I really don't know what the hullabaloo was about here but this made zero sense. I actually called around to multiple UPS stores and asked specifically if they had "air pillows." I was told yes, and that I could get a whole sheet of "air pillows" for a dollar or a couple bucks. That sounded reasonable. Then I come to this location and somehow it's $11 for "air pillows." That is not a small difference. That feels like a completely random, arbitrary price. And just to be clear, I'm not buying "air pillows" for no reason. I'm traveling with two large duffel bags and if you don't fill them out properly they get ripped apart by baggage handlers. These are brand new expedition duffels from Patagonia and The North Face and this is going to be their virgin journey through the system. I'm not about to overpack with heavy items and go overweight just to protect the bags. "Air pillows" are the smart solution. So I knew exactly what I needed and roughly what "air pillows" should cost. We had to return a box that we bought at the UPS Store because we had decided not to ship the item. Returns don't happen too often at the store so Derek, one of the kind workers there, helped us. Their computer system was having issues but he calmly, and repeatedly, tried until he was able to successfully issue us our refund. So I've been there three times this week and, I'm really frustrated with the situation at the Palm Springs UPS store. The air conditioning has been broken, and in this heat, it's absolutely miserable. It's not just uncomfortable--it feels unsafe to stand inside for any amount of time when the temperatures outside are well over 100 degrees. I don't understand how a company of UPS's size could let this go unfixed, especially in a desert city where air conditioning isn't a luxury--it's a necessity. I recently used this UPS Store for live- scan and laminating services. The storefront is not large; but the staff is big on assisting you with getting your business completed. Folks use this store for shipping, mailing, lockbox services, laminating, printing/copying, notary services, etc. A big THANK YOU to Veronica for her patience and friendly attitude while helping me with live-scan and laminating services. I was also happy to see that the staff is enforcing COVID-19 safety protocols and regulations, while efficiently processing the needs of their customers. The woman that works there is the most unhelpful, unqualified counter person I have ever met. I refuse to go there anymore. I went to return an Amazon package per their instructions as I have done 1,000 times before, once again, the clerk said I had to buy a bag or she wouldn't accept it. Mind you, it was perfectly packaged in the box it came in, any other labels were crossed off, etc. I drove to the postal connection next to Stater Brothers and they took it no problem. I was just at the UPS store this morning. I had a large package and they said it was going to be over $325 to ship. They then tried to tell me they had no up charges and if I went to the UPS building and send it there it would be the same price. Well after going to the actual UPS it was $69 to ship. Not only did they blatantly lie to me they continued to say there was no extra charge. Do yourself a favor. Save yourself a ton of money and make the trip to the actual UPS facility. I figured it would be more at the UPS store. But it was almost 5 times more and they lied to me. read more

