I owe Lynn, Troy, David, Peggy and Simon (oh and Kiko!) a long overdue 5 star review. I have been a client for many years using their mailbox service as well as calling on them to help with so many different tasks that'd take way too long to do on my own. Printing docs, scanning and sending docs on my behalf, faxing docs.....they are so helpful and efficient. I simply email them my requests and they handle the rest. Lynn (the owner) is there most of the time making sure everything is running as it should be. She takes pride in how her business is run....and it always makes a difference when the owner is so hands on. They also have a great selection of every type of card....you could probably a find a bday card for you pet hamster if you look long enough. Great local business in my neighbourhood of Potrero. Sorry to see David go....he got promoted to manage their Sacramento st location. Great service always offered with a sincere smile! I'll be with them for many years to come! read more

A prime exemplar of How Small Businesses Are Better: I arrived at the store 15 minutes before closing the day before Thanksgiving, needing to get two pairs of shoes back before a return deadline fast approaching. (return shipping was not free because the shoes were deeply discounted) Lynn worked with me to find the cheapest way, which involved her finding a different box than the one I had come in with. Out of concern for my return deadline, she was even going to drive the new box over to the UPS facility on 17th to drop it off for me! Really, you can't beat that. I'm so grateful to her for taking on my package problem as though it were her own. read more

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. They just charged my girlfriends $38.57 per package to ship 2 packages to the UK. We just checked online and at the post office it would have been $13.50 per package. This place rips people off. I understand making a profit but a 286% markup is insane. read more

The girl working there during COVID-19 was extremely rude to my mom, who was running shipping errands for my business. She scoffed at her the entire time whenever she asked for where something was, got mad at her for accidentally bumping the plexi glass, and overcharged her greatly for small international CD shipments, claiming that CD shipments would be "returned" if sent with First Class Mail (I have done this through the Post Office before with First Class and all of my CDs went through, so long as they had a customs form). Absolutely ridiculous, fussy, and unfriendly. We have long been customers of Post & Parcel, having lived in Potrero Hill since the 90s. My mom works in retail and knows what customer service etiquette should look like. We will no longer be going there. read more

Cute little shop with stationary, gifts and mailboxes/postal faciliities. A friend of mine has a mail box here and would send me to pick up mail, they never questioned who I was except for once. My friend came in to verify it was ok and I haven't had problems since. Nice, friendly and convenient. read more

PRICES WAY TOO HIGH --have used them several times to send heavy clothing home after visting our daughter in san francisco. last week, Sent package, served by a young, very nice female clerk, obviously new, could barely operate the wrapping tape machine. I would add that the boss was not present, just the clerk and a thin 30 year old employee, who could not have cared less how she was doing her job. He was idly standing a few feet away I'm forgiving them, really, because everyone has to start sometime... but their prices are outrageous! They charge way more than we pay at UPS and Fedex in NY and Miami to send clothing back and forth. And we send these clothing packages about 6 times a year. I'm a simple girl and greeting cards lift my spirits. When I am in the mood for the thought that counts and I can't afford pretty little things on a grad school budget, I shop here. Previously Potrero Mail N' More, this stationary store situated on top of the hill is where I go for any occasion because they have a great selection. Scenic SF cards, various blank cards, hilarious punchlines, gifts and wrapping paper but my favorite is the handmade ones with quotes of children that say things like "You can't ground me. I am the princess." from a 5 year old or "I love you with all my shoes." There is a fax and xerox, and they offer shipping services like fedex. The staff gives the store a personal touch, and inquires about the day to day affairs with the regulars. When I complimented her wedding ring she told me her husband was Post and she was Parcel. I'm ashamed at how gullible I am! read more

i'm torn... i want to give this place 5 stars, but it really only deserves 3-4 stars. { service : 3 stars } + if no one is there, then great, service is super fast + they don't nickel and dime you the way the post office does (e.g. charging for packing tape for your box, even if it's just a little piece) - if there is more than one person in line, service is slow, even if there are other people working there - there is one woman who is not very friendly { miscellaneous : 5 stars } + location (my neighborhood) + card selection, i love letter press cards! + they have PO boxes, if you need that type of service + beats standing in line at the post office read more

