After a very BOTCHED haircut somewhere else I found Posh. I had a 15 minute consultation over the phone (which I really appreciate) and was paired with Dj. My appointment was on a snow storm day. Dj came in anyway just for me!! I told him what I wanted. We again had another 15 minute consultation discussing the haircut that I wanted. He gave me an incredible shoulder length. Layered fabulous cut. I went home. I wore it for a couple days and realized that I wanted it shorter. I had always wanted it shorter, and I called DJ to let him know that I'd like to book again to have it taken up a little bit. He was so amazing. He gave me an even better short. Layered amazing haircut didn't charge me anything ! The communication in that place is amazing. The hair products they carry are awesome. My hair was a complete mess. (Two years of not being cut and many months of postponing getting the grocery store box coloring kit off my closet shelf. As my hair is 90% grey and I had been coloring it almost black for 10 years- this left me with a mixture of looks- mostly skunk and Cruella De Vil.) * She talked over options and then spent hours patiently transforming my hair. If you don't want to get an infection, avoid this salon. This place is dangerous for public! They rent chairs to whatever "master" they find without checking for qualifications. The person who did my hair cut doesn't know how to handle a hair trimmer and what angle he should apply. He scratched my head several time. My wife noticed that I was bleeding and asked him to stop because he kept ignoring it. In addition, he put hair color stains on my short. There is no manager or administrator available because all "masters" are independent contractors. The owner of the salon put my health in danger due to his or her negligence. After that haircut nightmare, I had to drive straight to the pharmacy and buy first aid antiseptic for back of my head. I schedule an appointment with my physician for a blood test. Most importantly, I involve the family attorney and we contact the city regarding their business license! read more

The girl was very sweet & made me feel totally comfortable at getting my hair cut here! After she was finished, I was amazed & happy & was glad I came here in the first place! Eh... unfortunately I was pretty underwhelmed by this salon. I bought a $30 Groupon for a "consultation", shampoo, cut and style, which apparently retails at $75. The hair cut I received was barely worth the $30. I told my hairstylist that I wanted something low maintenance- I will be the first to admit that I am lazy in the morning (as in I kind of don't brush my hair...) and don't like spending a ton of time in front of the mirror primping and preening. I rarely blow dry or style my hair, and I definitely told the stylist this. So long story short, I liked the cut when I left the salon, but after I washed it the next day and let it air dry, it didn't look good at all. It looks like I already have a ton of split ends, and the layers she put in stick out in all kinds of strange directions. Think finger-in-the-electric-socket kind of crazy. Considering how much money you have to spend and the quality of the stylists, I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone. read more

I moved to Colorado three years ago from California and went to stylist after stylist trying to find someone who can do great highlights, cut AND a superb blowout. Well, let me just say that I was in for a rough ride. Endless color mishaps and no one could do a decent blow out - until I was referred to Andrea D. - she saved my life! Not only does she "get" my hair, she is so darn funny and entertaining. I look forward to my appointments with her. I am fairly new to Denver and had been putting off getting highlights for weeks because I was so scared of getting my hair screwed up. When I finally got a recommendation from a new coworker to try Posh, I was thrilled! They even able to squeeze me in that same week... However, the service was less than stellar. I only desired basic, unbrassy, evenly spaced, bleed-free, blond highlights and though that is basically what I ended up with- the hours were not enjoyable. My stylist used a fine-tooth comb to roughly detangle my hair between foils which not only hurt but caused visible damage (I could see the hairs breaking off and falling on my smock). She was very obviously rushing because she had attempted to squeeze my appointment in an hour break in her schedule... As soon as her next client arrived (who was visibly surprised to see her still foiling someones hair) she popped a few more foils in on top and set me under the dryer! Any blond knows that the hair along your part is the most important and visible and she rushed more there than anywhere else. Just when I thought that the experience couldn't get any worse, she gave the receptionist my total- $115 dollars! For highlights only, on medium-length hair! That is way higher than most other (much better) salons around town like Luxe, Bang, Jua that charge between 70-90. I left frustrated, with my hair still wet in the back due to her half-a**ed attempt at a blowout, out of . There are MUCH better salons out there with stylists that care enough to take their time and keep a new client. read more

I purchased a Groupon for Salon Posh and everything was fine...until the next day that is. I got highlights and my stylist was great. When done, she said good bye and have a good day. I asked the receptionist and one of the OWNERS if I was good to go when they asked me what I was waiting for at the counter. The owner asked, "did - - - give you a ticket with anything on it?" I said no. She said oh, you had a groupon right? I said Yep, she said did you want to leave a gratuity then? I said I already did. She said your good then, bye. Next day I get an email from groupon stating that I have an unsettled bill with Posh. So I call Posh and she says I owe $40 more dollars?!? WHAT?! She said you didn't pay for the haircut and the groupon only covered the highlights. I said I didn't get a haircut. She said, "well, then you need to pay for the Blow dry and Style." I didn't get a style I got a blow dry and that is it. SO PEOPLE be prepared to leave Posh with SOPPING WET HAIR if you don't want to have to pay $40 extra dollars to have your stylist dry it for you. Bring a towel! Oh, and when you get there, you have to go into their bathroom and get and put on your own cape. Seriously. read more

