The staff here is very helpful & can help with shipping all kinds of items. They ship for Austin Auction House, so they know what they are doing! I have frequented this loction for over 6 months on a weekly basis, and they have helped me with international shipping as well as shipping materials. Gabe usually manages the front area, but Ian & several women have always been helpful as well. They treat all customers very well whenever I have been there. They are friendly & ready to help. I had a delicate item to mail and found the whole process very easy. The staff person helped me find a box, carefully wrapped the item in bubble wrap, and packaged my item for shipping. She let me know what the price options were for the different carriers. Overall, the whole transaction only took a few minutes, and I appreciated the ease of the whole process. Not impressed with these people including the owner. I brought in some documents and a check to be mailed to an address I had given them when they punched in the address a suite # came up I immediately told the young lady that their was no suite # and she insisted their was, I made the mistake of trusting her and now my package is 5 days late and still hasn't arrived yet. I called and they said that since I signed of on it their nothing their going to do, even though I objected about the suite # being added. bad attitude on the owners part. I pass this place all the time, but never paid attention to it. I usually go to a UPS store, but this place is closer to my home. I needed to return an item that I purchased online. I walked in and was greeted by the cashier. I was the only person in the store and the cashier was the only person working. The cashier assisted me until the company phone rung. I waited for at least five minutes while the cashier assisted the customer on the phone. The cashier was getting flustered because the customer on the phone wouldn't hang up, lol. Two more customers entered the store while the cashier was on the phone. After ten minutes, I finally was able to complete my transaction! I thought that in person customers were assisted first?! read more

The guy that was in the shop about a week before Christmas was pretty lax in doing anything not to mention a bit of a stick in the mud. Bad attitude, rough demeanor, and just all around negative kind of guy. I made a mistake on my Christmas cards, because I literally haven't mailed anything to anyone in over a decade, by having my addresses in the wrong spot. Easy fix if caught right? This guy goes through each and every one of them and just says "going to the same city?" To which I pretty confusingly replied, "uh, no, some are to Alabama, some to Michigan, and some to Colorado." His reply was simply "okay." No big deal right? No. There was a mistake on the addresses being in the wrong spots. All he had to do was hand them back to me and say "you may want to correct this then," but he didn't say a word. He just rung me up, slapped stamps on them and sent me on my way. 3 days later I go check my mail for my own stuff and there are all my Christmas cards for my family and my realization of the mistake that was made. This guy could have saved me both time and money by being polite and offering customer service that was worthwhile, but instead he ruined the chance I had to get Christmas cards to my family on time and he did it without even batting an eye. I'll definitely not be back here, and I sincerely hope this place brushes up on its staff's customer service. read more

Hey, you know what's fun? Standing in this store for over 20 mins, no not in line, in fact damn near the only person there. I went in for a passport photo, but I guess an actual customer was lower on the guys list than packing up, sealing, measuring and then taking everything out and doing it again. Not even kidding. He completely ignored me, well for the 20 plus minutes after "you'll have to wait, I gotta do this first" Only reason they got a 2 vrs a 1 star was the only other time I went I there, the lady was actually helpful. Must be new owners. The front door was open and I could just see a woman through the doors of the storage room. She was talking to a man, who looked like he was from the next door barbecue place. He was standing just outside the back door. It looked like they both were tearing down and flattening boxes, while talking to one another. I waited five to ten minutes before the man pointed to me and the woman came to speak to me. When I started to explain what I needed she interrupted me, and although she could provide notary services, she said she could not help me because I had already signed the document. I tried to show her my military id and Texas Driver's License, but she interrupted me again, repeating what she said before. I then tried to tell her I would sign it again if need be but before I finished saying so she interrupted me again. By this time I had had enough. This time I interrupted her and told her that it was obvious she did not wish to help me and that I would find another postal service to help me. read more

BIGOTS AND RACISTS! I called and asked them if they would notarize a document in Spanish. The guy that answered, James, told me that only in English, "otherwise it is profanity to me". (I am pretty sure this is the same guy that told me to go somewhere else if I found the postage too expensive...) I did speak with his manager, Michelle, and the owner, Matt, who told me that it was a "joke" what James said. "An attempt to be humorous " were his exact words. Well, it was not a joke to me! I was charged $3.00 to print out two USPS labels that I mailed at their location. I didn't have cash so he charged me an extra .50 to take a credit card. I wish he would have told me about their completely unreasonable prices before he did the printing. He wouldn't let me get the packages back and go to another location with out paying for the printing. Very unsatisfied. $2 to print a single label that was used to ship a package at their location!!!!! WOW!!! I can't even imagine how expensive their other services are. read more

