Booked a move from Colorado to Texas. Wish I did more research before immediately choosing this company. Pick up was fine , but I was very confused . 1) the pick up truck was a massive 18 wheeler that this company must've contracted out. Nowhere did it say "Poseidon moving" . 2) the men who helped load the trucks were from "Hidalgo movers" again nowhere did it say they were from Poseidon moving 3) once I got the keys to my apt, and spoke to my landlord about that big 18 wheeler coming by, he said absolutely not. So I informed the company the day before " hey yall can't bring that 18 wheeeler in you will have to transfer my items into a smaller moving truck" . They said they understood , however the day of the move I see the 18 wheeler at the entrance of the apartment complex blocking the entrance . It was extremely embarrassing. Then some two dudes come by in a ford truck and trailer . With plates from Alabama . Again I have no idea who they were , they didn't have any Poseidon moving logos. Furthermore they asked for water?! And I had none obviously . 4) my boxes came in smashed, and I'm somehow missing two items that I literally saw them load in the truck : my piano stand and my towel rack. I'm not sure how these items could've gotten lost if my items were never transferred out of that initial 18 wheeler. read more

Edit: the owner, Oleg Rameyev, told me he would refund me $150 for the damage that occurred during my move, then he ghosted me. It's been over 4 weeks and he has not returned a single one of my calls or emails and I haven't seen a cent of the refund. I thought I was getting a great value deal from them after shopping around at a couple movers, but I've come to learn that I really got what I paid for. My account rep Isabella H was so responsive before I booked my move, but since booking she has not answered a single one of my calls. Most of the time when I call Poseidon's general line, no one picks up the phone. The movers were supposed to give me 24-48 hours notice before they arrived, but only gave me 15 hours, which was less than my apt required, which I had told them. My driver told me he'd call in the morning to confirm he was coming, but he didn't and he ended showing up 5 hours late. When the movers did get here, they didn't have masks despite California's indoor mask mandate. My building's vet strict HOA requires masks indoors under threat of a $200 fine, and I told them this. I told the movers this and offered them clean reusable masks, but one mover continued to argue with me and refused to wear it. Eventually he agreed to use an extra shirt of his as a bandana, but every time I came downstairs he had taken it off and I had to tell him to put it on again. Worst of all many of my belongings are damaged. I have wooden barstools, and when they got here the packaging was ripped to shreds and they were loose and are now scratched and gashed. The frame to my painting I moved is cracked and chipped and will need replacement. And there is a large chip on the coat of my carbon bike. All in all, do not use Poseidon. read more

I used Poseidon for relocating my furniture while i had my floors done. The guys did a great job moving the furniture from the second floor to the first and protected everything in the process. Nico and jay made sure the same guys came back to move everything back up to the second floor even though i had to reschedule the move back in date due to flooring issues. Mohammed disassembled and reassembled my complicated fridge both to move it downstairs and move it back up which was such a relief due to the complicated nature of the fridge. My SO and I used Poseidon Moving in May 2019 for moving out of a 2 bedroom apartment. This was our first time hiring professional movers since we've always been scrappy in doing it ourselves. After our most recent move with our aging parents complaining of aches (we're so nice sparing our friends haha) we decided that our next (hopefully last for awhile) we'd hire movers. I'm glad to report our overall experience was positive with a couple hiccups. I researched other quotes online from Raimonds as well as Stair Hoppers. Poseidon's initial quote was the least expensive range at $130/hr while the others were $155 or $160/hr. I'm so glad we were not on the September 1 lease cycle as with many other people in this large college town area. They have "discount" days which are regular week days. Then for weekends and the beginning/end of the months they have the regular rates. As you get closer to the 9/1 lease date the colors shift to "Peak" and "High Peak" so plan ahead! They also offer services of packing your place up too but I'm sure that is even more expensive. Before confirming the services and the quote, Alex gave me a call to get a basic "inventory" of what we have in our rooms in terms of # of boxes and larger furniture items off the top of my head. I'm sure I missed a few from the initial conversation. However, there's an online account portal where you can go in and edit the info afterwards. I chose the arrival window of 1 - 3PM. Funny enough different from cable companies Jay, the foreman of the job called me at 11:30 AM saying they finished up early and they could head over immediately. I'm such a procrastinator so we were still in the midst of packing up a few last minute items in boxes so I requested they arrive closer to the original agreed upon window. Jay arrived with 2 other crew members. They proceeded efficiently until they hit