Ok, so here's my issue. I'm vegan so the only option I have is the impossible sausage. The classic breakfast comes with sausage, egg and cheese. So naturally I just have it with the impossible sausage. They will charge you the same as if it had the egg and cheese, yet I asked for butter on my English muffin and she said that's extra. What!! I don't even know what to say about this. So they get to keep the $$ from the egg and cheese I didn't order, but yet if you want something extra they will charge you. That is just so wrong and the girl behind the counter was just clueless, they have her taking orders from the drive through at the same time as customers at the counter. Port City Java, do better for your customers. read more

The egg, cheese and bacon frittata's were .50 sized, not as pictured and cost $6 via DoorDash pickup order. They were $5 on the menu, but I figured ordering ahead convenience would be worth it. It wasn't. I don't recommend this item until PCJ starts selling a better quality frittata. read more

I like this location. It is a few doors down from my nail salon (GDN Nails), so I'll often stop in to get a coffee after I get my nails done. I'll usually get an Americano. I like having strong Americanos, and I find that the PCJ Americanos tend to be weak because they use a lot of crushed ice. The drink still tasted good, though. They also have a build-your-own breakfast sandwich option. I usually get a croissant with egg and cheese. They don't mind if you hang out for long periods of time or have meetings. I actually had an unexpected phone job interview here and that's the job I'm in now. They have a fast-moving drive through that you can use if you don't want to loiter like me. The customer service here is good but the drive thru line is ridiculously slow. Multiple times I have sat waiting for 15 minutes or more with only 2 cars in front of me. I'm not sure if the inside is better, but something needs to be done about the drive thru. read more

My go to coffee shop in Wilmington. Their food is pretty good but coffee is soo tasty.

I go here almost everyday and order a vanilla iced coffee and a nitro cold brew for my boyfriend. The coffee is always on point and the staff is super friendly and quick at the drive thru. They are also one of the most reasonably priced coffee shops in the area! I love this place. read more

Tasted very watered down. I even asked for less ice. So much ice the coffee was almost without flavor.

I ordered a matcha freeze because it looked so great on the app, but I was super disappointed by what I got. the match freeze was colorless and mostly milk. It was like a faded green. It Didn't taste like matcha at all. I am sorry, but that's not cool to advertise such a cool drink ( very green ) and just go get a crapy colorless drink. I am sorry but not coming back. read more

For the number of people who are always in there, I would have thought there'd be more reviews for this location. This place is big and has numerous sofas to sit on. I don't drink coffee but my wife does and she likes this place's options and taste. The staff is really friendly and efficient. Forgot to return my credit card. Had to go quite a bit out of my way to return to retrieve the credit card. Couldn't give me a receiptSo I could get reimbursed. Port City Java has above and beyond coffee service and quality that will make you walk away feeling good about your caffeine addiction. The store is clean, the baristas are marvelous, and the coffee tastes as if they roast their own beans. OH WAIT, they do! How neat. Couldn't have picked a more perfect place to order my half almond, half soy, double sweet, extra hot mocha with whip and two marshmallows. (Yeh, they do that there.) read more

I used to love going to this PCJ! There used to be speedy service and great customer service! The employees are still nice, but there is always at least a 10 minute wait no matter how many people are in line. Which can be very inconvenient when you need some of that delicious PCJ coffee but you don't have the 10 minutes+ to spare. read more

I love PCJ in general but this location was very nice. Very spacious and plenty of seating. It was easy for us to meet and not feel like we were in other people's space or conversation. They even have outdoor seating. I'm looking forward to enjoying my favorite drink, the Slush n Joe at the outdoor seating in the Spring. Service was very quick and everyone was friendly. The drive thru seemed like it worked well too but I didn't personally experience it. It was also easy to park in this location unlike some of the downtown locations. We'll definitely meet here more often! read more

If you have read any of my reviews about PCJ you understand the complicated relationship I have with this local chain... it's basically hit or miss. I can't remember how I ended up at the particular location but whatever. My wife ordered a mocha freeze and I ordered a dirty chai completely forgetting to say soy since I can't do dairy. I remembered the second they called my name for pickup that I ordered wrong and returned to our table embarrassed and upset that I couldn't drink the $4 coffee drink I just bought. My wife took my drink to the counter to explain my mistake and she was wonderful. The barista quickly made me a new drink free of charge. Yes, I have a few bad experiences here over the years because of being served real milk however this time the mistake was completely my fault and it was handled seamlessly with a smile. I love this location and really appreciate the cashier/barista not making me feel even more like an idiot. read more
