If you have a mail box there, you can access your box 24/7 via a computerized lock. And, BTW, they have a super collection of greeting cards and last-minute gifts, if needed. I guess cause he couldn't tax the guy for shipping. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I apologized and said I had no idea that it affected their business. He didn't say a word and slammed my box into the bin.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I said hey what's your problem. He got extremely pissy with me and so I said give me my boxes back and I'll take it somewhere else. I don't get the good reviews here. I called ahead and the guy answered the phone. I asked about shipping a package tb Australia. He said ",yeah, we got you.". I told him I was going to go to USPS but that I didn't have everything packed up when I got to USPS. He said to come in and they would create a label for it. I asked about cost as and told him the package dimensions, which was a small box. Went in and he told me it would be $130.00 to mail it. I told him this costs much more than the contents. Warning: In my opinion postal palm springs is inflating thier prices. My experience was that on July 8th I sent ( a friend of mine) to get a quote and possibly mail off a package and the Co Owner Steven proceeded to take items out of the box and repackage them in bubble wrap, he then placed the 2 items and the original box in a bigger box ( at the other Co Owners request not mine) because the 1st owner told the 2nd owner Steven that the items seemed to be to much for the box. Steven then quoted my friend 135.00 price to mail off the new box. I told my friend to leave because the price was to high, he then charged my friend 22.00 for the new bigger box and bubble wrap that I never asked for. On July 9th I went to the post office with the original box it was mailed with no problems for only 29.00. On July 9th I also called the the company to speak to the manager on duty ( the 1st Owner) came to the phone I calmly told him what happened and he was so rude, defending his partner the Co Owner Steven, he told me its people like me that keep calling his company complaining, and asking me "Do I understand how much it takes to run a business"?, and that his electric was 900.00, and that he had to pay the rent and his employees. I'm sorry sir if your bills are high, but you are a business owner, its not easy, but under no circumstances do you yell at your customers, or make us pay high inflated prices to pay for your companies expenses. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I asked for a receipt for the returns I dropped off today, the owner unloaded on me about how the free services he was offering were "killing his payroll"--as if I were responsible for it[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. He said that he makes no money from the Amazon returns--something I did not know. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Even when I told him I thought they made some revenue from the returns, which is why I took them to his store, he continued to vent his anger at me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Normally, I would be willing to overlook someone having a bad day, but his behavior was beyond the pale.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So sadly, I will not be willing to return to his store again. Costumer service is really lacking these days. Case in point. Went and picked up mail today along with a package that I had gotten a delivered notice for. When I asked the woman working up front if she could please get it for me her response was that there's 150 + boxes that are back there and haven't been sorted yet. She wasn't the most pleasant person. Had a sour face and attitude. Mind you no one else was in the store. To me it doesn't matter if there's 350+ boxes. It's your job and I'm a costumer. First of all, let me just say.. I really like these people, I like this business, I like the fact that they will do EVERYTHING, from A to Z, USPS, UPS, FEDEX, DHL blah blah blah. We are talking about a full service operation. Which is hard. I give them serious kudos for this. Now, we are dealing with a resurgence of Covid ( the 2nd wave so they say ), so since this business is compliant in every way possible and doesn't want to get infected themselves, they have established the, "No More than 4 ( four ) people" rule. It's a big sign, right on their door & it's recent. So you walk up, you see the sign, you open the door & look inside and if you see more than 4 customers, then you close that door and either wait in 125 degree heat, OR you go back to your car and wait. This is a NEW LEVEL of Compliance. As we are ALL being as compliant with the rules as possible it is important that people RESPECT the rules of the business establishment no matter how severe it may seem to you. Just giving you a heads up! Stay in your car, but make sure you're in line ! Think they might have to do the "take a number" and wait system like they do with government offices. read more

I'm the caretaker for a severely disabled man who needed to send a parcel to his niece. He called Postal Palm Springs to see if they were open (on New Year's Day). Surprisingly, their phone answering system announced business hours for the day. Upon arriving at at their store, I walked through the open door. When I asked to send a parcel, a man who was working on a store fixture told me angrily that the store was closed for New Year's Day. To write that he was surly would be an understatement! I returned to the store two days later to register a complaint with store management. The person with whom I spoke told me that he couldn't help me. Upon exiting the store, the surly man, a manager, ran after me to explain that they had been having a bad day. At no point did he offer any sort of apology, nor did he take responsibility for his rude behavior. I would employ carrier pigeons before returning to that store! The old owners were friendly; the new ones are not, and they do not deserve anyone's patronage! read more

I came in today to do a few mailings before going home and witnessed the most horrific disrespect of apparently a customer(s) of this place. I don't get packages here, but I often stop in for convenience to mail letters and pick up stamps. As I stood in line, a women of color was asking about a package that she had not received, she seemed worried or so. I watched with my own eyes one of the staff members, totally raise his voice and become completely unglued. Told the young girl, he was closing her box for no reason. I felt so sad for her because she was simply concerned about her package. This man seemed angry and out of professional control for no reason. He embarrassed the young women in front of a store full of people. I think he said his name was Mike or Michael. I wanted to say something, but thought to put up this review. I will not rent a box from them or share this location with others, after witnessing this. I felt bad for the lady-how rude and mean. I was always taught that customers are always right. They were very accommodating and actually had it packed beautifully the same day, even though they thought it would take two days. I called the day before to make sure they understood what I was coming in for and was assured they provided that service. Unfortunately once again, I was abruptly told that they weren't able to provide a very simple procedure. I got in my car and went directly downtown to The UPS Store and was finished with what I needed and for much less cost. Do yourself a favor and avoid Postal Palm Springs.