I mail my packages here and find everyone to be helpful and courteous...It is so much easier to walk down the street than to drive to UPS or the Post Office and have to wait in line. They have a great card selection when I need to send one and cute little gift items too! read more

I'm not sure what I was expecting when I showed up here 10 minutes before closing to ship a snowboard (that needed to be packaged). But what I got was AWESOME customer service! The ladies here were very friendly and accommodating, and even though they didn't have a box to fit the snowboard, they were more than eager to make one. It felt very neighborhoody and reminded me of a little corner store in my hometown (population: 500). While I was here I picked up a few quirky greeting cards and fun gifts...some of which I've decided to keep for myself! read more

P&P carries a great card selection. I always find several cards that would fit the particular event for which I was shopping and usually buy a few extra. While I resent the fact that I find it hard to stick to my budget at P&P, I really like this place and can't hold my own non-restraint against the business. As an added bonus, they carry (very locally made) "Hello Lucky" cards which I think are charming. read more

This review is for mailbox rental, mostly. For some mysterious (no doubt, shady) reason, I moved into an apartment that doesn't get mail; no mail, no way you can rent a USPS mailbox either...catch-22. Post n' parcel *is* more expensive than renting a US PO box, but they are also super personable--I would sometimes call to check if I had mail and they'd be checking my mailbox even as they picked up the phone (they have caller ID--wait, is this getting creepy?) and within a week of renting a mailbox there, they were calling me by name and saying hello when I walked in...very friendly, neighborhood feeling. Their cards and postcards, wrapping papers, and things nobody needs ("gifts") are also really sweet---on the girly side, but very nice. read more

Had the most pleasant experience at Post and Parcel yesterday, while faxing an insurance application. The ladies that work here were super patient and helped me tremendously. They even stayed a bit late to help me out with my faxing drama. Love, love, love the notary service!! I frequently have to send notarized documents overseas at short notice, and the location of this place is super convenient, as I live on Poterero Hill. I also appreciate the fact that this store will accept pre-paid parcels going via USPS, UPS, or FedEx--so great to have a one-stop drop-off location for different carriers. Their selection of quirky, unique greeting cards and stickers is quite appealing, and really convenient for last-minute birthday gifts... Only reason I docked a star is because (as other reviewers have pointed out), their surcharge on both domestic and overseas shipping is rather steep...if you are short on time and don't want to deal with long lines and driving to post office, then the surcharge is worth paying. But otherwise, USPS is much more affordable. read more

I've been getting my mail here for more than 10 years and the new owners (well, not so new now) are terrific. Of course you pay more for postage than you would at the post office -- that's called 'markup' and it's kind of a fundamental of capitalism -- but the service is great. These folks are awesome. I came in at 4:30 to get a lease notarized and drop off 3 boxes of returns. The woman I worked with took care of everything flawlessly and efficiently -- and handled 3-4 other customers at the same time. They provided me tape & scissors to ship the packages. I love this post and parcel! I started coming here to ship packages for my company but now use them for personal reasons as well. The women who work here are a delight and always so friendly! In fact, I came in after they were closed one time (I thought they were open later than 5 for some reason) and they still helped me ship my packages. Some of their products are a little more pricey (like stationary or cards) but nothing extreme and for the great customer service it's worth it! read more

Lynn and the girls at this place are awesome. They are super friendly, they keep it super clean and they are in a good location. I have been traveling and living out of hotels for the past few months and they have been great about housing my mail and signing for my packages when I am not there. Normally places like this get pissy when you leave boxes for too long. Lynn is very gracious and as a business owner she goes the extra mile. I was shocked to see that other people haven't given this place less than 4 stars! I'm sure they are actually one time customers buying a 4$ card and not every day potrero patrons! read more
