My previous name is Bradshaw and I had unclaimed property listed on the Texas State Auditor website. Next to my name was Bradshaw's Auto Body for over $3,000 in unclaimed money. I thought that since I had no idea about this site until my friend told me about it, that it's very possible that Bradshaw's Auto Body has no idea they have unclaimed money in Texas so I am going to call them AS A COURTESY...paying it forward. The first horrible woman hung up on me after being so horribly rude. When I first called she BIT MY HEAD OFF when I asked if I could speak with the owner. She said "Can a woman not be an owner of a body shop???". WHO SAYS THAT? Understanding that they probably thought it was a scam...I decided to call back and beg them to at least hear me out. This time the owner answered and she wouldn't even listen. She couldn't even give me 2 minutes of her time. She was just as horrifically awful as the first. I honestly couldn't believe how evil they both were to me. I am a Paramedic and doing nice things like this helps me decompress and escape from the horrid that I experience. SHAME ON THEM! I honestly don't care one bit if they claim their money from Texas... but based on how they treat people, I am sure business is awful and I would expect they could use the money. They kept my car for about a week, and during that time I had to spend a significant amount of money on Ubers and Lyfts because I had no vehicle. I was repeatedly told they were waiting on a part that hadn't arrived. Eventually, they called to say my car was finished. I paid approximately $2,000 and was waiting for them to bring my car around. After about 20 minutes, they came back and told me they actually needed to order another part but I could drive my car for now. The check engine light was still on. It took about another week for that part to arrive. Then I was told it would cost around another $2,000. At that point, I tried to work out some kind of solution or discount with them because of everything that happened. As of the time I'm writing this review, I have not received a response despite attempts to follow up. What disappointed me most was the communication throughout the process. Being told my car was finished, paying for the repair, and then finding out more repair parts were needed. Combined with the delays, additional transportation costs, and the lack of follow-up afterward, this was not the level of service I expected. This review reflects my personal experience. I hope the shop is able to improve its communication and customer service going forward.
