I went to a new moon event on April 27, 2025. It was an amazing experience. Not only was the staff, friendly and knowledgeable, but you can tell that they love their job and they do care. I've been here one time before in the salt cave itself, and that in and of itself was an amazing experience. Very lovely place! I go for the salt cave and shop, they have cute crystals to purchase, and the cave is amazing and very calming. A great place to go on a spiritual journey! My only gripe is the cave's sound is very low, I have terrible hearing so I can't hear it as well, but it is what it is. I will say, the owner is allergic to cats! So pets are not allowed, my friend is a crazy cat lady and she always gets mad that she can't bring her cat. But understand there's a reason for it! 5***** recommend! read more

This was my 2nd visit to the Port Jeff Salt Cave. Was disappointed that my meditative state was disrupted by vacuuming and loud talking going on in the boutique area. So thankful for this place. Every time I visit I feel centered and relaxed. The salt cave itself is magnificent. Quaint room with a beautiful moonscape on the ceiling with tiny lights that go in and out. There is about 10 anti gravity chairs and blankets. Something that I love which I think sets them apart from other salt caves is the option for guided meditation. There are a few different options to choose from and I have done the Arc Angels and the Chakra Aligning. It is so relaxing and it keeps your mind working while you are relaxing. I had my Bachelorette Party here a couple of years ago, and it was the most amazing and refreshing experience! During our private party, we enjoyed chair massages and tried out some beautiful crystal ear seeds, snacked on Mediterranean cuisine and sipped champagne, and then eventually made our way into the stunning cave for an unforgettable 45-minute guided meditation with Marcy. Speaking of Marcy, from supplying us with adorable pink toasting flutes, to running back to the restaurant we ordered our food from to pick up extra utensils, to providing an overall level of service that you just don't find too often on the Island, she and her husband were the most warm, accommodating and kind hosts I've ever worked with! They made our evening all the more inclusive and special. The whole experience was truly one of a kind. Because I moved to the city shortly after the wedding, it had been a while since I'd returned to the Salt Cave -- but when I wrote in to book an appointment for my mother, mother-in-law, sister, and myself to celebrate my birthday there this year, Marcy remembered me and replied with the sweetest message! My most recent visit was just as wonderful as the first (there's nothing quite like a guided meditation with Marcy!), and I was so thrilled to see how the space has evolved to offer even more luxurious products and services. My mother-in-law, who enjoyed her first visit, was surprised by how notably clear her sinuses became after the session, and my sister, who has Tourette's Syndrome, did not tic once during the meditation. He said it was there mistake and I could go in at 11. I said no, I want to go in at 10. It is 1002. He never apologized, was very condescending. And said what would like me to do? I walked out. Tried out the salt cave with my girlfriend. Editing my post to account for the comments below. Pros: The staff was very accommodating with reservations. The room itself was gorgeous and the temperature was perfect. It was very small though. Cons: The experience was extremely sub par. First and foremost, the room seats 10 people, and if you happen to book an appointment with complete strangers, you all will be sitting in that room together. The salt can cleanse mucus, so you can have 10 people coughing in a small room, which is annoying even if you don't get sick. Who knows what else what challengers your new strangers will provide. Snoring? Talking? Crying children? Sorry, you just paid 40 bucks to be annoyed. Apparently you can rent out the whole room, which I'm sure could cost up to 400 dollars for a 45 minute session for 2. Second, the room is near the front of the store, so meditation is not an option, particularly if you have a bunch of chatty Cathys sitting in front waiting for their appointment. Basically I listened to older women laugh and joke for 45 minutes. Ruined the entire experience. There is no response the owner can provide that can fix that. I should have walked out when I couldn't even hear the recording anymore because the ladies were so loud. Verdict: not worth 40 bucks read more

Let me start off by saying that I have visited other salt caves so I know what it is all about. I LOVE the benefits. I was thinking about trying this place but when I saw that DOGS are allowed and my mind was made up. I called to make sure I was seeing it correctly and yes, dogs are allowed. I will NEVER go here. I am allergic to dogs and think that this is ludicrous!!!! The idea of a salt cave is to reduce allergens and by putting an animal in there brings more allergens. Also, dogs can't be controlled. What would happen if they squat and urinate? What would happen if the animal had to poop? And what about for someone like me? Allergic to dogs. All kinds. And NO there is no such thing as a hypoallergenic dog! I go to my current place at least 3 times a week. This place could have gained a good client but they decided to do something stupid like allow dogs. Dogs belong at home. Sorry, not sorry. NEVER coming! * * * UPDATE: Marcy, that is NOT what I was told on the phone. I was told that dogs are allowed. I don't think you understand the severity of an allergy. I can not be around anyplace that a dog has sniffed around, sat on or possibly licked. It is a bigger problem than you know. On top of that, I don't know anyone who would be happy with going to a place to alleviate health issues and be willing to share it with a dog. You didn't address the urination part or the poop part because clearly you know it is very possible and in that case VERY unsanitary. Oh and, Yelp doesn't have strict rules that say that you had to have visited the actual establishment. The experience starts with the phone conversation. This phone conversation didn't go so well for your staff or you. In fact, I think you should be embarrassed of the way it was handled. I use Yelp very often, it is used for someone to determine if they'd like to visit. If it has good reviews I visit, if they are bad I quickly move on to the next place. Simple. My go-to place when suffering with a sinus/respiratory issue. After suffering with a sinus infection and a 3 month cough that was apparently 'untreatable', I gave the salt cave a try. Within one hour, I had my voice back. By the second session, I was able to take a deep breath without a hacking, painful cough. And by the third session, the salt cave had done what 3 months of medical care was unable to do. I was all better! Marcy and the entire staff at the Port Jeff Salt Cave showed such concern and compassion. They made sure I was comfortable and did what was necessary to make the experience successful and helpful. My first time in a salt cave. I went on a Saturday afternoon with my friend. It was an amazing experience. When you walk in you are greeted by friendly and helpful staff. They give two crystals that you hold in each hand the whole time you are in the salt cave. The crystal each have healing properties. You take your shoes off and go into the salt cave. The floor is covered in pink crystals. the room is made up of Himalayan salt and large and small Himalayan salt lamps all around. The ceiling is twinkling like the sky. The dim light from the salt lamps and twinkling ceiling is so calming. The salt has many health benefits. The air is so clean. There are gravity lawn chairs that recline and blankets. You recline and get comfy. The owner came in and explained what to expect from the session and the breathing technique we should do to get the most benefit from the Himalayan salt. The session is 45 minutes guided meditation. I can't say enough how great this experience was. I loved it. I can't wait to return. read more

I just had the worst experience with a Living Social Voucher purchase. The owners husband was a condescending individual clearly not focused on customer service and making a customer happy. The voucher "fine print" was very confusing and he was unwilling to work with me after he indicated he had several people call with issues understanding the confusing fine print. I had spent a great deal of money previously at this establishment where I rented out the entire cave for my wife's birthday and expected they would be more customer service oriented.
