guests. We paid a $200+ cleaning fee, yet the property did not appear thoroughly cleaned when we arrived. Guests are additionally instructed at checkout to take out all trash, load and start the dishwasher, and reset the AC. We were also uncomfortable with the check-in process. We were told that check-in instructions would be provided on the day of arrival, but did not realize this meant we would receive essentially no access information until the property was actually ready around 4 p.m. Because we had a roughly 7-hour drive and were arriving on a holiday, we had to leave home without having the information needed to access the rental and simply trust that it would arrive later that day. The 4 p.m. check-in time itself was expected; the lack of clarity about when access instructions would actually be provided was the issue. Any one of these things might have been a relatively minor inconvenience, but taken together, they point to a property that needs substantial cleaning, maintenance, and repair before continuing to be rented in its current condition. The mildew odor and associated physical symptoms, inability to adequately cool the property, dead mouse in the laundry area, deteriorated furnishings, improperly functioning doors/fixtures, and general state of maintenance went well beyond cosmetic complaints. We took photographs documenting many of these conditions during our stay. Based on the condition of the property we received compared with what we reasonably expected from the listing and the cleaning/management fees charged, we would not rent this property again and cannot recommend it in its current condition. read more

Terrible stay, AC didn't work the entire trip. They sent 4 different HVAC techs with no resolution. In addition we woke up to cockroaches crawling on the beds and one guests faces! I debated posting this, but after the way this situation was handled, I feel other families should be aware. My family rented through "Port A Escapes"for what was supposed to be my birthday trip. During our stay, my 5 year-old daughter dropped something behind a nightstand and found a small container that she thankfully brought directly to me. When I opened it, it smelled strongly of marijuana and contained a waxy residue. As a parent, that was alarming for several reasons... 1.) There were four young children staying in the home. I am incredibly thankful my daughter brought it to an adult instead of opening it further or putting it in her mouth. Had that happened, this could have been a very different situation. 2.) We also had two dogs that could have easily found this. 3.) This was a spot that should have been cleaned prior to our arrival? As we continued looking around the property, we also found old food, including a Pop-Tart shoved in the couch, trash under furniture, and other cleanliness issues. While those things are frustrating, I understand mistakes happen. What I cannot overlook is what appeared to be drug paraphernalia being left behind in a home that advertises thorough cleaning and inspections. My original email to Port A Escapes simply explained what we found and why I was concerned.. I never requested a refund. I wanted accountability and reassurance that this would be taken seriously. I wanted to speak to someone in a management position about this. To their credit, they refunded the cleaning fee and offered to send someone to the property to re clean. We had already cleaned everything up at that point. However, what truly disappointed me was being accidentally included on an internal email chain in which Savannah McGrath, Director of Operations, described me as "unreasonable" and stated that "basically what she's after is a refund." ON MY BIRTHDAY. As a mother, I find that response from a director of operations extremely concerning.. and highly un professional. To suggest I'm being unreasonable or simply looking for a refund after my 5-year-old found what appeared to be drug paraphernalia in your rental is incredibly insulting. We travel to the coast 6-7 times every year and have rented numerous vacation homes over the years. Never have we experienced anything like this, nor have we ever felt so dismissed for raising a legitimate safety concern involving children. Some of our family members with children were uncomfortable enough with the situation that they chose to leave DAYS early. What should have been a relaxing family birthday trip ended with disappointment and concern. Port A Escapes has permanently lost our business. I hope they take situations like this more seriously in the future, because the next family's outcome may not be as fortunate as ours. read more

