Positive Touch Medicine has really changed a lot for me mentally, physically, spiritually! I started coming here over the summer shortly before a car accident. I came here for maintenance of my PCOS/anxiety, and Dr. Senter got a blood panel which was really informative in helping us understand my current physiologic chemistry. She put me on some herbal formulas that really helped with my anxiety and I have finally been able to get my first period off birth control, which is a huge feat to accomplish! Shortly after I started going to Positive Touch, I was T-boned by a car and experienced some intense polytrauma to both my mental state as well as physical state, sustaining multiple fractures and needing multiple surgeries. Dr. Senter has been such a massive support system through all of this, taking care of all the pieces that have fallen in the wake of surgery and physical therapy. Most primarily of these methodologies has been the weekly Bowenwork I get with her. It's such a relaxing experience to go in weekly and have fascial muscle released in various areas of my neck, shoulders, back, and arms. I have had lots of muscle tension from painful but necessary physical therapy sessions, and these weekly treatments do wonders for me. As someone fascinated by alternative forms of medicine and interested in being a holistic health care provider myself, I have also learned a lot from Dr. Senter. She is kind, empathic, and intuitive and has amazing insight. I was able to learn a lot about Ayurvedic medicine and continue to learn every week that I get to interact with her. Overall, I really could not have predicted that this experience was going to be so meaningful in terms of my physical, mental, and spiritual health and growth/personal development. It was one of the best decisions I have made thus far since moving to Seattle to come to Positive Touch, and I don't know how I would have made as much progress as I have with regaining my range of motion and mental stamina without the support of the providers here. I saw Dr Cynthia Senter for an my annual gynecological exam. (Ok, it had been more than a year since I'd had one) She was fantastic! She was ready for me once I finished up my paperwork. Her bedside manner is extremely warm yet professional. She listens, and does not jump to conclusions. I immediately felt comfortable with her. She suggested we do a full blood panel since my blood was being drawn anyways, and I hadn't had one done for awhile. That turned out to be extremely helpful, because my results showed I had some low levels that needed resolving. It also explained the physical issues I'd been experiencing. Dr. Senter is so personable and approachable. With her empathetic nature and wealth of current knowledge, she has helped me figure out many health challenges in addition to maintaining good digestion. And, she has been steadfast in supporting her patients during this covid pandemic. She doesn't get frazzled like other practioner I worked with during this time. Positive Touch Medicine has extremely high quality of care. I see Dr. Porter most often but I've also seen the other doctors and practitioners and have been very impressed. Dr. Porter doesn't simply treat ailments with medication, she analyzes the entire picture to my health. She has excellent knowledge and application related to allergies, but also in the last five years she's been my primary care physician, she has treated my every health need...from colds and flus to injury/pain to nutrition/cholesterol/inflammation/everything else under the sun. Unfortunately this place didn't work out for me. I had blood drawn for a multitude of tests. When the results came back they told me that I didn't have high cholesterol when the results clearly showed that I did. I tried to talk to them about the results and got no response. Also, half the tests that were suppose to be done were not ordered/requested with no explanation as to why. Extremely disappointed. read more

I highly recommend Dr. Porter at Positive Touch Medicine as a doctor of naturopathic medicine, primary care physician, and Bowen therapist. Through her holistic approach, kindness, care, concern, and network of professionals, I feel better than I have in many years. Dr. Porter was my first venture into naturopathic medicine when my primary care physician left her practice. I was skeptical, since I was "born and raised" on traditional medicine. But that wasn't working for me and I was ready to try anything to feel better. I had not felt well for many years, particularly for the past 10 years after I went through cancer treatment. After years of tests, doctors had yet to find anything wrong, but they kept trying different medications to alleviate the symptoms. I was referred to Dr. Porter and surprised that she is considered a Primary Care Physician under my insurance policy. So, I decided to give naturopathy a try. As I began to develop a relationship with Dr. Porter, I appreciated that she didn't criticize my previous medical care; I had anticipated that some of that might happen. Instead, she makes every effort to work as a team with my other "traditional" doctors. Dr. Porter explored my health issues using a team of professionals including a nutritionist, Bowen Therapist, and others. With this holistic approach, they identified I had a severe food allergy that had never been diagnosed. That was two months after I started seeing Dr. Porter. It has now been a year since I eliminated that food from my diet, and with the coaching/mentoring of Dr. Porter and her team I've been internally healing and changing my lifestyle and habits so I can have a healthy future. As a bonus, I have been able to eliminate two prescription medications from my regimen as a result of these changes. I feel that Dr. Porter is truly my advocate as I continue to navigate to a healthy life, both physically and emotionally. I have been a patient of Dr Cynthia Senter of Positive Touch Medicine for several years now. I first went seeking help for my Asthma and Allergies which we treated very well. I am essentially off prescription medicine and in health robust enough to climb Mt Rainier, and bicycle Seattle to Portland and Seattle to Vancouver Canada. Some of my issues we related to Food Allergies and we helped minimize these issues. Recently I was having some high Blood Pressure, and I was directed to some herbal treatments which lowered my BP without prescription medication. This isn't an overnight process and she helps you work towards better health. You explain the issues/condition and then discuss what you can do to improve your health. During our first visit, I felt like I was like sitting down with an old friend who cared about me. She has always been deeply interested in how I am, and is therefore thinking generatively about what can be done to increase my general sense of wellness. Her intuition, keen listening skills, and undeniable medical knowledge have all led me on a fulfilling healing path. Excellent! Both Dr. Porter and Dr. Senter are exceptional doctors. I've been to both. I once took my daughter with a high fever to her pediatrician who just said to give her children's Tylenol and 'keep an eye on her', but feeling there was really something going on, I took her to see Dr. Senter. The two appointments couldn't have been more different. My 5 yo daughter was almost traumatized by the clinical setting of the pediatrician and the institutional treatment. But with Dr. Senter and her comfy office and tender demeanor, my daughter felt better. Dr. Senter did a THOROUGH check up for an hour, sent us home with a FULL PAGE LIST of things to do for my daughter to help with the fever and other symptoms. The biggest shocker was that both appointments cost the SAME (15 minutes with the ped., vs 1 hour w/ ND). I also highly recommend Dr. Porter for anyone dealing with potential reactions to food or toxins, like skin rashes or joint pain, etc. She's like a detective. read more
