It doesn't matter how many are behind the counter. Leah the "manager" is rude and will make you wait while she counts cigarettes. Never an "I'm sorry for the wait." Or "Just one second while I finish these up". I have frequented many Stewart's around and this one is by far the worst. You never wait in Fort Ann or any of the others on the way to Lake George.

Then stop at Maplefields, yeah the prices are the same as every other gas station in town but the restrooms are clean, they have spacious seating, free Wi-Fi and an in store Amato's for food. You also have access at a small fee these days to showers if you are on a long haul trucking assignment. As gas stations go this is a very very nice one.

Some of the highlights: -Their finest culinary specimen was the Italian Supreme, a gas station sandwich so full of personality that our college suite created a Facebook profile for it which had more friends than any of us (that may not be saying a lot). Ladies beware. -They stayed open real late and opened early, so even when their beer cooler locked up at midnight (blue laws), you could always wait it out till 6 the next morning. Well worth the wait, since you would also arrive in time to indulge in a McDonald's McGriddle next door. [The McGriddle is a breakfast sandwich where the 'bread' is composed of pancakes, literally injected with synthesized butter and maple syrup.] -Trips to this place among people I knew resulted in at least one DUI, my car transmission almost being destroyed when Kevin threw my car into reverse along Rt. 7, and Ethan getting banned for trying to start a fistfight there, then re-banned and almost arrested for showing up again...or so the story goes.