a wall with one of the bedframes. They said one of the screws was "stripped" so they were unable to fully disassemble it without compromising the integrity of the metal frame... I was a bit skeptical since we've had no issues doing this on our own the past times and the bed has had very little use over the past few years. This issue probably burned about 30-45 minutes where all 3 team members tried different strategies and also floated the idea of having to take out the window to move the item out of the apartment (due to our extremely narrow staircase). Thankfully they figured something out, however it was not without damage! One of the bed post ornaments was completely knocked off leaving a very dangerous and sharp edges. Jay presented this to us as "...an Easter Egg" jokingly, which I don't think was the most professional manner. Anyway with the disappointment they offered us $20 reduction from the total bill. Looking through the other reviews it looks like damage for any of the jobs is not uncommon, which is unfortunate since even moving ourselves as non-professionals we've never had any damage. In terms of moving the items to the areas we wanted they got most of it right. They used many quilts and cellophane wrapping for a lot of items. They added a charge for 5 additional rolls of tape they used at $3/roll. They finished in 5 hours and 45 minutes so the total was $697 before they applied $20 damage credit and 5% credit. I just noticed that they rounded DOWN for the 5% discount of $34.85 giving us $34 instead (when it's much closer to $35) which is not great considering we also tipped them generously before checking their math. While I'm glad we avoided the full day physical labor strain by hiring Poseidon, I think if we have to move again I'd still research and price compare before committing. If I could give 0 stars I would. I have had the absolute worst experience with this company. They did not pick up my furniture within the window that they promised and then did not show the next day until several hours after the window they committed to. Then they promised my items would arrive by a certain date and when they picked up everything, they quoted a different date. I told them initially when I booked the move I would be traveling and needed my things before I left. So basically they took all my things without doing any sort of inventory of them and said the best they could do is put it in storage. The employees are fine people in terms of being respectful generally speaking but they are impossible to get ahold of and do not respond when you leave voicemail or phone messages. I've probably had to try to connect about 10 times before I can get in touch with a person. I was told by them "transparently" that they have taken on too many jobs and they are sorry this hasn't been a good experience, but that there is nothing they can do to make it right. I've had to make so many adjustments based on the terrible experience I've had and poor service of this company. I hope no one ever has to have this experience that I have had. DO NOT use Poseidon Moving. I would give them negative stars if it were possible. I booked Poseidon to move from Boston to Los Angeles due to them being a local company and I trusted them more than any of the national companies that would just broker unnamed movers to ship your things. The loading experience was good and the 3 guys who packed my stuff up were great, but that is where the good experience ends. 2 weeks after my belongings were picked up, I got a phone call at 9 pm on a Friday night that my mover had arrived to my storage unit. Except I was in Seattle on business. And had received NO NOTICE the mover was anywhere near LA in order to prep for his arrival and at least maybe give the storage facility a heads up. ZERO notice, just a call saying "Hey I'm here!" I then had to get on the phone with the storage facility the next day and spend 20 minutes arguing about getting the guy access to my storage unit. After they finally backed down, they let the guy in and he packed my stuff into the unit. He wanted my credit card # over the phone for the total remaining cost of the invoice- without me ever seeing a copy of the invoice in order to check to make sure I wasn't being charged for things I shouldn't be paying for. I went to check my storage unit when I got back to LA a few days later and to my absolute horror, this incompetent truck driver had put my 30+ boxes of belongings in the back of the unit, and covered them up floor to ceiling with my furniture so I can't access A SINGLE THING. I had been very clear on the phone with the sales person Paul Walker that I would meet the movers at the unit so I could take some of my boxes to my apartment with me, so there is no excusing this absolute joke of a packing job. What kind of person would think it logical to block boxes of everyday things with heavy furniture??? I have emailed Paul 4 times about this- my first email went unanswered for over a week, so I followed up. He claimed he had alerted his manager and this was an unacceptable level of service... and crickets ever since. I have emailed him again twice, because I should absolutely not be held accountable for spending my own money out of pocket to replace things I already own (socks, underwear, literally all of my clothes, sneakers for the gym, all of my other shoes, makeup, OTC medications, expensive hair tools, LITERALLY every single thing I own except what I could fit in 2 