Do not pay attention to reviews on company website. My review was not good and is not posted. All reviews on website are glowing 5 stars. They're from years ago. Doubt they're from actual customers. Our reservation was easy and no problems at all. Problem was with the house. We paid $375 per night for 4 nights. You'd think the house would be very nice. This owner obviously doesn't care if house is updated with nice furnishings and appliances. It's in Royal Palm unit number 15. The pictures with wide angle lens of course were very misleading. House is much smaller than it appeared. The bedrooms looked like they were spacious and had decent bedding. Primary bedroom on first floor did not have a closet. My husband had to hang his shirts on door knob and I had to fold my shirts and dress and put in drawer. King bed had top sheet that was too small and bedding was one thin spread. Bedrooms upstairs also looked nothing like pictures. We each had one towel one washcloth and one hand towel. There is a washer and dryer but no detergent so if guests are expected to wash towels etc then the least that could be done is first let you know about towel situation and provide detergent. We've stayed in other houses in the past and there was plenty of towels and wash cloths. The living room was small and couch and loveseat were very dated and needed replacing. The refrigerator didn't have ice maker. There were 2 ice cube trays in freezer and counter top ice maker. However it had stagnant water and bugs in it. So I was not going to clean and use so we had to buy ice for drinks. The trash sacks provided were thin and had no way to tie them when full. Parking was extremely tight. We could barely park 2 vehicles in space allotted. But the biggest disgusting problem were the HUGE WATER BUGS THAT FLY. My granddaughter was taking a shower in upstairs bathroom looked up and one was looking down at her. The next morning in primary bath there was a HUGE one running around and dead one under a towel that had probably died when towel was stepped on. Also in kitchen we found several others. I'm so glad we didn't use any dishes provided because I'm sure those bugs had been crawling around on them. Thank God it was morning we left. Do not stay in this house. It seems the owner puts the cheapest things possible in the house. I know the water bugs are bad around water but for what we paid monthly exterminating should be done. We thought we were renting from the actual owner on AirBNB, we were sadely mistaken! 100% would not recommend renting from Port A Escapes! I have filed a complaint with AirBNB as well! I have had nothing but issues from the time we rented the condo. When the manager of the actual condo's states " oh I am sorry you rented from them" I figured I was in trouble . 1. We were lied to about parking, we were told we would have two parking spots and one could be used for a golfcart. The condo management states you get one parking spot and no golfcart allowed on condo property. I had to park the golfcart and other car on the street outside of the security gate. 2. Advertised as Dog friendly, and when I showed up no dogs allowed! 3. Advertised as available boat docs on property. We show up and you can't use boat docs or be on the boat doc. Sad that this place has a million dollar view, but the management company causes you frustration from word one. We spend about two months a year in Port Aransas, and I will never stay in another property managed by this business! I was told by actual property management to take a video of the house before I leave to make sure I have documenting on how the house was left. Our stay at "Show Me Your Tito's" was disappointing from the moment we arrived. On the first day, we immediately noticed a strong cigarette smoke odor throughout the unit, and there was visible mold on the bathroom doors. The most serious issue occurred on our second night when we detected a gas leak. Maintenance responded but spent only a few minutes at the property before simply turning off the gas valve and leaving. Around 2:00 a.m., the gas company arrived, conducted a thorough inspection, and also determined that the gas needed to remain off for safety reasons. As a result, we were unable to use hot water for showers and could not cook dinner that evening or breakfast the following morning. We were also instructed to keep the windows open, which left the casita warm, humid, and uncomfortable overnight. The next morning, another gas company technician inspected the property and identified old, faulty stove knobs as the source of the problem. What was especially frustrating was the response from management afterward. The property manager attempted to claim that a smoke detector in the unit was a combination smoke and carbon monoxide detector. We photographed the device and verified that it was only a smoke detector, not a dual-purpose unit as represented. Guest safety should be a top priority. Between the cigarette odor, mold concerns, gas leak, loss of essential amenities, and misleading information regarding carbon monoxide detection, this property did not meet reasonable expectations. I hope these issues are addressed before future guests stay here. read more

