Came to this nursery while on vacation. They have the most unique plants I have ever seen. I live in central California where it gets in the hundreds so I was kind of hesitant about the plants I just HAD to have. So it's been a year since I bought them and I just wanted to share the photos. This nursery is a MUST GO nursery!! Love you guys!!

    Do you see the iguana?

We were at the Subway across the street when we spotted this nursery. A wide variety of fruit trees, roses, succulents and native California plants are found outside. I was tempted to get the pluot tree, but we just purchased an apricot. We saw kiwi and avocado trees as well. For parents who like to spend time browsing the many plants, there's a cute play area for kids. Inside there is a gift shop with clothing, jewelry, mugs, and stuffed animals. In the air plant section, I found a handy laminated air plant care card! Also, to our surprise, an iguana in a tank! I came away with a beautiful, pink cyclamen! Will visit again soon!

A very friendly and low key place for any of your gardening needs. The employees are all very knowledgeable and can answer your questions about plant type and plant care. Prices are pretty good and very transparent. Truly a gem for gardeners in Santa Cruz

this was the cutest plant nursery ever! was driving on mission street when my friend suddenly saw it on our left next to the valero gas station. it's kind of hidden so i never noticed it until she pointed it out! they've got so many healthy and lovely plants. from gardening vegetables, to herbs, succulents, and dainty little flowers. they also sold the cutest pots and decor. i had to resist from buying everything! if you're really looking for a plant i bet they have something cause this garden was huge. if you just wanna admire their set up i also highly recommend coming here. it's very peaceful and it's nice to interact with some of the locals (: it just gives such friendly vibes! love it here, please check them out!

This is my all time favorite nursery in Santa Cruz. You name it they have it. The selection of plants is wonderful, well taken care. The staff is extremely attentive to whatever you are looking for. They have a great selection of organic vegetable plants. They have unique items too such as wind tunnels of various styles and colors. You can find different sizes of plastic containers if you are transplanting plants or trees. Come check out this amazing nursery.

We had such a wonderful experience buying our Christmas Tree here! The employees were so nice, helpful and attentive. They greeted us the moment we arrived and helped us every step of the way. They would hold up different trees so we could check them out, and discussed in detail how many bottom branches we should cut off and gave them to us so we can (hopefully lol) build a wreath! I am just so grateful for the extra love during this most challenging time for us all. Santa Cruz community thrives in these small local businesses. The heart of the town lives in the people who work there. I hope we can all support one another. And, I hope to pass along this groovy vibe in my own work. Merry Christmas 2020.

Thank you so much for bringing this plant into our lives! We named her Taylor, and she brings so much happiness and positive energy into our home! Undoubtedly a product of the love and care that the Garden co puts into their business.

I was ALL in at that point. Upon entering in, I knew I didn't want to go. They had cute cards you can mail out which I'm so old school I love it. I spent a good 30 minutes trying to find the perfect Santa Cruz card!! I grabbed so many and started narrowing it down and down. I ended up not picking any of them and found a really small unique card I fell in love with which was perfect for the theme I was going for!! This place has so many hidden TREASURES. I was rummaging through everything from vintage games, books, puzzles, trinkets, unique items and the dude found a mermaid shell the actually hatches a mermaid. I knew that was the perfect item to pair with my cute card!! A unique find in Santa Cruz which was awesome. While I was in awe of the store the dude found a Coney cup *insert love emoji eyes* I literally squealed my princess skirt off!! There was no way I was walking out the store without it. I think the dude and I spent about an hour in the store until I realized we had to go pick up my hat that was being done. The line wasn't too long for check out and the owners informed us that they barely put the Coney Line Friends cup out two or three days ago!! Just my luck. I let them know they need BROWN BEAR - CONEY'S true love! So they were pleased that someone bought it. The owners were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Their store made me fall in love with Santa Cruz and make the trip very special! It was clean organized and such unique items you won't find! I highly recommend you come and check it out. Something for everyone!

I mean seriously, did someone read my journal of Favorite Things and create this store just for me?!! L-O-V-E! There is no walking around downtown Santa Cruz without stopping by Botanic and Luxe. I have purchased gifts here as well as framed art (with a locally-made wooden frame) that hangs in my home, and recently attended their anniversary event where they had local vendors serve matcha and desserts, and they provided 20% off the entire store, so naturally I went home with another plant baby. Even though the store was PACKED with customers, they asked me if I needed help twice and also spent time giving me plant care instructions! Botanic is a higher-end plant shop, so expect to see some matching "luxury" prices as well. But people don't usually come here to get the best deal; they come to feel a certain way while they peruse a beautiful shop that sources many items locally, to get a certain level of service, and to be ensured a certain quality of product.