carry on suitcases. ) I should note that for all I know, I have missing boxes and broken things, but unfortunately I have know way of knowing that information unless I spend hundreds of dollars out of my own pocket to hire someone to correctly pack my storage unit. Save yourself an immense headache and look elsewhere - not sure if the positive reviews here are fake, or if they just assigned me their worst team, but this was the most unprofessional service (not just among movers - any service, period.) that I've experienced in a very long time. 1. Poor Mover Preparedness and Packing: The movers came without tools, without tape, and without shrink wrap. This meant that they did not take apart certain furniture items that I explained were delicate and should be taken apart, and did not protect them. As a result, many items were damaged or flat out broken. (See attached photos for a few examples). 2. Extremely Unprofessional Mover Behaviour (3 examples below, but I have plenty more): i) Upon arriving days later than anticipated (I understand that there can be delays), I asked what happened and Wilton said that they did their best and got there as quickly as they could, but the people that schedule arrival dates are very sloppy. "Nico is just part time", and "Oleg is always on vacation and comes in maybe once a week while we do the real work." ii) When the movers initially came into my home, I asked if there was any way they could avoid stepping on my two rugs. Wilton said that if I "have OCD", I should have covered the rugs in construction paper. After trying to brainstorm a safe way for them to not step on the rugs, Ronaldo was annoyed and said he was leaving and cancelling the job, and that I should find new movers. When I was on the phone with their manager and explained this, Wilton lied and said that Ronaldo didn't say that, and that I was misunderstanding due to a language barrier, but Ronaldo was unloading boxes back into the house and gesturing to Wilton to leave - intentions were very clear. iii) Every time I asked a question, Wilton make me feel like I was the first person to ever ask a question and was extremely annoyed. One example was when I asked to confirm that he would wrap my furniture items after leaving, which he assumed me that he would do, since he did not bring any packing materials. He responded that he "knew how to do his job" and didn't like that I "didn't trust him". Unsurprisingly, this ended up being a complete lie - I have photos of the truck upon delivery showing that some items didn't ever end up being wrapped. He also said "why do you care? You have insurance." iv) Upon delivery, after seeing that some items were broken, I pointed this out to Wilton - he said "So what? Tell the company. That's why you buy insurance isn't it?" He was also wholly unsurprised that things were damaged, which I'm not sure was the best sign. 3) Poor Communication I will admit that Nico was extremely responsive and great to deal with, and that's ultimately why I chose this company. But the positive experience ended there - it was never possible to get in touch with the dispatchers, and Wilton never replied via text - I was never given any notice - not 1 hour, not the guaranteed 24 hours of final delivery, despite being told that the driver would let me know a day in advance. Made a move from New England to New York City. Booking with Poseidon was very easy, and they made it easy for me to understand the different fees and where costs might change based on changing inventory. However, even though I did make some changes, the crew was very accommodating and my flat rate did not change! Likely because I made more swaps than additions, but they did add a couple smaller items at no charge. I also really appreciated being given a narrow window to expect them for pickup, that way I wasn't waiting hours and hours. The crew arrived within that window, a rarity in my many move experiences. Once they arrived, they worked fairly quickly despite moving furniture from various locations in an occupied house. Took about an hour and a half, and they were on their way. My furniture arrived undamaged, again a rarity in my moving experience. They got the furniture in and reassembled decently quickly, making sure to place it as close to where I wanted it as possible (exact locations were impossible given the state of boxes). The only thing that caused a little headache was a miscommunication on booking about whether a parking permit would be needed. I'd mentioned the difficulty of the destination location on booking and was reassured they would take care of it. However, when the truck arrived, it was difficult as I hadn't secured a permit for a very dense part of lower Manhattan (possibly my oversight as this was the first time I had a moving truck going into such a difficult area). Fortunately, the crew and I were able to find a spot pretty close by working together. I really appreciate this team and would highly recommend them! My wife and I utilized Poseidon Moving for a move from Boston to Charlotte, NC this summer. We were happy with the reviews we saw online and their prompt response to our initial inquiries and went with their company for a pack and move service. By far the WORST moving experience I have EVER had. Nearly one third of our total boxes and inventory was significantly damaged - our bed was smashed and our sofa was torn. Multiple plates and kitchenware was broken due Poseidon's improper packing. We estimate