I would give 0 stars if possible. I planned a birthday trip to Port Aransas at Port A Escapes for 5/22/5/25/2026 with my family. The National Weather Service issued a flood watch during those dates. I am a right below-the-knee amputee and my mobility is limited. I requested a refund or to reschedule to another date and the host manager refused. Even when there was clear evidence that there was a warning for that area, she tried to be misleading. VRBO who was the third part booking agency advocated for us and offered a partial refund. Then the freezer to the fridge, it wouldn't even close. The primary room bathroom door wouldn't close. The dryer wouldn't dry... we had 1 towel per person for the 3 night stay. I see these reviews and am surprised because our experience has not been like this at all with the company. In the past, we used VRBO but had a bad experience with rude owner. We submitted the signed contract along with copies of our driver's license several days ahead of our check in date. On the way down to TX on the day of our check in texted that they did not receive our ID's even though they had said earlier that they had everything, They would not be able to give us our check in code until they got them. So, after several texts, we pulled over, took pictures of our ID's and forwarded them to Port A Escapes. When we arrived we had the following problems: Master BR has a king frame, a queen mattress and a full size fitted sheet that would not stay on the corners, of course. A slat in the master BR window curtain was on the floor when we got here. Someone had used a ton of glue to try to "fix it" but they were unsuccessful. The master BR mattress had a ridge down the middle and was very uncomfortable. Very old, too. Neither TV would work when we got here and we had to call for help. The help did come quickly and got them working. All in all we were very disappointed. Port A did not disappoint! We stayed at Sea Isle Villages. Great location and nice walk to the beach. SPOILER ALERT!! This property provided 1 towel and 1 washcloth per guest for our ENTIRE 3 night stay. This is absolutely unacceptable. Being told, by the booking agent, it was due to water restrictions is laughable at best. This might be believable had there been information on water restrictions provide. We were informed that there was a laundry onsite and could wash the towels ourself for $3/load. Classic example of dishonest advertising and blatant price gouging. read more

Where do I begin....first we get to pick up our after hour key in the lockbox that was texted to us. It was open with the code already entered and empty. So after waiting about 30 minutes for someone to come they have us another "packet" with the key to the condo that was supposed to be in the lockbox. Their excuse was that the person working there was "new". Well, We get to our destination to find out that someone else was already in that condo. Again after waiting another 15-20 minutes (it was already around 9:30) the night manager says they have another condo for us.....so finally we get the keys to a condo we never rented. Stupid. I do not recommend using this company for rentals. The house was not as advertised. We sent them an email and called them about some issues we were having and this is the only response we received. Construction was happening over the backyard our entire stay and debris and nails were all in the yard and pool. Port a escapes did not care at all. Our toddlers were picking up nails and screws from the bottom of the pool, guys on lifts nailing over the backyard while we were swimming in the pool. We had the July 4th week rented in one of their units. They called 3 days before and cancelled claiming unfinished repairs. We got lucky and found another place, decided to drive by the place that was cancelled. To our surprise it was occupied. These guys lied and blamed a tragic disaster. They are despicable. Will be turning them into better business bureau. Beware of these crooks Follow-up on earlier comment. We talked with the people in the unit that PAE had rented to us and then cancelled. They were relatives of the owner so it seems both the owner and this company are dishonest. Do not count on them to deliver. Rented Lucky Enough in the Village Walk area for our family vacation. House was perfect size for all of us, great location, and beautiful views of the gulf from the roof top BUT.......... We were greeted with a dead roach on the 2nd level stairs even though I thought they clean the property before we got there. Another roach was in the bunk bed! Then another one the next day on the 2nd level powder room. The pool was dirty! I called Port A Escaped maintenance on Friday and was told the pool people would be out that day to clean and they would call the exterminator. 4pm Friday, pool people had not come out and of course no one from Port A Escapes called to give me an update so I called. Was told they would reach out again. Called on Saturday - of course no one was there to help so I left a message and never heard back. And still haven't heard back from them! I will never book thru Port A Escapes again. I have been coming to Port A since I was a kid and now bringing my own family - this is the worst rental company I have come across. read more

I showed up the first night, and the air conditioner was broken. At first, we were told they would check the air conditioner in the morning because the house did not have any shade. An hour later, on vacation, and we still cannot take the heat in the house and make another call, they offer a repair person to come out and look at the unit and loan us one fan for eight guests. The repair person fills the unit with freon. I wasted several hours while on vacation getting help for the condo's condition with lots of pushback; only after requesting my money back did the management company decide to do something. read more