I am not impressed. My stylist was extremely rude, leaving me for a few minutes with sopping wet hair and no towel to go get some coffee and gossip with her coworkers. I went to her because I had heard that she was good with curly hair but I did not find that to be the case. She did not listen to or understand what I wanted at all and ended up blow-drying my hair straight so it was clear that she did not listen to the fact that I wear it curly every day and wanted a cut and style that would work for me. She did not even care to show me the back in a mirror or ask if I liked the cut (even GreatClips does that!) Kim C has been my colorist since I lived in LA last year. She recently moved back home to Denver and I (shamelessly) fly there to continue to have her do my hair. Never have I been in the hands of a more talented colorist and never have a received more compliments when Kim does my color. She's so knowledgable on the current trends and techniques and creates the most BEAUTIFUL color full of dimension, movement and colors that suit your own skin tone. I will never go back here and would not recommend this to anyone- Lori (one of the owners) has the worst customer service out of everyone there. I have gotten my hair done by her 3 times and I should have learned my lesson after the first time. She was always in a hurry, in a bad mood and completely overpriced not to mention she was over 30 minutes late for 2 or my 3 appointments without even offering an apology. I do want to give kudos to Jaime (another one of the owners) who is nice and does a nice job. However, my experience with Lori was to awful and disappointing to forget. I have to start off by saying I am the pickiest and a super scardy-cat when it comes to doing anything to my hair. I'm super low maintenance to the point I don't usually style or do anything with my hair on a regular basis. I started coming to Danielle after I moved here from Texas and she is the absolute best! She is so patient and kind and really takes her time with me explaining everything she's going to do. I come in with pictures and she doesn't bullshit about what my hair type would look like and explains how to style to make it look how I want. I used to always be nervous even to get a trim but with Danielle I don't feel that way, I'm actually anxious and excited. I've had super long hair my whole life and she talked with me and gave me plenty of time to work my way to what I have now which is a super cute bob. I can't express enough how grateful I am for how she works with me. You never have to worry you'll regret a haircut sitting in her chair. read more

I also went to Posh after purchasing a Groupon, back in January. I don't normally write reviews, however thinking back on my experience has motivated me to do so. My biggest compliant is that I was not listened to at all. The one star is for a haircut that wasn't terrible on me, but definitely underwhelming and not at all what I asked for. So, I'm a bigger women, but I wanted my hair cut rather short in the back and long in the front (I gave lenghts and examples) and I toyed with the idea of bangs. I too am rather lazy about styling my hair and I had such a busy schedule that I told my stylist that I needed get up and go hair. She said bangs were high maintains and thus said I didn't need them. Okay, and I want my hair died a dark color. She said great and agreed to do my eyebrows. It was all coming up roses as they say. Then she proceeded to dye my and then cut it. The color was basically my original color only more even and she said it was fantastic and didn't I agree. I said yeah it looked good because she seemed so excited about her work I didn't want to burst her bubble, so my fault for not speaking up. She explained the number system of dyes and then cut my hair in the most boring way possible while using a bunch of products and blow drying it out to be straightened. I understand they are going to style hair, I expect that but as she's doing it she's giving me all these lessons on how to maintain the hair cut and how to blow from the bottom up in the back, brush it up, comb it over, give it more body by doing this and blah blah blah. It was like those bobs that are slightly shorter in the back. Bangs are too much work but you're going to give me a haircut that is not low maintenance and not what I asked for. I understand it must be a difficult job to be a stylist with ambiguous directions from clientele and picky requests. But if she followed my requests, and I looked bad, then I would only have myself to blame. Instead the stylist was so excited about her work she couldn't even take a moment to realize she didn't execute my wishes. Lastly, yes you have to go in the bathroom to put on a cape. I maybe old fashion but this isn't a spa, so just put a tarp over me get it done right. read more

Posh is professional and masters in their field. They continually give me great highlights in the spring/summer and lowlights in the winter/fall. From blowouts to haircuts to updos, I have NEVER had a bad experience -- even through my migration from bangs to a longer length. They understand hair and recommend products that are right for me. I really wanted to like this place as it is so close to my house, but unfortunately, my experience was so bad, I will never return. I bought a Groupon for a highlight and style for $59. I was told the stylist who posted the Groupon was gone and they couldn't contact her (hmmm...maybe my first clue?). So Jenn honored the deal (sounds nice). I asked for am ombre style, which she seemed confident with. I went home, after a generous tip. The next day, I realized the color was not at all as contrasted as I had asked. I went back for a correction. Jenn charged $60 for a correction and the receptionist was "on the fence" on getting a manager involved. 100% my original price for a correction! Don't honor a Groupon if you don't want a new client, Jenn. And, the new color, the "additional highlight" I was charged for, was still awful. I bought a $7 clairol box to achieve the effect I had originally asked for. Skip this place, or at least, skip Jenn, as my $150 color was a disaster. I could have gone to to a good salon and had it done right the first time. Terrible, terrible experience. read more
