So I paid the $212 a night as all the other same level hotels were around the same price. I checked with the front desk on Saturday morning at 9:30am to make sure that we had the room turned over (clean sheets, towels, etc) and when I came back to the room at 3:30 in the afternoon, the room was not clean. I stopped at the desk to ask why and was told that 4 housekeepers had called off AFTER I'd talked to them. They told their housekeeping staff to only clean the rooms that people checked out of and then to go home. Only offered me 1k points, which doesn't do much for me as I don't travel often, so at that point, I asked for manager's email. Emailed the manager Melissa who promptly offered me the same points and no monetary compensation. I called IHG directly who essentially said they couldn't do anything since locations are franchised and they don't process payments. I emailed Melissa back again and pushed for compensation, but my email was ignored. This is not how you run a business or get people to return. For almost $500 for 2 nights w tax, I expect better.
