These are common issues that can prevent a vehicle from passing a California smog inspection, even when there are no mechanical problems. Instead, my vehicle information was entered, the test was performed within minutes, and I was charged approximately $70 without receiving a certification. Only after the failed test was I told that the car should have been checked first and that I needed to drive it more before returning. I was then offered a discount on a second test. Under California's Smog Check Program, consumers pay for the inspection itself, not a guaranteed passing result. However, I believe customers should be informed when a vehicle may not be ready for testing before being charged for a full inspection. While the charge may have been technically permissible, charging a customer for a test that could have been avoided with a simple pre-check feels unfair and poor customer service. I would encourage others to ask for a readiness monitor scan before agreeing to a smog test. Fast but not honest. If service correctly everything could have been avoided. Or admit your mistake and not charge for 5mins of "work"

I slowly drove into Lee's and asked the gentleman if he can put air in my tire and he checked it out and said that this tire is unfixable but they were able to put on my spare tire and recommended me a tire place 4 miles away. I was in and out of Lee's with-in 15mins and they only charged me $20 dollar to place my spare on. I promised them I will be returning for all my car needs since I literally work down the block from them. They do great work and their prices are reasonable.
