Jack immediately greeted me, told me it would be about 15 minutes, and invited me to wait inside while I paid my DMV registration online. The office is currently being updated, but it was clean, smelled fresh, and had plenty of seating. By the time I finished my registration, my car was already being prepared for service. Jack has been in business since the 1980s and at this location for the last 10 years, and you can tell he knows his stuff. He was friendly, funny, and easy to talk to. Yelp sent my request to five smog shops, and Jack was the first to respond and had the best pricing. He even took the time to explain what a "Star certified smog" meant when another shop said they weren't. Quick, stress-free, and great customer service. I asked to come in on a Saturday which he agreed to but I later needed to come in on Friday instead. It wasn't an issue at all. I drove over during a late lunch break and I was met with warmness and a lot of humor. Jack was very friendly, personable and while he was helping another customer, he let me know I could wait in the office and he would be with me shortly. The service took maybe 5-7 minutes and I was out of there in 10-15mins. As Jack was handing me my paperwork, he mentioned that the smog certification was already on its way to the DMV. First, I want to be fair and acknowledge that the staff was always friendly and professional. In particular, Kyle was courteous, responsive, and easy to work with throughout the process. Alex was very helpful and provided the requested transportation. Mike was friendly and welcoming as well. I genuinely appreciate the customer service I received from the staff. However, I brought my 2016 Tesla Model X in for suspension work and paid approximately $3,200. Prior to authorizing the repairs, Kyle and I test drove the vehicle together, and the loud popping/clunking noise that exists today was not present during that drive. After the lower suspension work was completed, I was informed that the upper control arms would also need to be replaced at an additional cost of approximately $1,300 because there was still noise present. At that time, I thought he was talking about the minor squeaky noise that we discussed in the morning, and I was planning to return next week to replace the upper control arms. However, once I drove the vehicle away, I immediately noticed a new and significantly louder popping/clunking noise when turning the steering wheel. This noise was not present before the repairs were performed. I understand that additional worn components can sometimes be discovered during a repair, but from my perspective, it is difficult to understand why the upper control arms are now being identified as the cause when this particular noise did not exist before the lower suspension work was completed. As a customer, I brought in a vehicle without this issue and left with a new problem that was never there before. To make matters worse, the vehicle's alignment still does not feel correct after the repairs. The steering wheel is still slightly off like it was never adjusted, and overall driving feel are not what I expected after spending over $3,000 on suspension work. What frustrates me most is that I spent thousands of dollars and left with less confidence in my vehicle than when I brought it in. Spending over that amount of money, should result in a vehicle that drives better, not one with new concerns and unresolved issues. While I appreciate Kyle, Alex, Mike, and the professionalism of the staff, I cannot recommend this shop based on my experience and will not be returning.

Me not knowing anything about cars I immediately agreed and added that on to the service. I learned later on that those two services were not even necessary and were only offered to upsell gullible customers like me. Even as I look at the report they didnt even detail the status of my fluids which most car places typically do during an oil change. $523 wasted. I requested a brake inspection, which was really quick, turned out I had to get my rear brakes changed. They offered to do it the same day for a very reasonable price and less than 3 hours later, my car was ready. Joe has worked on my car for small items like brakes and oil changes all the way up to getting some check engine light issues fixed. Pricing is always great. Brought my car here for a diagnostic thinking the issue was one thing only to find out "no, you don't need that," and saved me a bunch of money I would have likely spent elsewhere. He didn't push me to fix anything that didn't need fixing and pointed out a few things that were old that I might want replaced so I just took all his suggestions because it's a very old car and it needed some extra care. I went in for transmission fluid change earlier in February in my Toyota Camry 2018. I bought OEM Toyota transmission fluid and asked Joe to help do drain and fill.The drain and fill was completed. After that there was a rough driving issues started. I went back to show my car to joe and he drove the car he told me he don't see any issues. I wanted him to check transmission fluid port on if there is low transmission fluid he didn't agree and told me I might be overthinking. I went to different mechanic in April and he checked. I paid $100 to reopen the port for transmission fluid and what we saw was no fluid came out from the primary port. He added 0.5 quarters left. The issues I have had for rough idle and need to have higher RPM on slope went away completely.According to him you have to keep the car running when you drain the fluid and you need to have it at the right temperature he said the drain and fill wasn't done correctly that's why there was still room for fluid. The viscosity of the fluid makes a difference in how much you can fill and drain. He double checked for leakage and there were no leaks either. When I went to joe and asked about don't you have to keep car warm to see if temperature is right? He said you only do it when there is a leak. I don't think Joe knew enough about mechanics of New car. I wasn't overthinking when I went to ask Joe for help and asked to recheck the transmission fluid. I paid $260 for labor only( $160 to Joe and $100 to another mechanic) for same job. It's really absurd. Overall this could have damaged my transmission. I think for future the customer advise should be taken seriously. I know my car well so I know when it's not acting good. I have been driving it from 10 years.
