On Match 29th someone from Portrait Innovations commented on my review and requested that I email to maybe work something out. I emailed her on March 29th it is now May 7th, I have not received a had a response. I guess this is just another example of portrait innovation terribly horrendous costumer Service. I have since been in contact with a representative from portrait from portrait innovations. I was advised that the policy of a set number of shots in order to see your photos has been changed, which was wonderful to hear. The representative also offered me a $15 gift card in hopes that I would give portrait innovations a second chance. I have decided to pass on the offer. We arrived on time & we were told they are running an hour in a half behind. We have toddlers who were fed and ready to take pictures and there was no notice that they were running behind at all. No call, nothing. I literally paid a good amount of money for a professional make up artist to do my make up or else I would've walked away. To add insult to this terrible beginning, our photographer was a 19 year old who simply wanted to meet her number of 60 pictures taken & made no effort in coordinating a good family photo. We hated every picture & settled for one which we confirmed we hated. We were very disappointed in the service & overall experience. Poor customer service, poor time management, straight disaster. I just got custody of my four grandkids. We had no professional pictures of them and made the appointment. We arrived and everything went smoothly. We did not have to wait. The pictures were fabulous. I loved them and bought the 15 pose pack. After taking them home, 2 days later I lost my house to a fire. Stay away from this place like it's the plague! I have never taken my kids to a portrait "studio" before as I prefer outdoor photo shoots, but being the coupon guru that I am, I wanted to take advantage of their $15 deal for Christmas cards and a few sheets of photos. Myself, husband, and three children under age 5 arrived 15 minutes prior to our appointment and were told to wait in the waiting area for our photographer to be ready for us. The place was so slammed that there wasn't anywhere to sit, so the five of us ended up on the floor, which is when I noticed that all of the employees were running around without their shoes on. I'm sorry, but when is this ever acceptable? We were finally taken into one of their "rooms" which is a three walled room so that everyone waiting for their photos can see you. I told them I didn't want any of the cheesy fake fire place or Christmas tree backgrounds, but just wanted something simple. Apparently this was a hard task because we ended up with about 10 good photos total, and 7 of those were just of one of my children. As soon as we were done, I had my husband take the kids next door to Ihop for some ice cream for being such good sports, and I was stuck to deal with the pushy salesperson. I did end up liking 10 out of the 20 photos (give or take), so of course I ended up spending more money than I had anticipated. Here's the kicker: After waiting for our appointment, having our photos done, and waiting for them to print our photos, we were there for just under FOUR HOURS. On top of that, I paid for a CD of our images. Upon uploading the images onto Shutterfly to use in some photo books, a message came up stating that the photos were too LOW of a resolution to blow up bigger than 4x6. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? I just paid $100 for LOW resolution photos? I'm livid! read more

The one star I'm giving is for the one young girl who helped out. I have a 4 year old. I live in Delaware. The paste 3 Christmas's I got her photos done at the location local to me. They're awesome. My sister moved local to this place a few months ago as her husband is in the navy. I traveled to visit them and get our children's photos together. I recommended them. Now I feel horrible. I expected the same sort of experience as I always got at my place as it's the same company. I WAS WRONG. I feel bad as this is my sisters first child and experience getting photos done and it sucked. We waited an hour to be sat. I understand it's busy season and we were ok despite having a 4 and 8 month old fading. Our photographer was HORRID. She had no pose ideas. Asked if my 36lb daughter could stand up and hold her 20lb cousin. Was upset she couldn't. Yelled at my daughter for looking off as she sat smiling waiting for her pic to be taken while everyone jumped and screamed for her little cousin to look in the right direction. Again, no pose idea as the whole point of them getting pics together was to GET A PIC together. The photographer was rushing and paid no attention to detail and gave me attitude every time I stepped in. I had to constantly pose my kid, fix her dress, fix her hair. I know no one is perfect and shit gets overwhelming but she had no regard. I have had my kids Christmas pics done every year since she was born. Never had these issues til today. Then, after picking the usable pics/package, my sister pics them up and the cropping ect was terrible. SEE ATTACHED PICS. Just laziness. I feel so bad for my sister. I recommended them. This location is terrible. I only attached one photo as I couldn't crop out the kids faces in the other but you can clearly see hands that were supposed to be cropped out in the pic. read more

I enjoy this location but often times the appointments feel to be scheduled too closely not allowing enough time for the reviewing of your photos. They should probably have an additional person to go over photos with you because that process is pretty rushed being as the next appointment is sitting there waiting. Also a little curtain privacy during your session would make it a more private and intimate experience. Don't really like that everyone waiting is looking in at our session. Staff is very friendly though. read more

