I surveyed my friends and associates and was pleased. I touched base with my insurance carriers and no problem, so it was a go. Online Presence- Up and running but a little behind the times. They have a website but no patient portal. There is a link to make an appointment but all it does is generate a call to the staff. It's time for an update! Arriving- Thy are on the southbound frontage road of US Route 27 between Avon Park and Sebring. There are several turn offs before and after them. Just query your GPS. Parking is no problem. Front of the Office- Always a big deal in a medical practice. The physical part is just fine. The reception area and treatment rooms are clean and mostly comfortable. See my pictures. The staff is better than just fine. Everybody I touched was great! The Appointment- I was able to get an appointment within a week which was great. I showed up a little early and was in a treatment room before my appointment time. Soo far, so good. Unfortunately, I sat there for almost 45 minutes with no contact from anyone! Not a good way to make a first impression! The Md- First impressions were very favorable. He knew how to listen, which is so important! His questions were organized and on point. He spent about 45 minutes with me which I appreciated. I walked out feeling good about my choice. Conclusion- A solid choice! That 45-minute wait hurt but he made up for it with quality time. I'm going with 4 stars for now!

Somehow the emergency room we visited the same day was satisfied to hand her a bottle of general antibiotics and send her home. I am convinced that she would have died had he not seen her that day and had her admitted at once. He is an altruistic doctor who is skilled and compassionate. I am grateful to him that my mother is not only still here but well. I have heard several people speak of him in glowing terms. now i understand why.

This is a review of the fine folks that took care of her in her final days. This facility is part rehab facility and part nursing home. Over the past six years, she has been here for rehab, for several weeks at a time, five or six times. She was so pleased with the service and the staff that she chose here for the last year of her life She was comfortable and cared for and clean and well fed and stimulated as best as you can be at that advanced age. Over the years, I've visited dozens and dozens of times, and I've found the employees to be just fine. While the pandemic was a huge challenge, they handled it professionally. The "lockdowns," while annoying for visitors and loved ones were a necessary part of the unprecedented situation. This is not the "Mercedes" of nursing homes but if you want to sleep well at night knowing that your loved one is well cared for, this is a fine choice in the Central Florida area!

I've been with him for 11+ years and here is what it's like to visit this practice. Arriving- He is in private practice and owns his own very nice stand-alone building with private parking. It is just off US Route 27 North. Parking is a snap. Ambience- The interior is spotless with a comfortable waiting room. I don't spend much time there as his process is very efficient. His treatment rooms are also very comfortable. Network- He is part of the Advent Health System as are all of my specialist MDs. It's wonderful and extremely convenient that all of my Docs have access to all my records! Intake Process- When I show up, I usually see two or sometimes three folks that take care of the basics. They are friendly and efficient, do their thing and then pop me into a treatment room. So customer service is exemplary. I usually wait about five minutes before the boss shows up. Bedside Manner- If you are expecting a crisp white jacket and formal attitude, you are in the wrong place! He usually wears shorts and for me he hits just the right balance between casual and getting the job done! Super easy to talk to. If I get a blood test, he calls me within a week after the results are in. Faster if it's something serious. Language Barrier- Folks sometimes ask me if he has a difficult accent and the answer is absolutely not! Anyone who has ever met him will say the same. A quick visit to the front desk to pick up any follow up paperwork and I'm out of there! Conclusion- So I experience an excellent environment with solid caring and friendly staff. My records are organized across my Docs. Dr. Sharma's bedside manner suits me, and I trust him! It's a solid five stars from me!

It ended up being close to 90. So be patient. The technicians who eventually arrived were professional and attentive, efficiently working through their processes with what they ARE allowed to do and what they are NOT allowed to do. The hospital had to get a nurse and orderly to move Dad out of the hospital bed and into their transportation gurney. Once that was done, smooth sailing. Dad was quickly moved into the ambulance and off they went with sirens blasting away. My bonus mom and I followed in the car at a less frenetic pace. We arrived at the hospital and Dad was fine, all plugged in to the monitoring equipment in the ER while they waited for a transfer to the specialty department. You don't always get to choose who moves you around as a patient, but this was pretty good and while I hope we don't need their service again, they were professional. When I stated that my mental health was not pertinent to my visit and that I would rather not discuss such, Smith ( not a mental health specialist ) became very defensive, stated something to the effect of "this isn't going to work for me".... My experience with Smith leads me to conclude that there is a reason he does not have a PHD, isn't an MD. ( My husband was also witness to this violation of personal/patient rights ). Maybe Smith can respond to my negative review with a condescending retort, like the responses I've read to other negative reviews, on other pages.

Thankfully after 2days in the hospital in observation and running numerous tests, the results were negative Thank God! I called the doctors office and spoke with the front desk who advised me that in order for me to speak with the doctor, I would have to come in. I asked if they had received any of my messages and they advised that they did receive them but in order for me to speak with the doctor I had to go in person. A simple phone call from Dr.Camillo asking how she was doing prior to me coming in for a follow up appointment would have been the professional thing to do. But she refused to call me and required me to come in person. Again, absolutely no bedside manners whatsoever!!!!! We will NEVER go back there again! On top of that, the front desk is VERY unprofessional, whether you're in person or over the phone one of the front desk girls constantly calls you "Babe" .... What is that?! Either call me by my last name, first name or "Mam". But it's extremely unprofessional to be calling patients mothers "Babe"!

AC is more than adequate which is critical in sunny Florida. He is usually on time with only occasional significant wait times. The employees are friendly and efficient. Treatments- Dr. Ebanks is both a doctor and a surgeon so he knows his feet! I really appreciate his bedside manner and he's excellent in dealing with elderly folks like my mother. When we leave here, she always has a smile on her face! It's worth noting that they also take walk-ins especially if it's an emergency. This is a solid Highlands County choice!
