i got my nails done the other day with my boyfriend to match, and i'm honestly just disappointed. i don't remember our tech's names but they didn't seem to care about the quality of our sets and laughed at their own work for the last 30 mins of our appointment. i hope this is not how all guests are treated by these two techs, as they would be losing you service. probably don't go here, if you want something worth your money. I've been going to POSH in Jenison for over a year now, and they STILL impress me. I can always get an appointment the day prior and 90% of the time, the day of my request. It is consistently the cleanest salon i have ever frequented. The manager is organized and runs the place exquisitely so no one is EVER waiting for their appointment. This was our first visit and we were pleased with how the nails were done. The manicurists were very polite and made our experience there wonderful and comfortable. Some of us did not know much about getting our nails done in general, so the manicurists were very willing to help and explain the process and options, as well as offering advise on which color to pick. For the other girls who knew what they wanted and showed the manicurists by bringing in pictures, the manicurists were able to paint their nails pretty much identical to the pictures. They had many color options to pick from. The salon was very clean and the seats were very comfortable. There was a section where they had seats for little kids who wanted pedicures. The seats were so cute! One was yellow and had a minion on it, while the other was pink and had Disney princesses on it. So it looks like kids can do their nails here as well. For a manicure and pedicure, the total came out to be around $80, which was a bit pricey for me. But the manicurists did a very good and detailed job. I would recommend trying this place! read more

Great nail salon! I enjoyed getting my toes done here. They have the fantastic massage chairs, best I had been in, in a while. The music is a little Miami chill vibe which is a little more fun than the usual spa music. It is a little bit faster pace, but still not unenjoyable while you're getting a pedicure. I would give 0 stars if I could. The girl who did my manicure was so rushed she finished in 20 minutes rather than what it usually takes, about an hour. She did not ask me how long I wanted my nails, she just cut them down and continued on her way. My dip is lumpy, my cuticles were cut until they bled, and each of my nails are different lengths and shapes. I mentioned my concern to the owner when I checked out, and he simply said they could do a new set but I would have to pay for all of the services again. Extremely disappointed. read more

I got my nails done with the dip powder for the first time ever, and loved how it turned out. Posh is a nice setting the staff are kind. For those of you considering the dip... it's similar to the shellac in how long it lasts and how it looks/feels. You don't have to have your hands under a UV light at all with the dip (a plus in my opinion). It is tedious to take off at home, again similar to the shellac in this way. read more

Update- ANOTHER nail broke! This makes 4 IN UNDER A WEEK. I have lost ALMOST HALF OF MY NATURAL NAILS. Do NOT GO!!!! I really really wanted to love this place... It is beautiful inside- the staff is friendly and it just has a really nice elevated, Upscale look! However, I got an acrylic overlay on my real nails, which I should mention I have been doing for almost a year - and I lost three of my nails in less than a week !!! they were all broken in the same place. the third time I came back to get my nail fixed-They charged me to repair it !!! will not be coming back. I was a huge Posh supporter when they first opened and feel they really went downhill. I would go regularly with a friend and our daughters and we started saying their new motto could be "Posh Nails...where you get the color we pick" or "Posh Nails...get what you get". None of our colors were ever close to the ones we picked and if we dared question our heads were bit off so we just accepted the color we got. I went back this past Sunday and the lady was filing more of the skin around my toe nails than the actual nail. I always get the signature pedi because I love the hot stones. My water was cold and after asking 3 times for warmer water, to have colder water added I gave up and went with the "you get what you get" motto. My hot stone massage was an 1/8th of what I felt it would have or usually was. The massage was meh. I paid for a signature pedi, plus a 20% tip and walked away disappointed and with an infected toe. It's what I deserve. I knew better but keep thinking if I try ONE MORE TIME I will like them again.... read more

