Beautiful scenery and good service. Food was a touch salty for my likings. Good experience, all together though. Pica-pau steak (3.5 out of 5) - steak cubes in a butter sauce with pickled cauliflower and carrots with olives. A touch salty for my taste and the beef was a bit tougher than I'm used to. Shrimp and clam rice (3 out of 5) - wish the sauce was a bit creamier or thicker? It wasn't bad, but not mind-blowing delicious.

A friend had highly recommended this spot when I said I was going to Lisbon. It was conveniently…read morelocated across the street from the hotel I stayed at. We had reservations for a party of 2 on a Saturday at 6 PM. When you check in, they give you a slip of paper which has a QR code on it for you to access the menu later, and we were promptly seated upstairs. The menu is conveniently available in several languages (you select your language at the bottom of the main menu page). We were at a long table for 6, with us sitting on the inside and another couple sitting at the end, and the table settings in between us were cleared, so it didn't feel like we were on top of one another. I appreciated that the server gave recommendations that would be good for two people. We went with most of his recommendations (shrimps on garlic sauce (it's labeled as spicy, but it's really not), clams on garlic, tiger prawns grilled on bed of salt) and added some of our own (razor clams and lobster roll). All the seafood tasted fresh, bursting with flavor from the buttery garlic sauce, which we sopped up with garlic bread. The bread is brought to the table when you first get seated. It's not free, which I was aware of, but I knew it would go well with the dishes we ordered. The razor clams were juicy and sweet. The lobster roll was good, but not something I would order again when there's so many other fantastic seafood choices. I usually don't drink beer, but felt that it was appropriate since we were at a cervejaria, so I ordered a bottle of Sagres Bohemia. It went perfectly with the seafood. My SO, who doesn't drink alcohol, got peach iced tea. I wanted to get the prego sandwich for dessert, but my SO was pretty much full at that point, so I ordered a tarte whisky and a cappuccino for myself. The whisky ice cream layer in the tarte was nice and refreshing. I was shocked when we got the bill and it came out to less than 50€. This meal would have cost so much more in the US. You pay via tablet at the end and I left a generous tip in appreciation of the wonderful meal and service. They get you in and out of there quick, but it never felt like we were being rushed out. I highly recommend this spot if you are looking for some fresh, delicious seafood in Lisbon.

Two words - culture shock! This place was recommenced by our Brazilian Tuk Tuk driver. We were…read morelooking for a fish/seafood place and my compañero loves his IPA! We also wanted an authentic Portuguese place and not anything touristy. Be careful what you wish for! We took a number but were almost bypassed as they were calling higher numbers. I got the "matre d's" attention and showed him my number. He spoke no English as could be expected - not an issue! So, he bumped us up to the front of the line. We climbed a long narrow and steep staircase to reach a long narrow hallway with about 20 staff running about and squeezing by each other. Somehow, we found the dining room and our waiter greeted us offering us a choice of tables. Clientele were very well dressed and spoke in Portuguese looking very comfortable. He immediately brought us a huge basket of garlic bread! It was quite a nice atmosphere and reminiscent of an older home with high ceilings. We had trouble ordering from the phone app (as it should be because it was in Portuguese only) so our waiter guided us. No IPA and no wine except moscatel. But this was a cerveseria with no IPA! So we tried two glasses of moscatel- not our favorite as it was much too sweet. We agreed to the garlic shrimp and lazy crab. I asked what it came with and he said nothing and pointed to the garlic bread. I asked about ordering veggies and he said there were none! The crab was fridge cold but would have been better warm. The shrimp could have been tasty if not so salty. It wouldn't have been such a culture shock but it was also very pricey for what is was. I don't regret this experience as I was immersed in Portuguese culture and food. But no veggies is unthinkable! lol

Bread and fish spread including sheep cheese as a cuvée was excellent. Fish soup and grouper so delicious. Definitely place to come back. Our server was always near by and helpful.

Salt baked fish is truly not that hard to to mess up, yet my fish turned out to be very dry. At first they said the fish was under cooked when they first cracked it open, then whoever must have put it back in the over over cooked it. The filets were all messy, and shredded probably due to how dry it was.. and tough to eat, also had many bones still in it. This couple next to us also got the salt baked Fish and theirs looked better filleted. We also got the clams for our app. It was meh. Not much flavor, and very small portion for the cost! Service here was horrendous. I literally had my hand up for 10 minutes before someone came over to take the check from me. The couple next to us were even trying to help us get a waiter! I mean cmon... You want my money right? They also asked for a tip at the end of the meal... Really? Albeit, the decor of the place was nice, but the food was pretty mediocre, and the cost was way up there for bad food. Wouldn't come again.