This place is terrible! It doesn't matter what time you book your appointment for you can expect to wait well over an hour after you arrive to get started. With kids, that's never fun. The waiting are is full of cloth furniture that's all stained up and dirty. They always try to up sell the packages, which I understand, but when you indicate that you're clearly there for a one shot package and they insist on wasting more of your time to go over other packages it gets annoying. On one of my visits I had a great photographer - on the other, she honestly didn't act like she wanted to be there. What a fantastic experience we had at Portrait Innovations! We arrived on time for our appointment and within 5 minutes we started our poses with Jenell our photographer. Jenell patiently and professionally did her work and it was a pleasure to have her as our photographer. She was patient with us and expertly put us into the various poses which were often novel and fun. We chose our favorites quickly and made our order selections quickly and the photos and Christmas cards were available in a short 20 minutes. If I could give them zero stars I would. I got my pictures done there with my girls December 11th from the location in the Greenwood mall. After buying a package they gave me a blank disc that was suppose to have the whole session on it. They obviously didn't check because once I got back to my home in MONTANA I was able to put it in my laptop to find out it was blank. Calling them and they assured me that they would put my ahole session onto a new disc and send it to my home and it should be there within 3-5 days. So I'm already feeling rushed for this Christmas present and now I have to wait even longer but I say okay because I just spent almost 200 dollars for this and I was just there visiting my mother and grandparents. Then it was Christmas eve and still no disc and no one would anwser my phone calls the days before. NOW TODAY THE DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS, I called at 907am my time and speak to someone that once again is asking for the number and everything else to find my session puts me on hold and then tells me that she will give me a call back after she finds my session. It is now 300pm my time and still no call. I have now called 5 times and no one will anwser. DO NOT GO HERE! REALLY EVERYONE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY GETTING YOUR PHOTOS DONE HERE. DO NOT GO! This studio is a joke! My appointment was at 1:40 and photoshoot started at 4pm. Even though we have 2kids 1infant, photographer didn't even try to get kids attention to camera. no assistant or anyone at all. When we were checking photos, non of son's photo looked good and had glair in his glasses. Asked to retake his but photographer refused. Asked for manager and she approved so retook some of his photo. I don't think any of photographer there is trained. Anyway after 2 hours wait photo was finally printed and found trashes on a floor in a picture. Manager photoshopped and deleted some of trashes but doesn't look great. No refund or discount or anything. paid full price and left the studio at 7:30pm. 6hours we spent. Seriously!? when we got home I popped photo data CD we purchased into my PC and it all blank. no data in it. Called manager very next day she said she was gonna send another CD right away since we don't live close enough to drive up just for CD, 5days passed but no CD arrived yet. I went in for a $19.99 portrait package. I was told additonal poses were $20. The photographer Chynna D. apparently lied to me about this. I knew the total had jumped from what she had told me, but after waiting for 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time on a weekday, and sorting through over 60 poses, I was done for the day. Truthfully, I think Chynna was as well. She forgot to include our photo props we brought in on several poses, only giving us very limited poses to actually choose from. The pictures were not of great quality and for Halloween, we had a plain white background used. Chynna was not knowledgeable and acted out of it while doing photo selections. I asked what was included in the Halloween package and she goes, "Wait, what...I'm sorry what are you talking about? (laughs)" Same exact response when I asked about putting borders on the photos. The really rude woman was Haley, however. She told me she was the manager of this location! Let me tell you, if I could curse, a B word definitely comes to mind with this snippy one. I politely informed her that it looked like I was overcharged for my package, as I was quoted $20 for an additonal pose but charged $68.74 for 2 additional poses. She answers me in a robotic answer, "the prices are on the screen." Well, I'm busy looking at the photos, and I trusted my photographer Chynna, to have quoted me accurate pricing. Otherwise, I would not have been interested in additonal poses. Haley continued to speak over me, stare at me with disgust and exhibit the worst display of customer service I have encountered...even for this lackluster studio. Haley, the manager, informed me there was absolutely no refunds here, regardless of wrong pricing. I was not trying to have a refund, but a price adjustment, only due to Chynna's error. Chynna denied everything to the manager as well, come on, you know you messed up! It is so sad when there are good people ready to work, but places like thus hire seedy, unprofessional employees. By the way, Chynna has extremely short hair and typically wears oversized sweaters in the occasions I have Sen her the last two days. She didn't actually introduce herself with her name, I found out only from the receipt. After 10 minutes of horrible responses from the rude Haley, at 9:30am on a Friday, I finally asked if they could just correct the pose sizes. Chynna herself picked out my additional pose sizes and told me, it was too late once she had done it. That was just another mistake Chynna made. Quite frankly, I should have not even been charged for the additional poses until she could figure out how to go back and enter the sizes. Haley told me that because it was 7:30p, that is why Chynna didn't have time to go back and allow