I've been here several times over the last year and the service has take a dip in the last few months. I kept telling myself if I go back it might be like it used to be next time and it just hasn't been. I get simple gel/shellac manicures and the last few times there are air bubbles, misshapen nails, and I've left with some bleeding nail beds. This visit I told them I wanted color #408 and they get started. I thought the first coat looked light, but the first color is always lighter than the true color, so I waited. Then as soon as they did the first nail in second coat I knew it was the wrong color. I told the guy before he even started the second nail and he immediately started yelling at me saying no, I chose color #405 and I clarified no, I said #408. He was just yelling at me insisting that I said the number I did not and then told me it would be $28 to do a color change. He called the guy from reception over and told him his side of the story and the reception guy just stood there. I conceded and said I'd just go with the current color cause I was not about to pay for his mistake. Then I sat in silence while he finished the color I didn't want and made several of my nail beds bleed. Nobody in the store even offered up so much as an apology. I will not be returning. read more

But the staff is so rude. I've gone twice now and they act like I'm a burden and annoyed with me.. the woman literally kept yanking on my hands and rolling her eyes.. this last time I literally left with my nails nothing like I asked for. Wow! I went to Posh for the first time on October 28th. I'm moving to Jenison so I thought I'd start looking for a new nail salon ahead of my move. I'm so glad I did. I can't begin to tell you how impressed I am with their work. Everyone is super friendly. They team actually had conversations with you (unlike many other nail salons). Salon is so beautiful and spacious too. And clean. I appreciated the extra steps that they were taking to ensure safety of all guests (in todays world of covid). But what impressed me the most was how well my dip manicure lasted. I have never had such a well done manicure. Ever! There were absolutely no chips, cracks or lifting. The top coat shine was still very good too. My color change today was done on day 38 after my first visit no less!! So awesome. Typically by the 3rd week I absolutely need to get a new manicure. But almost 6 weeks later? ? Wow. I won't always wait (love to get a color change sooner anyhow) but it's good to know that I could wait if I wanted to as well. Sad because it's a nice salon with nice people. But I tried to do a walk in the first day to which they told me no I had to have an appointment despite reading multiple reviews that they accepted walk-ins. Made an appointment for the following day and ended up paying $51 for them to just put dip on my nails and file them. Received no other parts of a manicure despite asking for one. Very expensive for just some powder on your nails. At least the color was nice and they were done nicely. I won't be coming back here though. read more

Pedicure for grand daughter and myself. Brought my 4 yo grand daughter in for pedicure and polish on her nails. She was all excited. She unfortunately did not behave in the way that the girl wanted her to, smeared her nails twice. I asked if there was a fast drying top coat that could be used and was told no. She would have to sit for 20 minutes for the glitter polish to dry. The only way for a faster drying time was for shellac. Not a good option for 4yo. We changed the type of polish and begrudgingly the polish was out on and she sternly told her to sit still this time. Grand daughter did amazing and did make it 20 minutes to allow drying. I tried to keep it fun for the birthday outing and we left with smiles. We both ended up getting the service we paid for but the pedicure was far from relaxing for me, as I was nervous about how the staff would react to her. Will never go here again. read more

Got a mani pedi and felt totally pampered. The pedicure came with a hot stone massage on my legs. They did my shellac manicure during the pedi which made me feel very spoiled. I used to go here every three weeks for dip powder. Throughout the dozens of times I went here, I only had an issue with my nails twice. That's pretty good! I would just see whomever was available, never a set tech. I quit coming here because I was no longer getting charged the same amount each time. Twice in a row they added charges to my total while checking out. One time it was a shaping fee and one time I'm assuming it was the same thing, but the girl kept calling it a fee for filing my nails. I got the same service every time - dip powder over my natural nails. They literally have to file your nails as a part of the application. Why would I get charged extra for this? I had changed shape from square to almond in the past and was never charged extra. I also had them file to shorten my nails multiple times and I was never charged extra. The extra charges with no explanation and refusal to remove them was just very sketchy. I even explained that I get the same service every single time without charges. It's such a nice, clean salon so this was a bummer. So, maybe try it out but I highly recommend reviewing your charges even if you are a regular customer. read more