My wife and daughter booked a beach house with another rental company for August 11, 2022 through August 14, 2022 for a family weekend get-a-way. Upon entering the original rental we were horrified on the condition of the rental. So we found an angel in Brenda with Port A Escapes. Doing business with these clowns is a joke. They will not hesitate to take your money but the customer service is HORRID!!! we showed up to find no sheets on our master bed and no towels in our 2 bedroom condo. So we had to wait till the next day because supposedly no one could bring up any the night we checked in. Next day after calling again for towels and sheets we get a black trash bag of sheets and towels delivered. They ask to see the bed in question like we are lying... and then leave. Look that person may not have been a housekeeper but neither is anyone in my family!! And if I'm paying $1,200 damm dollars to stay somewhere. We did have an issue with the floors not being mopped in the first place we stayed, but everything else was great with that place, and everything has been great on the other two rentals. We stayed at a Port A Escapes property that we rented from a well known hotel rental website even though it was a cottage and not a part of a hotel. The listing on the website calls it "the Cutest cottage in all Port A" but the payment receipt calls it "Spring Showers SS523G." This was the perfect little cottage getaway for the weekend. It has a full kitchen and you can save a lot of money by cooking your own meals at home. The welcome text did say that the refrigerator and A/C can freeze up if you turn them all the way down but we never had any problems. And we moved the thermostat down gently and incrementally and made it to a chilly 70 at night with no problems! The welcome message reminds you to bring your own personal soap and they mean it! there is no shampoo or body wash supplied- not even to wash your hands. Also, no beach towels are provided. It is also a good idea to stop for a bag of ice on your way as they only supply two ice trays. A few drawbacks were that the Queen sheets were obviously low budget and uncomfortable. The other drawback is that the bathroom is tiny and inches away from the bed. So if you're a new couple that's not completely comfortable around each other, you're going to get comfortable pretty quickly! The bathroom pocket door also did not lock. I LOVED that the wifi was private and they even have a DVD player if you want to bring a movie to watch. The room was walking distance to everything, including the beach, but you'll probably want to just rent a golf cart or buy a beach parking pass because everywhere we went had plenty of parking. Overall, even with the minor inconveniences like the bathroom privacy and firm sheets, we will gladly go back anytime! Well worth it! read more

The owner, Tracey, is there only maybe once a week and does not care about you or your vacation or your experience. They market a bunch of properties on Airbnb under her personally but they're managed by Port A Escapes. Their cleaning people are awful. What they charge for a stay at some places is just obscene. It's so easy to find an individual to stay with on Airbnb or vrbo to get an actual human touch and not just be a number. Stead clear. read more

Rented a home through VRBO thinking it was a rental from a homeowner, NOT this company. Terrible experience so far. If we could leave and find another place, we would. Rented a home for 13+ people for my moms 70th birthday toward the end of summer. Check in time was the only thing that has been accurate with this rental company. When we showed up, the floors in the house were still dirty and sandy. Roaches (of all sizes) popping up throughout the house. BBQ pit was not even recognizable as a bbq pit. Broken in pieces on patio. No beach access as shown and as it said in the description. We called the management company on our first full day here first thing in the morning and explained the issues... they said they were going to send over a pest company to spray while we were gone during the day and would bring a grill over as well. We went to the beach all day (having to reload our vehicles and trailer to drive 5-10mins instead is a simple walk), came back to nothing being done. Finally a woman in a pest control truck showed up about 5pm - we could not let her spray due to kids & baby in the home already. We had to borrow a grill from the neighbor just to cook dinner. I think paying $1300 a night... we wouldn't have ANY of these issues. And still have yet to hear form management regarding any of these issues read more

We took a group of 11 people to a Port Aransas Escapes beach house last October. The house was amazing. It accommodated us all very well. It had three stories, an amazing rooftop deck, two terrific porches, a small garage and even an elevator. One of the three stories was just the common social areas-- kitchen, dining and living areas in one giant room. We were all adults (read: twentysomethings and one thirtysomething) but the rooms and beds still fit us well. The only down side to the place? It didn't have beach access. We could see the ocean really well, but the only nearby walkway was locked, reserved for the residents of a neighboring street. Still, it was only about a half mile drive (I think, that's what the renters said). Two nights only cost $1015 all told (with tax, cleaning fees, waivers, etc), which is pretty damn cheap split 11 ways, and 25% was due as a deposit. The rental agreement said "guests must be 25 years or older" but they weren't checking IDs or anything. I was sort of unclear if just the person responsible was supposed to be that old, or the whole party was. And what about kids? Anyway, the place was very clean, well maintained and welcoming. A couple of the TV remotes (there were 3-4 TVs around the place) were switched, but that was just about my biggest complaint I could muster on that front. Oh, and the subdivision/complex was new enough that Google Maps hadn't caught up. Some people got a little lost. Other than that, we had a perfect October beach weekend based out of a terrific house. Port Aransas Escapes ripped us off and ruined our weekend get-away. When we set up accommodations there were no issues with having a pet (5lb dog). Once we arrived at the condo there was a sewage back-up in the bathrooms with feces and water in the bathroom area. Additionally there was a sign in the room stating no pets. I called Port Aransas Escapes immediately to inform them of the sewage issue in the room as well as the pet we had with us. Port A Escapes had us come back to their offices to discuss options. We offered to rent other properties they had however there were no other accommodations available. In the end Port Aransas Escapes would not refund our deposit although we were honest with them and insisted we pay the deposit. Be careful when renting from them; the owner Tracy is not very accommodating and in the end Port A. Escapes is a real estate broker and not in any way in the hospitality industry. read more

