Heard this was the local coffee chain to try so we stopped by after the beach for an iced vanilla latte. At first , I wasn't sure I put the right place into the GPS or turned too soon, as it looked like a residential area and didn't have the largest signage. However, it's a cute little shop not too far from the beach. The latte definitely hit the spot. They had smoothies, breakfast items (bakery and hot). Staff was friendly and establishment was clean. They have a simple set up - bar top by the window, a large community table and then about six tables for 2. One gender neutral bathroom. I'd come back for coffee. read more

Cute brunch place for coffee and delicious food! I realized the drinks can be made a little sweet however they are nice about adjusting the drink to your sweetness level. The cold brew was great. The avocado toasts were flavorful. I tried both the purple onion topping and the egg, bacon, and baby tomato toast (both were a great option cant go wrong with either choice). We stopped by drift on Memorial Day prior to going to Wrightsville beach. The space is really nice and I really liked their house made vanilla syrup. One of the better espressos I tried in the area. Will definitely stop in again if I need a place to work, relax, or a small bite in the area! read more

Went in for an iced matcha, & they used a pre-made matcha squeezed out of a squeeze bottle instead of whisking it fresh. Received the drink and found it way too sweet, so I went back in to see if I could switch out the drink. The girl behind the counter took back the matcha and charged me for a second drink. I have worked in coffee shops and this is just bad customer service. I would have given a displeased (but kind) customer the second drink on the house. The menu is short and simple- and I can't wait to try everything on the menu. I had the market bowl salad and it was amazing. My husband and I were on vacation attending the Azalea Festival and this shop was within walking distance from our hotel. It is located in a very accessible location. Walking into this cute coffee shop, I was instantly enamored by the clean yet down to earth vibe. The young lady that was at the register greeted us with a great attitude and was very knowledgeable. She was able to answer all my questions as well as make recommendations. We settled on the breakfast burrito, bodega breakfast sandwich and a vanilla rosemary latte. A very clean and modern coffee shop with good coffee and good food. I always get a cold brew and avocado toast with a sunny side up egg and it never disappoints. I always enjoy the food and coffee every trip and its always a consistent experience. I would probably rate a little higher separate of the very commercial feel and the service was mediocre. Coffee was okay. I got a red eye in a coffee cup. I love drinking out of a coffee mug. The location is good. Wasn't busy at all which surprises me that service wasn't good, well not friendly. No welcome or customer service. I would recommend going to the Starbucks near the Mayfair location. Went there next to for a comparison and Starbucks greeted me and had some customer service. This is my favorite of the Drifts because of its location. It is out of the way, but easily accessible on Eastwood. They have their kitchen offerings which are nice: I had an acai bowl but I love their avocado toast, too! The coffee is solid, and they have some of my favorite chai in town. Only thing that takes away from it is the price. I understand why it's priced as it is, but it still seems to be on the steep side. From the food, to the atmosphere, to the exceptional service, this has been one of the best breakfast experiences I've had in a long time. Super clean and cute location with healthy and affordable breakfast options and very fresh coffee. My son got a muffin from the bakery case and a green smoothie and not a bit was left behind. We enjoyed all the food. My husband got a breakfast burrito without the sausage. It was nice and crunchy on the outside with excellent flavor and a side salad. We arrived in a group of five, when we arrived we were able to look at the menu posted there and the staff was attentive asking if we had any questions. We were able to order promptly after entering. There was a good mixture of seating as well as outdoor seating. Right as we sat down our drinks were ready, we were able to start drinking our drinks and chat for just a few minutes before our food came out. Everyone was very satisfied with their food. I ordered the Crispy Potato Brekkie and it was delicious! Very filling but not heavy at all. The portion was very good for the price too, the tomato aioli was definitely the standout and was so delicious. These guys have the best coffee in town and have some interesting options for what they call Holistic drinks. Their beet latte is not overly sweet, which was a nice change from most commercially available beet powders. The star of the show is their breakfast bowl. Their garlicky greens are perfect. Even the tomato was awesome. I've also had their açaí bowl (less sweet than most, not particularly remarkable but tasty) and the avocado toast (dukkah was just roughly chopped nuts without the texture I'm used to, but also good. Add an egg!). I'd grab an oat milk mocha and a breakfast bowl every day if I lived here. Slightly inconvenient location, but absolutely worth it. read more

Drift was a great choice for a healthy breakfast and good coffee while knocking out a little work near Wrightsville Beach. To drink, I ordered a Magic which is like a cortado and very delicious. To eat, I got the acai bowl made with almond milk, banana, housemade granola, coconut, and honey. It wasn't super fruity like some acai bowls can be. Overall, I really enjoyed it and left stuffed for hours! There's plenty of seating both inside and out. The inside is pretty buzzy, so when I needed to make a call, I hopped outside. There are even outdoor outlets which was a nice surprise. The workers were friendly and the food came out fast. I would totally make this a go-to spot if I lived in the area.