a total of several THOUSANDS of dollars of damage. When we received our items, it looked like they just didn't care - multiple boxes were smashed and/or crushed. It was not subtle - the boxes were clearly broken and clearly smashed. It looked as though they had been thrown and placed under a whole other inventory of heavy items. Some items were never packed! There were items that we entrusted them to pack and they were never placed in boxes - for example, wall hangings arrived loose without any packing whatever. We were concerned about the packaging of our leather sofa and asked for the movers to pack it better/more - the movers said they would and they did not. We reached out to Poseidon immediately upon receiving our belongings in this distressing state. Initially, they said they would look into it and provide some reimbursement. We emailed them as they requested photos and descriptions of the damage and have heard NOTHING. I am not fan of writing negative reviews on yelp, but others deserve to avoid this company and Poseidon needs to use this as a lesson to keep their quality consistent. I do not know if the other reviews are from other movers they use who are better... or if these reviews are not real? These guys are GREAT. First I would like to express what an awesome experience I had with the staff that moved me on September 30th. Sean, Phillip and another man who's name I did not catch were all professional, friendly and made my moving experience seamless! I was moving from the North End on Hanover St. in Boston during COVID. The North End, particularly on Hanover St. is a shit show. What already is a very congested street is much worse during these times as all the restaurants have outdoor patios literally in the street. My apartment was on the 5th floor with no elevator. I HATE moving in general and I knew that this particular move was going to be a TASK. The staff at Poseidon Moving immediately put me at ease upon their arrival. They all had a friendly cheery disposition about them. They worked at an unbelievably quick pace with a level of straight up wizardry. It was truly impressive to watch. Stay away from this company. They totally underestimated the required equipment for this basic house move. Truck was too small, damaged 2 couches after jamming in items at the end. Had to leave items behind, thankfully new owners were ok with that as the movers had no other trucks available. They started late , 10am , finished at 11pm. Left moving equipment behind at both the from and to house. Claims department basically non existent. Asked for reimbursement of professional couch cleaning for $120, which was a steal for 2 couches. Absolutely terrible: unprofessional and unreliable. On top of scuffing/chipping both my desk and my dresser, they fully lost my trash can. When I asked about it they told me they'd look for it immediately and then did not get back to me for several days. They probably would have continued to ignore me if I didn't happen to run into the foreman of my crew in public because they finally responded to me right after that. They told me to send a link so they could order me a replacement one, which I did and it never came: that was nearly a month ago. They also did not put any effort into properly reassembling my bed frame, they just put it down and put the mattress on top of it, so I couldn't see that there was a whole row of legs not screwed in. I only realized this after my bed had been lurching around weirdly and making concerning noises, at which point I had to order my own tools to fix it and the threads in one of the legs had been so badly stripped it is no longer held by the screw. This moving company is so friendly and efficient. As a customer I was delighted to use them. They were contracted out by another company that I actually organized the move with but I'm glad that company chose Poseidon. The company I organized the move with was AWFUL. But Poseidon stepped up and still made it work. I told the company I hired I wanted to move on Saturday. Called them Saturday morning (7:00am) for payment details and was ready for them to come between 8am - 11am (even had confirmation). They called at 10:30am to tell me my move got changed to same day Sunday. But yet they told Poseidon that is was actually pick up Sunday and drop off Monday. Yes, very confused. Poseidon showed up Sunday morning and packed my stuff up and finished all of that by 9am. It was super fast and pleasant. They were under the assumption the drop off was Monday (because the company I hired was terrible at everything), after discussing the entire scenario with them, the movers called Alex and figured things out and were able to do same day delivery on the spot! Super helpful and saved my entire move. The company I hired then also tried to say that the move was $500 more than what they put as the final price and tried to get Poseidon to get the money from me but they defended me and kept my final price the same. Safe to say this is one of the best customer services I've ever had. I'll never higher Fast Trucking LLC again (that's the company). But I'd hire Poseidon for any move. Thanks again! read more