It's so nice to have a one-stop shop for all your postal needs. I sell a lot of items online and therefore, I need to ship out merchandise at least once a week. I love coming to The Postal Annex because you can ship through FedEx, UPS or USPS. Every time I go in, everyone that I encounter has always been so helpful and friendly. I had to have something notarized... who does that anymore?!?! this place. We called ahead to make sure they were open and the notary was there. He was about to leave in 15 minutes. They said they would wait for us. That's pretty cool. extra star for that. i got something notarized, a copy of the document and sent it registered mail to it's destination and it was 10 bucks. i don't really know if that is overpriced or not. My wife and I have been using the Postal Annex (it's a business, not related to the US Post Office) for a couple of years now. We both have our own home based business and have found their services to be very valuable and convenient. I have all of my packages delivered there; we both do most of our shipping and small copy jobs with them. Their staff is friendly, courteous, and very willing to provide the extra customer service touch that makes it a pleasure to do business with them. The main benefit to the package delivery is I am assured my expensive photo prints (I'm a portrait photographer) won't sit on my door step where they could be stolen or rained on! I would recommend them highly for anyone that works from home or who is willing to pay a reasonable premium to not have to go to the post office! read more

I requested quotes from several shippers and this Postal Annex location was not only the lowest price but also quoted the shortest delivery time. I then called them and spoke with Rhonda to learn more about their process. She was great! She answered all of my questions and took time in explaining the process. I moved forward with using them and am really glad I did. Rhonda and James kept me updated on each stage of the pickup, pack and ship. NEVER EVER GO HERE!!!!!! Michelle is horrible horrible horrible. She charged the customer in front of me for the person before her shipping costs because it was still up on the screen what?! take your time this is important . thats right your receipt needs to be checked because you could be paying for other peoples stuff in line great right?! I was terrified. I found this out when I was done with my transaction and I knew I was screwed im sending some medical documents that are orginals and i have a pdf back up but they are hard to replace Im sooo stressed I knew I shouldnt have gone there ooooh im soo mad. I asked for tracking as this is a super important package being sent to vets office. went home and found no tracking number on my receipt I was livid so I called and right then and there I thought i should ask to hold the package back so I could retrieve for refund but I didnt and I regret it to the moon and back. They gave me the tracking number over the phone and assured me that it is on the package itself Im super unsure if they are even telling me the truth so scary. Also they ran out of stamps during christmas I got the last one thankfully but really really its the biggest shipping holiday of the year christmas!!!!!!!! . Never going back!!!!!!!!!!!! the UPS store on mopac sooo much better hate this place. I was able to retrieve one of my packages which is an amazon return thats right I wouldnt even trust them to return a pre labeled package to amazon they are that terrible!!!!!!!! the tracking number they gave me is active so im hoping and praying my very important envelope arrives and this should never ever happpen!!!!!!!!!!!! . I came into this store for the first time the other day regarding a mailbox and received exemplary service and wanted to report that here. Kevin was the one who helped me and he couldn't have been more personable and courteous. He even went the extra mile for me with my particular situation. Kevin was the same way with the customer in front of me and with who came after me as well. In fact, the customer before me seemed to be short a few cents on her transaction and he politely let it go. This is the way I want to be treated when entering an establishment. I shipped with them for over a year with no problems, until on one shipment they lost over $300 worth of merchandise (a week before Christmas). I ended up having to refund money to very angry buyers. I also could not open an insurance claim because they refuse to scan incoming mail (so I had no proof that I actually shipped the items) I didn't use them for over a year after that until in an emergency I shipped several packages with them again in early April 2015. One of the packages (a $230 item) again disappeared. So all together they have cost me over $500. They are incompetent and are either loosing, or more likely stealing large ticket items when they find them. read more

I had the worst experience at this location. My son needed his science fair documents printed and it was too late at our usual store. So I emailed this location and called to be sure the message was understood. He did not even open the email before I got there. Then he was absolutely unable to follow directions- he printed the wrong packets in color and then still charged me for the color prices. My husband had to print it himself at work to get it printed properly. And the worker was not even apologetic. I did not feel like my business mattered to him and he did not care if I came back. I will return to my typical printing place and leave this one alone. Printing a science fair project should not cost $20. This is easily 3 times what I could pay elsewhere. read more

I'm not going to write a long review about Postal Annex. There are only two things you really need to know about this place. First, if you live in the neighborhood, they are convenient. You can generally be in and out in two minutes flat. Second, they charge a high premium for this convenience. No exaggeration, they generally charge two to three times as much as you'd pay just going to the USPS office. I still use them on occasion, but only if I absolutely need to. There is a contract USPS station near 183 & Anderson Mill that is usually quick and charges the proper postal rates, so they get most of my business these days. read more

They do not take responsibility if the mail was delivered after 3 weeks instead of 3 business days. By the time my documents were mailed it was too late. And I paid extra in order package to get to the destination faster. When I asked for refund, Mr.Bond explained to me that it is against company's policy. Otherwise he is very helpful and pleasant employee. I will never use this postal services again. And I do not recommend it to others. read more

There's usually not a long wait, and I can get in and out pretty quickly (a lot faster than the post office, that's for sure!) I've used their shipping services, as well as their printing services. For the convenience, the price is fair, and they will usually help you find the best service to accommodate you. The owner is really nice, and can be seen helping out frequently.
