The hard-working and patient guys behind the counter are helpful in so many different little ways.... LPH has been a blessing during COVID. So glad to have a box here so that our deliveries aren't stolen and we don't have lines of Amazon or Fedex truck s in front of our house. These guys (and occasionally a gal) continue to impress me. They really get to know their customers, both by name and by preferences. I've seen some complaints about price but they don't set the prices for the carriers! Convenience is unmatched for shipping: you can drop off pre-paid packages for any carrier under the sun, all in one place, and if you're buying postage they can give you a zillion options. They're also great at packing items for shipping. I've come in with some doozies: a golf bag, 80 lbs. of loose legos, you name it, and they always set me up with just the right size box/envelope for a couple bucks which ends up saving money in the long run. read more

I've never been impressed by a shipping shop and never imagined I'd ever be impressed enough to write a glowing review. I walked into LPH with some expectations as both a friend and Yelp had recommended. However, I didn't expect the level of customer service to be THAT amazing. 40 minutes before closing on a Saturday, I came in with a computer that needed to be shipped. Don greeted me enthusiastically and listened as I told him I was moving out of the city and needed to ship this thing. He took into consideration price and found a box to save me packing fees-- something I never expected in a "fancy" neighborhood. I was there while two other women came in to get packages and he was just SO pleasant to them as well. It seems like a real neighborhood place-- a place where nearby residents have post office boxes and a valued place for safe and easy shipping. I was beyond impressed with Don, his friendliness, his helpfulness as pertains to giving me the best cost to save me some money and his efficiency! I was in and out in 15 minutes. Highly recommend! Thanks again to Yelp for finding us a great place to pack and ship important items. Jimmy took terrific care to pack a number of fragile Italian Majolica pottery pieces that are family heirlooms. Ok, so even though this is in a sheeshee part of town, Jimmy and his gang are totally down to earth. I thought the concept of customer service was extinct until I came in to ship off a package recently. Super nice folks who seem to really take pride in their work and in providing superior--and I mean SUPERIOR but not creepy--customer service. Nothing negative about this neighborhood business. We've gone here twice and both times the service has been good. The place is as well-stocked as can be for a small shop. The young guys who work here have been helpful and knowledgeable - none of that eye-rolling attitude copped by some of the other stores in this area when senior citizens take longer with their orders and queries. Some of the shops in this 'hood have been very "unneighborly" but this shipping store has been neighborly. I like this shop. read more