me, the customer, to choose the sizes that I am being charged $68.74 for. I have now sat in Portrait Innovations being absolutely ignored by the manager for 27 minutes. It's on camera, assuming they have security in this place...I am literally sitting here. All she had to do was print the photo size I asked for, since she adamantly refused to adjust the picture sizes, that I never got to choose. She told me they were busy, well there is 2 customers and plenty, plenty of time in between to make this right. I drove clear over here, on my 1 day off all week to be treated like this. I have never liked this portrait studio. I have never thought their photo quality was great. I have never been enthusiastic about the customer service. Like many others, the advertised special prices is the only reason I returned. But those are simply not worth the low quality of pictures and horrible customer service. I am beyond disapointed with both the photographer, Chynna, but very much, the manager. In sitting at this studio, another employee came in. She aplogized to me for the miscommunication. She immediately printed off a different size for me, that I selected. She admitted that the prices for additonal poses have recently changed, just this past Tuesday. In my mind, it is very possible that Chynna simply mistated the price to me. Whether or not the actual price showed on the screen, I can't be certain of but I highly recommend you review the prices very much..no matter how exhausted you feel here, because there are no refunds. The manager was Jenelle and she informed me that Haley is the manager "on duty", only when she is not available. Jenelle's approach was much different then Haley, who embarrassed me for asking questions. I am not rich, I'm just a hard working parent, so I don't believe in just blowing money and certainly didn't appreciate being mistreated, at first. I may ask specifically for Jenelle if I was to return here, and just call in for the appointment...not use the online appointment request. read more

Both ladies were extremely pleasant and professional. Taylor provided a caring jovial atmosphere for my two youngsters, along with Carlee attentive to my needs as a parent. Keep rockin' ladies! However, my concern is with continuity of products provided. CD policy along with coupon were different than in Las Vegas for 5 yrs. Charles needs to be more personable and smile. And the other lady with braids the same (over the phone, not so friendly). Overall, I would go back only if Taylor and Carlee were there to service my family. If not, Greenville here we come. Was very disappointed! Our pics were awful and the photographer was rude. My son wears glasses and there was a glare so bad you could hardly see his eyeballs. When you take my kids glasses of they he has an eye that crosses really bad so what do I choose glare or cross eyed??!?!?! They also offer a military discount on all packages but when I offered my $50 gift certificate on my $70 purchase all of a sudden no military discount, I was not eligible. After the photographer checked me out and I was waiting for my pics I went back up and asked about the military discount and they told me I was most certainly eligible and they said maybe the photographer was confused? I have been going to this location for family pictures and even though they are ALWAYS overbooked and running behind the experience has been good and I've been pleased with my portraits. I was very disappointed with my last visit. My studio visit was typical, behind schedule and running late but we got good photos. When I got home I noticed that in my featured photo was overly cropped cutting off part of my daughter and me in the 8x10 and 10x13 prints. I called the store and they said bring the photos and CD for reprints, no problem. I went to the store Sat and was told to try back again tomorrow or when they are not so busy. Excuse me! I get you are busy, it's holiday season and like me...everyone is trying to get holiday pictures taken. I don't appreciate being treated as a less important customer because you already got my money. I will have to make another trip to the store for reprints. Important message for other customers- carefully check your photos over before leaving the store. read more

I usually don't do reviews (even if it is a bad experience like this was), but I am hoping that others will read this before wasting their time and money. I have waited a while before reviewing to gather my thoughts and try to cool down. We had photos done during the holidays when our whole family was in. This was the first time in years that we were all together and now I wish I would have gotten a private REAL professional photographer. This place is far from professional in terms of pictures. The so called photographer rushed us through the pics that in turn, turned out less than mediocre. She didn't direct at all and kept the same kind of poses throughout. One of our family members chin was too high in all the pics and she didn't even notice that. We took about 10 poses within 10 minutes. The nightmare didn't end there though. The next step was to select the pictures. The girl doing that was rude as heck. I simply asked for what specials they had going on and she snapped back with "you will have to wait until we get to that point". We were rushed through this process also. When deciding what to do, she made us feel like we were wasting her time. We had to get an overrated and overpriced package with pics that weren't good, just to get a CD to share with others. Close to $300 wasted on crappy photos that in turn we couldn't take with us that day. The printer was down and they didn't know for how long. We did get to take the CD with us that day, only to find out they put no pics on it. We took it back before they closed that day and got a new one made. They said the first CD was defected, but who knows if that was the truth or the girl selling didn't do her job right. No call for 2 weeks after to say the pics were ready to be picked up. I had to call and ask. I didn't look at them