Nico, the person I arranged the move with at Poseidon, was straightforward and a good communicator. The guys who did the move were efficient, courteous and careful not to damage anything. I found that a key to having the actual move go well, under the already stressful moving experience, was to be as accurate as possible in providing details about what needs to be moved. This allowed the moving company to both schedule a realistic number of crew hours, and provide a realistic cost estimate. Keep in mind that the final cost is based on the actual number of crew hours worked, not on the estimate but a realistic estimate will reduce surprises when the bill is to be paid. read more

I was talking to my coworker about moving and needing to hire movers this time around and he recommended Poseidon ...he had just used them. We had never hired movers before so we were nervous...(but also excited to not be the ones moving boxes around haha) We had vetted several companies people recommended to us but we went with Poseidon for a number of reasons: my co worker's high regard of them, Yelp reviews, their pricing and the ease of their site. They are also very quick with communicating with you so there are no questions about how much they are going to cost To be honest, I was not around on moving day (yay work engagements), but my husband was. I guess they were a tiny bit late, but the "annoyance" of that went away pretty quickly with their professionalism. We have some annoying pieces of furniture, which they can move with ease. Our ginormous couch had to be hoisted over our second story level front porch at our new place (I think they charged us about $25 extra for that-- extremely fair, just FYI in case you have big pieces that won't fit through your door). They didn't waste ANY time getting things out and getting things in. I will update this review with names of our movers so I can give them a shoutout. And if you are reading this, one of your cables you used to hoist up our couch is still on our porch :-P THANK YOU FOR MAKING OUR LIFE EASIER! We will definitely recommend you!!!! read more

My wife and I have had horrible experiences with movers in the past, and we were a little nervous when we booked Poseidon to help us load our POD. Well, the nerves were unnecessary. Denis and Almat showed up early and were very patient as we waited for our POD to arrive. Once they started moving our stuff, our minds were blown at how fast they got the job done, while taking good care of our possessions. They were friendly and professional, and we would recommend them to anyone. Also, I was very impressed with the customer experience, all the way from when I booked with Poseidon on YELP, through the answering of my questions through their online portal on the days leading up to the move. The best part was that I had a single point of contact for my move, Alex, who I could call or message anytime to work out the timing issues we were dealing with. 5 stars, only because I can't give more. I think everyone can agree that moving is one of the most frustrating experiences you have to endure in your life. And, especially in Boston, you usually have to endure it over and over again! Fortunately for us, there is a company like Poseidon that makes the transition so much smoother. I've now used Poseidon for 2 different moves, and both times I've been very pleased with the experience. It is easy to schedule as well as affordable. If you pay with cash, there is a 10% discount, and if you are a returning customer or refer someone/are referred, there is an additional 3% discount (you can't combine both of these 3% discounts though). The movers are very fast, efficient, and careful while moving your things. They are also very nice and appreciative when you offer them water or a snack! I don't hope to move again any time soon, but when I do, Poseidon will be the first company I call! read more

I never write reviews, but feel like I have to in this case to warn others. My experience with Poseidon started out fine, but there were definitely some issues at the start. For example, I was given an estimate that was clearly overinflated - even though I told the account manager that my queen size bed was disassembled, she put it in the estimate as an assembled bed that would take up much more square footage (and more square footage = higher price). Same with my twin bed. She eventually adjusted it after some back and forth, but seemed annoyed that I pointed it out. The worst part of the experience was their radio silence after my stuff was delivered and I noticed they broke several items (including my TV). I have sent numerous emails and left voicemails with several different people and haven't received a single response back. I'm shocked that they think they can just ignore customers (who paid a lot) instead of doing the right thing. I would not recommend this company to anyone and will not be using them again. read more

They will overcharge you, show up late and you will never get a response from anyone at their corporate office unless you continuously reach out and again and again. even then it's a 50/50 chance they'll respond. I only ever received a response after I paid for the first half of my move out to storage to confirm my upcoming moving. As you'll read below there was never any sort of follow up or customer service for when things went wrong. I used them for a local move. I saw the reviews that where posted after I booked and thought it might just be poor logistics for long distance moves. I was wrong. I was moving from my building to storage to a new unit a month later. My actual item pickup was 2 hours after the window. No one called to communicate the delay and my calls/emails to Poseidon where left unanswered. I finally got a call from my forman for the move an hour after my window saying they where on the way and they would be 45 min. This was the only communication I ever received to this day about the delay from the company. No follow up, no checking, nothing. 