Awesome location and awesome management. We had an issue with a leaking sink and they were right out to fix it. Unclogged the drain and fixed the leak. 3 stars may be a too generous review. When we booked our 2 night stay, we didn't get any information that we will be picking up our room keys somewhere else than listed in the email... That was unnecessary trip and concussion. I'm giving 3 stars for good location close to the beach and pretty reliable wifi. Why not 5 stars? Futon was missing a blanket...just plain sheets were provided. There was mold all over the ceiling and front door ready to fall apart and really difficult to even open from inside- very outdated all together. Towels were provided, but usually you would see travel size toiletries...nothing, not even a soap to wash your hands after the trip. Anyhow, we won't be coming back. read more

I go to make final payment and it says something was changed on my reservation so I message to ask what changed. At this time I was informed that the house was pulled from rentals that I needed to find a new house to check my email bluh bluh bluh. So I cannot find nothing close to what I was looking at with what they wanted to offer instead of the ten bedroom house I had booked. So I ask for refund... only they shorted my refund by 500 dollars and why since it was there fault and not on my part since the house was pulled. read more

If I could give this company a lesser rating, I would. My family was extremely disappointing in the quality of the rental we revived in Port Aransas. What was most disheartening is that we found numerous negative reviews about this property, as well as terrible comments in the guest book located on site at the rental all dating back to 2015 and beyond. Judging from our experience, there was not (not had there ever been) a sense of urgency to bring the property up to acceptable standards. What a shame -a disgrace, really. The positive was the location of the property. So in booking we were told there was a $50 an hour early check in and check in is 4pm. received a call at 1130 and told the place was ready now. We already had planned our trip to arrive at 4. We were at Beachhead Condo #501. Parking was horrible for 2 vehicles. When we had some rain there was a waterfall in front of the door from the floors above us. No other condos on our floor had this issue. The beds were old and the pictures must have been pre Harvey. The view from the deck is also misleading . We have been longtime visitors to Port A and understand the limited places to stay and how things are being rebuilt. But I would not recommend this place to stay unless they cut the price that actually reflects what you are getting. Not to mention the fees that are added on. read more

We had a disappointing experience with our Airbnb rented through Port A Escapes in Port Aransas. There was a leak in the wall that flooded the master bedroom. When the repair man came to check he commented that this house should not have been rented this has happened several times. The fix..... wet towels left overnight. Rented the Shiny Shell Cottage LC11 July 7-10th. My family and I have stayed in numerous houses or condos in Port A for years. I have to say this one was the worst. Right when we walked in the house we were hit with the smell of moth balls. I absolutely can't stand that smell so it nearly ruined it for me from the get go. Next we noticed the floors didn't look like they had been mopped at all, several doors had issues closing, several roaches were spotted, two of the three bathrooms had tiny low to the ground toilets that were very old & hard for some of the guests to use. The layout was horrible as well. The lower level was made into a bedroom but had no bathroom. The main level had kitchen, LR, one bedroom & one bathroom. Then upstairs there were two bedrooms/two bathrooms. So when everyone was in the main level you had to run upstairs to use the other bathrooms, especially if you weren't keen on using a tiny toilet. The pots and baking pans were so old we really didn't want to use them & dishwasher had issues. The pool was also very dirty. I guess it could have been worse though. The big group staying next to us had their main A/C unit go out and they could not fix it. They had only one floor that had A/C and it only had one bedroom. Someone even slept outside. They said they were only refunded half of their money. Would not book here again. read more