when I picked them up until I got home. When I did get a chance to look, I realized they had messed up one of the collages that was specifically asked for. It was correct on our CD, but not in the printed pics. Not only was that wrong, but a few of the other pictures had some residue on them that looked like smudged dirt. Just when I was hoping to be done with these people, I had to turn around and go back. They reprinted it while I waited, but I shouldn't of had to go back in the first place. My mom and sister begged me to complain to the company about our experience, but that wouldn't of changed the outcome of wasting money and crappy pics. Who are we kidding anyways!?! This place is just awful! I brought my one year old here because they work with children( so they said). My child was fine til the photographer starting snapping photos. She starting crying for a little while, finally calmed down. The photographer had no patience and could here them outside talking about how awful my child is. I grabbed my child and walked out. I don't know if I just walked in on a good day, if the studio has done some changes since some of the negative reviews were written, or what. I had a fantastic experience. We went to get portraits of my 1-year-old for her birthday. We made an appointment, and didn't have to wait at all. Of course we went on a weekday, and it was not during the holidays. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of my photographer, but she was great with my 1-year-old and got over 60 excellent shots. Michael, who went through the selection/sales process with us, was truly fantastic. He was so patient and took the time to make sure I got what I wanted without feeling rushed into an expensive package. Sometimes you can get home from these kinds of places and feel like you didn't really get what you wanted because you were forced to make a decision so fast. We will definitely be back. A couple of notes (and the reason I didn't give them 5 stars despite their fantastic customer service): 1) This is not the place to go if you really want high resolution digital copies. I know that's what most of us want these days, but the packages that include full resolution digital images are very, very expensive. But you can see/download/share your digital shots in a low resolution (not suitable for printing, but plenty acceptable for facebook, cellphone backgrounds, etc) online through the account or app you get. 2) They have a sales process. Many of the negative reviews mention this, but if you go into the experience expecting this, you'll have a lot better time. Just keep reducing the selected poses and you'll get yourself down to something more manageable. I got plenty of prints (including 6 poses) and a 16x20 canvas for $100. DO. NOT. DO IT!!! This is by far one of the worst portrait studios I have ever been to. The customer service or lack there of is enough to make you want to scream!! We were told to arrive early for our appointment to get everything set up. So we did. 15 minutes. It was then we saw the sea of people waiting for their own appointments!After being told to take a seat they will call me I decided to ask the other families how long they were waiting for. Too long was the only answer I got. So I asked how long before we would be seen.... This was at 10 minutes AFTER our appointment time. Two people ahead of us 20 to 30 minutes. So I figured ok well they are busy maybe it will be sooner if I'm lucky. Nope. I asked to see a price sheet for packages while I wait and was told they don't do that the photographer will go over prices after taking pictures. Really? That's should have sent me running. Also I was pretty disappointed in the lack of privacy in the TWO photo rooms they had!! Everyone could see the session and the 30+ people in the waiting area are VERY distracting to small children you are trying to work with! We were finally called back to a room after an hour and a half and by this point my 2 year old was ready to go! I was told we were going to take 60-80 shots and I could choose from those. Nope again. It was more like 30 -40. Mind you my child melted down about 3 times and even though the photographer did get her to smile for most of those pics there was little effort to try to take any more or any better shots. She was nice but obviously tired and overworked. It was very rushed and seemed like little care on their part. I then attempted to take my child home to drop her off and come back so I could review pictures without a screaming 2 year old and was asked not to and to please wait 20-30 more minutes for our turn to review pics. Really?? Now I was angry. So we wait. Again. Then when we do review pics this is where I should have realized the scam begins. They start off with all these things you get and all this pictures you like and la la la quickly clicking and adding to make your "package". I had planned on spending somewhere around 100-125 dollars. Yea. Nope again. Mind you my child is now hysterical I have my daughter take her outside so I can finish this quickly and get out of there. I am able to get it to 200 dollars without pretty much losing everything that was shown to me with the exception of a few pictures. Really? Ok fine here's my card get me out of this place! I have worked in customer service for 20 years and I have to say this is one of the worst places I have been. It is very evident that their only concern is booking as many people as possible with no regard for their time or their families just so they can try to make as much money possible. Shame. On. You. While most of my pictures turned out very nice and I was happy with some of the concessions they made for me; discount for waiting (10$) and reprinting 2 other pictures when I was not happy with 2 they did ( had to wait another hour for that) the cost of the product and the service and TROUBLE you go through to get it (10 pictures out of 30 shots taken )(not a big selection at all) and after talking to several others who have taken portraits here and other places, I will NEVER be returning.