2 movers also only showed up instead of the 3 I was quoted. When I complained after only getting 2 movers and only received a $20 discount on my rate for 3 movers, I was told that it was because the 3rd mover is supplementary and doesn't impact time which just makes no sense to me. I pushed for an additional discount and they took an additional $10 off the hourly rate. I also had two extra small furniture items and 3 boxes not accounted for in my initial estimate. When I asked about them taking the 5 additional items they said they'd have to charge me an additional 80 cents per square inch to take them above my already quoted rate even though a few of the larger items I had requested a move for (TV specifically) were no longer being handled by them. I cut my loses and moved the rest in my car to a friends basement or threw them away if it wasn't worth the cost. Where it gets bad is the actual move in to my new apartment from storage. Its very clear they over book and over book their drivers. My window was 12-3 but expected it to be closer to 5 given the 8/1 move in and the lag in time for their first arrival (going in with low expectations). What I did NOT expect was for them to arrive at 10:00 PM at night. They blamed clients for under estimating their apartment size and load for the truck. While i understand people may not fully understand the full magnitude of boxes they will have I feel like that is no excuse for showing up 6 hours late and continuously changing arrival times so frequently in that period of time. I was first contacted by my foreman around 4. This was an hour after my window and two calls and a text to the foreman and dispatcher with no reply. I was told they'd be there closer to 6:30 with 3 guys. Okay, not a problem. Not great but a reasonable time. I was then called saying they where going to do my job first and get there for 4:30/5 if I could be there ready so I said yes and I'd be available. Around 5:30 I got a call back saying it be later then expected but that I had an option. I could get 2 guys and they'd be there in 30 or I could wait until 7:30 and have 5 guys and they'd get it done faster. I said I was fine waiting until 7:30. 7:30 rolls around, no follow up our outreach so I text my foreman. At around 7:45 they said they where finishing the previous job and theyd be there in 45 min. 8:45 passes and no show. They do follow up at 8:45 letting me know they are still behind and they'll be there in 30. 30 min passes and no show. I check back in around 9:30 and they are now 14 min away. The movers show up at around 10 PM and are done in less than an hour and a half. Unfortunately there is a 3 hour minimum on the contract and, despite being 6 hours late and moving me in after 10 pm, they insist they have to say the job took until 1 AM and can't put the actual time down and charge me for 3 full hours. They also had the wrong contract pulled up and tried to over charge my by $70/hr and was insistent even when both myself and the dispatcher confirmed the foreman had the wrong rate. He realized it was the wrong contract and fixed it but was blown away I was about to be overcharged despite having a contract on their portal right in front of them. Poseidon never arrived plain and simple.... I was left completely ghosted with no response for several days. Do not do business with them if you are in the Boston area. I scheduled the move 1.5 months ahead of time and put a $200 deposit down, but then was left completely stranded on my move date one day before the deadline of my lease. The "Customer Service" representative assigned to your move is not responsive for days on end, you are lucky if you get a response. They purposely do not give you any contact information and have no sense of accountability. Two entire days after my move date had been scheduled, without hearing a single thing from Poseidon, I finally received a message from the Customer Service rep assigned to my move that read, "Hi Cullen, I deeply apologize for this happening. I was not in the office, so I was not aware this was occurring nor was I notified of this. We are trying our best to be on time for the moves and plan accordingly, but things have been extremely busy on our end as we have lost a couple of our movers and drivers. Again, I sincerely apologize. If you would like to reschedule, due to increased volume we are only scheduling moves after 6/5, if you would like to cancel your move with us and issue a refund, please let me know." I booked this move 1.5 months in advance (with a $200 deposit down), and needed to move out of my apartment by 5/31. The Customer Service rep was the only contact information I was provided, so of course they were not notified of the movers never showing up... they don't check their email/phone because there is no sense of accountability. They just move on to the next customer who falls for the trap that they can take advantage of. Absolute nightmare, do not hire them. There are plenty of alternative options that actually show up on the day of your move. read more

