We walk in, our room looks nice and clean. One of my friends said "oh my gosh, I saw a review from three months ago that said there was bedbugs in one of the rooms here. But I couldn't bear to look at what room it was." I said "oh my gosh, we have to look! what if it's our room?" Well... What do you know? Room 6320. Our room. The same exact room that a review was left three months ago about bedbugs being in there. I called the front desk and they were not only unhelpful, the person I spoke with was flat out rude. They said there was no manager that I can speak with about the kind of treatment that got put into place to ensure there was no bedbugs in our room. we went to search our rooms and quickly found the bed bugs. multiple of them. In plain sight. I will absolutely NEVER stay here again. And the sad part is, I said that last time! I don't even want to know how many oeople stayed here without knowing there were bed bugs, over the past three months. It's criminal that they've allowed people to stay in this condo! Look up the process of getting rid of these bugs, if you don't already know. It is a complete night mare to get rid of them and costs thousands of dollars. If we hadn't caught this instantly, we would be leaving Port Royal with bed bugs. I will never shut up about this. Do NOT stay here. They don't clean properly and they sure as heck don't care if their rooms are infested with bed bugs!! Disgusting!!! While I'm grateful I didn't have to fight for a full refund, the trip we planned for almost a year is ruined and there's nowhere else to stay at this point.

On the first day,…read morewe immediately noticed a strong cigarette smoke odor throughout the unit, and there was visible mold on the bathroom doors. The most serious issue occurred on our second night when we detected a gas leak. Maintenance responded but spent only a few minutes at the property before simply turning off the gas valve and leaving. Around 2:00 a.m., the gas company arrived, conducted a thorough inspection, and also determined that the gas needed to remain off for safety reasons. As a result, we were unable to use hot water for showers and could not cook dinner that evening or breakfast the following morning. We were also instructed to keep the windows open, which left the casita warm, humid, and uncomfortable overnight. The next morning, another gas company technician inspected the property and identified old, faulty stove knobs as the source of the problem. What was especially frustrating was the response from management afterward. The property manager attempted to claim that a smoke detector in the unit was a combination smoke and carbon monoxide detector. We photographed the device and verified that it was only a smoke detector, not a dual-purpose unit as represented. Guest safety should be a top priority. Between the cigarette odor, mold concerns, gas leak, loss of essential amenities, and misleading information regarding carbon monoxide detection, this property did not meet reasonable expectations. I hope these issues are addressed before future guests stay here.

Longing for surf and sand, we scheduled a long weekend in Port Aransas and found a fantastic house within 5 minutes of the beach. "Villa 4 Rita" is dog friendly and can sleep a total of eight. The setup includes two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with twin beds. An open loft sleeps 4 but it has a low ceiling and the stairs are treacherous. Melissa made our trip fantastic. We got her take on restaurants and took her up on a few of her suggestions. Check in and check out were as easy as the beach breeze.

Not only is there website the most friendly, so are their prices. They never charge hidden fees and they carry mostly mid-range properties. They provide two tabs for dishwasher, a small dish soap, at least two toilet paper rolls, a trash bag, and all of the linens (towels, too). You bring additional of the other if needed - but this is a small price to pay for NO FEES. Getting your key is as easy as stopping by their office (located near the ferry landing). If you arrive after 4pm, there's a drop box and you can pay on your way out. You must put down 1 night deposit (you can use credit card online) and pay full amount when you arrive, but they only accept checks, money orders and cashiers checks up to 2 weeks prior to your stay. Upon arrival you can pay with credit card (although it's very courteous to pay with debit) or cashier's check. We once had several houses booked for a large party so I made sure to bring a cashier's check to avoid the fees. There are very few properties I've not completely loved in the last 5 years of booking with them. If you want an honest opinion about a property - hit me up and I will let you know. TIP: Hang on to your keys - only fees are for lost keys!

Thank you. I just hope after 3 stays they will have to the money to make the property more modern like the Sea Gull & their sister property. Thing I like most of Port Royal are the hot tubs and able to use the washer and dryer in the units.

La La Land was a gorgeous home and we would definitely stay at this unit again. Unfortunately, our most recent stay included several service and maintenance issues that impacted the experience. While the staff was courteous, response times were challenging when problems arose. The most significant issue occurred on our final night when multiple fire alarms sounded in our unit for an extended period of time while we were traveling with an infant and toddler. Because maintenance was not immediately available on-site, it took quite some time to resolve the situation. I truly believe our experience would have been very different had maintenance personnel been available on the property to respond more quickly to urgent issues. For a resort of this size and caliber, having faster on-site maintenance support would greatly improve the guest experience and help prevent minor issues from becoming major disruptions. Cinnamon Shore has so much potential to provide an exceptional vacation experience, and I hope management continues investing in the operational side of the resort to match the beauty of the property itself.
