Beautiful scenery and good service. Food was a touch salty for my likings. Good experience, all together though. Pica-pau steak (3.5 out of 5) - steak cubes in a butter sauce with pickled cauliflower and carrots with olives. A touch salty for my taste and the beef was a bit tougher than I'm used to. Shrimp and clam rice (3 out of 5) - wish the sauce was a bit creamier or thicker? It wasn't bad, but not mind-blowing delicious.

There's actually a great view even from the window to outside right from where you order beer, and an even better view from the outside patio, but if you want the best view (or if their tasting room is full; it isn't huge), you can walk less than a block around the corner, which, because Europe isn't stupid like the US, you can do with a beer! This was at the end of our trip, but I still hadn't totally gotten used to it - they'll charge you a refundable 1 euro deposit to put your beer in a to-go plastic cup (or you can keep the cup as a souvenir for 1 euro, I suppose). Beer-wise, it looks like the sort of place where the beer list rotates pretty frequently - but when I was there, they had a pretty good variety of styles. They were also happy to let me try a few things before committing - I tried, at least in splash, a great double ipa, a pretty solid small (3%) IPA, a pretty solid pear gose, a pretty solid porter, and a wonderful semi-sweet ginger cider. Had two pints - and probably would've had more, if it hadn't already been sunset when we got here. Strongly recommended if you like good craft beer.

For now, these guys are the trailblazers. We have visited the five that we researched. This spot is a favorite! I am not sure if his official title, but Louie is a Brazilian badass in a foreign land. When you meet him, he feels like a long lost friend. Don't be shy, ask him about the beers on type and he will explain them all. Make him laugh and you will hear the love. And now on to the beers...by the time you get there the taps will have changed. Give them all a try if you can, believe me I tried. All Portuguese and all tasty. They may not be your go to but they are local, tasty, and will continue to progress. Support your local brewery...while at home or away! Much love to this establishment, thank you for your hospitality and love of craft beer. Obrigado!

Pastries de Bacalhau - the crust was not brown enough. May be longer time. The stuffing was flavorful but it's more the cod taste than the flavored mash potatoes which I prefer. I actually prefer the other local restaurant I tried the night before better. Caldo Verde - The potatoe part of the soup is great. Perfect viscosity but the flavor is not. It wasn't salty enough but more importantly is the flavor of the veggies and the spicy sausage they supposed to use that makes the soup taste different. Grilled giant pawns - The flavor of the prawns is not as intense as expected and hope to be. The squid ink pasta also lacked of flavor. That's disappointing. With the prawns, they should at least use the prawn shell to make sauce for the pastas. The pasta was tasteless, didn't even use enough garlic and olive oil to flavor it up. Seafood rice - Another disappointment. They used fish, small mussels and little bit of shrimp pieces along with some bigger whole shrimps and mussels. However, the rice was lack of the true seafood flavor that made from shell fish. They also added cilantro which overwhelmed the whatever left of seafood flavor. The lemonade was not a sweet lemonade but sour. Fyi. It's not fair we just went to another restaurant in the neighborhood and everything was so much better but people should know.