I have rented twice with Port A Escapes- Last year the house was very nice, but dirty. Port A Escapes was not too concerned. We had rented the house right next door the year before from another management company... and it was very clean when we checked in. This year, the house we rented was terrible. Obviously the owner is ultimately responsible for the condition of a house, but a management company should monitor the condition of what they are managing!!! Given that we would not want anyone to rent the house we rented, my MIL tried posting her review and it was quickly taken down (presumably by Port A Escapes.) Based on the scattered dates of the various reviews, it appears that Port A Escapes has most likely taken down other reviews. Again, Port A Escapes was not concerned sadly with the condition of the property that we rented (141 Porto Villageo Dr. Port Aransas, TX. 78373 ) So, our review now is primarily about Port A Escapes and their lack of concern about the properties they manage and how they deal with people who rent from them. Port A Escapes should 1) get a new cleaning crew and or supervisor!! and 2) be more selective about the properties they manage. I think their biggest concern is the $$ in their pocket and not customer service!!! If you want to know about the house.. read on!! WAY too much money for what you get from this property. The grass was overgrown with so many stickers that you couldn't walk along the driveway or sidewalk without getting a ton in your shoes and/or feet!! The sofa in the living room stunk soooo bad.. like urine and body odor. We had to try and put sheets over it to cover the smell and to have a place to sit- but ended up having to use some extra comforters that were in the house because they were thicker !! There were only like two pans in the kitchen and not many utensils. The floor had obviously not been mopped before our arrival, and in who knows how long. My kids feet were filthy black after running around for less than an hour after we got there. I had to mop myself. The carpet was terribly stained in the downstairs bedrooms and had not been vacuumed either. The master bedroom upstairs had no curtains and was so bright from the street light.. that it was hard to sleep. To top it off, it rained on Sunday and the living room ceiling leaked and we had to use our clean coolers to catch the water. Sad to say, I won't be renting from Port A Escapes again. We stayed at a unit of theirs and it was disgusting! Sea Isle Villas unit 27 was disgusting. Dirty, full of bugs, outdated, stinky, carpet was wet and full of stains. We paid for two-night stay and I wanted to go home after the first hour! Will never use them again and will make sure to let everyone know not to use them! Look at your units and have some respect for people paying to stay at them!! read more

We have been coming down to Port A for 25 years. My husband loves to fish. We have boys.We always stay at Channel view Condominiums. We have always enjoyed onsite management, friendly and frequent maid service.This has all changed. This is the first time it wasn't really clean. When I took my shoes off, there was sand and grit on the tile floor which translates to sand and grit on the sheets that are no longer changed. Bait was STOLEN out of our bait buckets TWICE from the private pier .That has never happened before. 200$ increase with added fees.and for What??? I cleaned the apartment, did dishes and emptied all trash in flimsy cheap trash bags that split halfway down the stairwell from apartment 206 hauling them out to the dumpster quite a ways from the condo's. After I had picked up all the trash again I couldn't help but notice all the split bags in the dumpster. If you are going to make the guests haul out the trash at least invest in some STURDY trash bags. On our 2nd day a repair man burst in to the apartment without knocking to "repair a hole in the drywall". We were all changing at the time. He had been instructed he could just "Come in"???? BY WHOM? He asked us if we had just arrived at channel view and was very surprised we had been there for 2 days. He of course apologized and left. We were all startled. Toaster was broken, cable reception was awful, Internet reception was "iffy" Channel view condominiums are no longer the value they used to be, and no more friendly helpful familiar faces. We booked a vacation for the week of the 4th of July at a home managed by Port Aransas Escape MONTHS in advance. We were told DAYS before our stay that the home was not ready due to Hurricane Harvey. Fortunately, we were able to find another home (being privately advertised). We drove by the original home that we were suppose to stay in, the home managed by Port Aransas Escapes, the home "still damaged by Hurricane Harvey," and to our surprise, the home had been rented out to ANOTHER family. Port Aransas Escapes lied to us and had the audacity to blame a horrible natural disaster. We will NEVER rent another property managed by this TERRIBLE property management company!! read more
