Whenever we have a taste for authentic Italian cooking not made by the In-laws D'Angelo's is our go to place. In the 15 + years that we have either dined or purchased takeout we have NEVER had a bad meal! I do not understand some of the other reviews on Yelp. The good people at D'Angelo's take great pride in every meal they prepare. The food is always delicious, hot, and enough extra for leftovers for the next day. D'Angelo's always brings a warm smile to my face and that satisfaction you get when you've eaten a fantastic meal. I'm going to end up with a bald head from scratching so much!!! I don't get it. Bummed it took me this long to try the place!…read more Tucked into the corner of a small strip plaza it's easy to overlook this restaurant and I sure did for far too long. We finally went this past Sunday for Father's Day and had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. Service was excellent; very attentive and helpful wait staff and the place was very clean and welcoming. Food was outstanding; we started with a couple of their garlic cheese breadsticks and coupled with their fresh table bread we almost got filled up before the mains arrived. Next up, salads which were also fresh and paired with their house Italian dressing, outstanding, and we needed more of the fresh bread (had three hungry young men with us). Last up our entrees and we had a little of everything and it is all yummy. Wife had a Cobb salad that looked excellent and was. One son had the pasta with meatballs plus a cauliflower crust pizza, another son had a regular pizza with pepperoni, onions and sausage, our friend had the chicken parm and I had the veal parm. My veal was incredibly tender and delicious (waitress recommendation btw) and not much was left on the table. Four soft drinks, one very full pour old fashion (for me), two appetizers and six entrees and the total bill was $197 which was a hell of a good deal for the dinner we were served. Trust me, we won't wait long to come back. Fantastic restaurant!

I picked the mushroom ravioli since I love mushrooms, I feel it was not very flavorful. Even the fettuccine was bland to me. The Italian wedding soup was good at least. The server was extremely kind. It was a tad busy when there. I likely would not go back but I also live in Lakewood so I can find similar food closer.

We ordered several cheese boards and a chocolate board to snack on while sipping, and they were absolutely beautiful and delicious (so good we took leftovers home!). The atmosphere was classy, clean, and incredibly relaxing; perfect for our special celebration. I worked with Rissa regarding our reservation and decorations, and she truly went above and beyond my expectations. Every woman in our group, especially the bride, was extremely impressed and satisfied. I would absolutely recommend Lagos and can't wait to come back to try their dinner offerings!!!

I had a table in the corner and got settled in with a book and ordered a Hugo Spritz. The cocktail was refreshing and light, and I really enjoyed it. I decided on a Cesar Salad, nothing too special there, but it was a generous size and fresh greens. I ordered a bowl of mussles, again, generous sized portion, and I liked that they had 2 preparations - garlic and white wine (always a good choice) or Diablo, and I went with the spicy tomato! The sauce was great, kind of spicy, with good crusty bread to dunk. The mussels themselves were OK, not the best quality seafood I've ever had, but still a nice dinner. And I also had the fried ravioli, which I cannot resist, ever, and dunked it in the spicy sauce. The house bread was a really nice foicaccia, with a confit garlic and butter to smear all over it. Really great. The service was excellent! She was knowledgeable about the menu, attentive, and also great at timing, kind of letting me hang out and enjoy my dinner. I'd probably go back to try some other fun menu items, and their chocolate and cocktail (and chocolate cocktail) menu is intriguing.

We had the pepperoni rolls which were delicious especially with the red sauce they served with it. Their fresh bread was good. My wife really enjoyed the pepperoni salad. I thought it was good but the banana peppers tasted pickled which i didn't care for. We had the Bianca pizza, which was a flatbread not round and it had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. This was the only downside. We did see almost everyone else get the spaghetti and meatballs. Service was great and we were well taken care of.

We arrived five minutes early but were promptly seated. Our sever was adequate but not real personable. After being seated we were moved to another table but that is fine. Our food arrived within fifteen minutes which is quick in my opinion. I ordered Eggplant Parmesan with Penne pasta. We started with bread and dipping oil. The bread was soft and not made in house and the oil was good. The eggplant was crispy, warm and good although a little soggy in the middle. The pasta was warm at best and there was some dried sauce on top. The pasta was done but needed more sauce. All in all it was just okay. My wife ordered Boston Scrod and said it was as cold and had some seasoning on it. She added it did not have a lot of taste. The pasta that she ordered with the Scrod was cold. The other couple we were with received a sausage Stromboli which was not the original version they ordered. The restaurant just opened so they may be working out their processes, I don't know.