We used Poseidon for our move last month from MA to MD. They could not give us a definitive date for the move until 2 days before. They tried to pressure me (a woman alone) to pay them more money in order to finish loading the truck. Had to agree to pay $1100 more and lied about why it was over the cubic feet. First it was that we didn't list the outdoor furniture, when I showed them our invoice, they then said it was the kitchen furniture, then that we had too many boxes but they couldn't tell me by how much. Because I was alone and couldn't fit the rest of the items in my own car I agreed to pay more. My fiancé called back to complain and we didn't get charged. Delivering our stuff they were SEVEN HOURS LATE. The truck then "broke down" after unloading at the storage unit and they didn't finish moving our stuff until midnight on a Friday night. I would NEVER use them again and I highly suggest no one else does. These new 5 star reviews are suspicious. read more

I recently moved from Somerville to San Francisco, and in researching moving companies became terrified of getting scammed or screwed, overpaying, or having half my stuff break on the way. Thankfully, I chose Poseidon! They were 60% the price of the other quotes a got, and far better than I could have expected! Only downside was that the move took 3 weeks and arrived at the very end of the 2 week delivery window they promised. But everything was in tact, no crazy up charging, great team on both ends, and overall good communication from the office team. Highly recommended! read more

NEVER USE POSEIDON! Hands down the worst moving experience, and the worst customer service experience I have ever received period. They were 6 hours delayed on my pick up, they were a week late on delivery, and when they finally arrived they gave me no warning. They called me one afternoon and said they'd be there in 15 minutes to deliver my stuff. Obviously it was in the middle of my work day. When they moved the stuff in they made a complete mess, throwing the boxes around and no organization. Management does not respond to calls or emails no matter how much I tried. In 2019, I used Poseidon Moving and had a really good experience. The 3 movers were careful with my belongings and made really good time in moving my 1 bedroom apartment. This experience led me to use Poseidon again for my move earlier this month. However, I had a very different experience this time. The 3 movers didn't seem as careful with my things and during this pandemic, were very careless with their masks. One of them would constantly come inside and talk to me maskless. Each of them was wearing airpods as they worked and while it makes sense to listen to music or a podcast as you are mostly doing solo-work, these movers would have whole conversations on the phone while working. And if they weren't on the phone with someone else, they would be shouting at each other through their airpods to communicate, which was embarrassing as we were moving into our new building. They also left their trash in the front entrance of my own building, which I had to clean up after them. While most of my belongings were moved okay, my computer monitor was broken and is now unuseable. I've tried to get in contact with them and was told I would be contacted by a claims specialist, but I've heard nothing from their end. If I wanted this level of service, I would've just hired a cheaper moving company. I won't be using Poseidon again. An UPDATE (because Poseidon reached out to me to ask to revise my original): A few days after I posted this, someone from the Claims Dept., I believe his name was Oleg, got back to me to address the issue with my move. They reimbursed me $300 for my broken monitor and give me a 10% discount for any future move with Poeisdon. I will say -- the administrative side for Poseidon is rather communicative and professional. However, based on my two experiences--the movers themselves are a mixed bag. read more

Poseidon was able to accommodate my last minute schedule request! I needed a mover to shift some furniture in my home from one floor to another to make room for new furniture being delivered the next day. Probably about a two hour job. And one large couch needed to be moved to my husband's office. Two movers showed up at the scheduled time on a Friday afternoon with a truck large enough to transport the single couch to a destination about 45 minutes away. But first, the furniture in the house needed moving. The two movers were polite, conscious about NOT nicking woodwork and able to complete the job quickly. They didn't have any tools with them (surprising) to take the legs off a couch but I was able to supply the needed tools!! All in all, a good experience with Poseidon! I'd recommend them! read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVE!!!!! My $2500 tv came broken. The movers showed up 1 hour late. The manager that I spoke to is RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL. They are refusing to pay for my property that THEY broke. After I paid $7,000.00 for this move from Boston to Miami.. I highly recommend you use someone else. . We had a great experience with Poseidon Moving in our recent move within the Boston area. The only hiccup we had was that we had been told we would have three movers, and the crew was only two people. Our move was a 1-bedroom's worth of furniture, and involved some tight elevators. The two movers got it done in the original quoted amount, so it didn't affect our total cost or experience. They were extremely professional and communicative, and handled all of our furniture with care and efficiency. Overall a great experience and would recommend. read more