The print jobs are not reliable and they will miss a deadline. I also experienced VERY poor customer service from a short blonde-haired woman. Story: I scheduled a print job Saturday night - it told me it would be done Monday by 2PM. Odd, since the place is open on Sunday. But I schedule the appt for which I need these documents for 330 Monday. 230 Monday I come in. No one's heard of my print job. After looking, Blonde says she sees it, then says nothing else to me. She's affixing labels to packages, texting on her phone... I break in to ask what the ETA is. She says she doesnt know. The manager went home sick and she's not sure if he printed it. "Can you print it again? I'm on a deadline," I say. "That would cost us money if it's already been printed!" Blonde scoffs. I guess it escaped her that they missed a promised deadline, and that any failure to complete a contracted job or any disorganization that prevents the delivery of that job to the paying customer is...YOUR FAULT. You could've saved that money by...gasp!...completing my order on time, no? So there's no ETA, and I can't get a reprint. "Print it now or refund me," I tell her. "What would be the point of that if it's printed?" she whines. "Because I have an appointment, now," I tell her. I repeat my demand to print or refund. "Fine! We'll refund!" she says in exasperation. So, if it's been printed, you lost the same amount either way. One path led to you being a witch and me coming back in there like fire if I don't actually get a refund. The other path led to you making amends for your company's failure and satisfying a customer. Choice made. I'll be taking to corporate. And if I don't see my refund I'll see you soon. UPDATE: The below reply from customer service exemplifies perfectly the stupidity and argumentative nature of this branch, and sounds like it may even be from Blonde herself. Not one iota of responsibility or acknowledgement for how the situation could've been handled better from their side -- just a recap of what I described with an added negative characterization of me to make me the bad guy for not being sympathetic enough to the incompetent guy. You never apologized once, at any point to me in the store, so I don't know who this "again, we apologize" is for. No solution was offered to me at any time by the associate other than stand there and wait indefinitely for...? (No one seems to know) -- and me pushing back on the patent ridiculousness of that = I "became increasingly angry and impatient." Bitch, please. You didn't have my stuff, had no plan to get my stuff, offered me no plan to get my stuff, had no reaction to the urgency I stated, and clapped back at me time and again when I tried to get your ass to do something other than send texts into oblivion to a sick manager. If the print job isn't in my hand, you don't have it. You need a text to tell you that? What assistance/solution for your disorganization was offered from your side? Had I patiently stood in the corner and said nothing while waiting for you to....? What would have happened? (And why wasn't I informed at the time of a plan? Again, offering a solution might have quelled my "impatience", no? You honestly don't think you earned an impatient response?) Outrageous, that below response. They're not much for thinking here. This was 100% a situation created by failure, disorganization, and lack of CS training from YOUR side, and don't let anybody including yourself convince you any differently, because I'm here, telling you it was. Staples did the same job over $10 cheaper even with the rush fee, so nobody should go here for this "service" they offer, don't complete and then blame you for not being cheerful enough while they do nothing. -- Hehe. Also updating that in a sea of positive comments for this location, the negative comments often seem to have a certain short-haired female argumentative star. I use them exclusively because of their amazing staff people like Gene who is "an oracle" with getting things created! Veronica is so kind and lovely and makes sure she says hello and has great fashion sense...even in a simple UPS shirt...just saying! An Airbnb guest accidentally left a jewelry vault with ammunition inside at my home. I went to the UPS Store and asked if they are able to ship it. They said that they are not. I simply said "ok" when all of a sudden a woman behind the counter with short hair started screaming at me about how my ammunition made her uncomfortable. I reminded her that I was simply asking if they were able to ship it. She continued screaming at me. I asked her name and she replied "I don't have to tell you my name, I'm an owner here". I said ok and walked out. She continued her yelling as I left. I'm not sure what upset this woman so much, but she was very combative. read more

I have been there many many times and have had nice people help me today I went in at 11 PM and encountered two of the most self-absorbed, rude unpleasant people I have ever met. The store was empty. The two were very young people.(I am guessing they are millennials) I needed help with my return package. They would not give me any kind of help whatsoever. When I asked for help more than once one of the time they got up and left the station Selinas certain point I was in an empty store sitting alone with the two of them spread out, pretending to be doing some thing. I have used this store twice for Amazon returns. Neither item made it back to Amazon and I never received my credits for these 2 returns. I checked the UPS tracking number of the last one done on 11/15/2022. Now it is 01/07/2023 - and UPS shows the shipping label and active tracking number but the item has NOT shipped. It was a empty bottle of bubble bath that when received was drained due to a broken bottle. I had to return the busted bottle to receive my refund from Amazon. Obviously, this store simply chose to throw the bottle away instead of shipping it. DON'T use this store. Completely incompetent. read more

I am always a happy and positive guy but I got the absolute worst customer service ever today. Usually this place is fine but they must go through a lot of employees because there is always a different person there. Today was a big wow. I am handicap and today they made customers drive around the back of their building because of a stuck roller door up front, ok fine. But after some pretty crap service, they would not let us exit through the back where our cars were because they opened the roller door. So I had to make my way around the block to my car. I could have gone 15 feet to my car through the back. All I got was a snarky and obviously insincere "sorry and you have a great day"comment.
