I have had a mailbox at this location for 8 years +. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I'm almost always greeted with a smile and asked how I am doing! They notify me when I get a package, almost immediately which is super helpful for my business. I have renewed my passport photos through them as well & it's quick which I love. I renewed my passport there and it only took 15 minutes including filling out the forms, picture taken and postage paid express envelope in my hands! All I had to do was write a check and mail the envelope-way better than waiting inline at the post office and hoping to get an appointment. About two years ago I wrote a glowing review of this Postal Annex. I've been back a couple of times recently, and need to revise my review to say something different. Businesses like this are almost entirely dependent on the quality of their staff. The people who staffed it two years ago were great. The people who staff it now are not great. They don't seem to know anything and they don't know how to relate to customers. The person with the notary license only works on Saturdays. They weren't open at posted hours. I promise you that it really used to be good. Not that it matters how it used to be. Today I suggest you go somewhere else. read more

Don't go here!! I had a time sensitive package I needed to send by Thursday so online it said their hours were until 6pm, I arrived Wednesday at 5:15pm and they were closed. They had a temporary hours that meant they were only open until 5pm. Okay fine. I show up Thursday morning at 10am (WELL within their temporary hours of 9am-5pm) and they're CLOSED. Lights off, door locked. Are you kidding me? Luckily I was able to go to the other FedEx drop off down the street but this business might as well be closed for good if you can't function in normal business hours. read more

I went to purchase two booklet of stamps and after the payment transaction went through realized the increased cost compared to the postal service. So immediately I requested to reverse the transaction and returned the stamps. I was given a return receipt showing that $38 should be going back into my account, however, after waiting 16 days this return was never processed. I called the shop three times and was given an apology then instructed to send an email with the photo of the original receipt so the shopkeeper coujd have his bank process the refund ASAP. Several more days pass and still no refund was issued. Beware of empty promises and fraudulent return receipts. In the end my credit card company filed a dispute for the charges. All this for $38 is a complete waste of time and energy. This store is not to be trusted. Take your business elsewhere. read more

I was waiting very patiently for a receipt for five FedEx packages that I had dropped off and she pretty much scolded me and said I already have the tracking numbers as if giving me proof of drop off receipt was inconveniencing her. First and last time going to this place. I Tried to go into the postal annex to make a copy and scan a paper I'm grading to myself and the sign said open and the door was unlocked. 3:02. The young lady said hi we are closed. We close at 3:00 today. Not even an apology. Not even trying to see what I needed. It felt rude. I walked out the door and then a lady that was inside with her walked out and then she came out, locked the door it left the open sign in and flashing and they got into the truck and drove off. I have popped into this particular Postal Annex several times since they have opened and every time I walk out having to go somewhere else and frustrated. During holiday season they couldn't accept Fed Ex or Pre paid UPS boxes...what? I only ever have Pre Paid boxes to return. So today I went in with a Pre Paid USPS box, it was all ready to go. The girl informs that they can accept it but if it is over 1 pound they have to charge me...again, what?!? It was going to be $2.00. Keep in mind it's not the money, it's the principle. Maybe if they didn't have 5 people working (standing around) on a Wednesday morning they might not need to charge for a drop off! I will absolutely never be back here and strongly suggest people drive the extra miles to a more reputable establishment and avoid walking into this store!!! read more

Do negative stars exist? These clowns charge you to drop off USPS packages!! Yes, they charge for service that is FREE. I can only imagine how much they screw customers who for unknown to anyone reason would decide to ship there. Most probably 2-3 times the retail rate of USPS, UPS or FedEx. Save your time, drive across the street to UPS or USPS. Day and night difference in service level. read more

I only wish I read the reviews sooner before I took a chance to leave them with an expensive "Back to Sender" box. My gut feeling told me to at least take a picture of the box with the lady at the desk who said they don't offer a tracking number unless I go to the post office. I was on my to go on a road trip and had a car full of people waiting so trusted nothing would go wrong. I had no time to run to an official post office which postal annex is NOT. Well a month goes by and the company that the box was supposed to get returned to claims they still haven't received the return and can't refund me the amount till they do. I go back to the postal annex and she remembered me and can only tell me that as far as she knows the mail service came by to pick it up. The mystery remains is that the post office is 100 percent convinced they never received it or they would have scanned it in their system as soon as it got on their truck. I call the postal annex owner who said he looked around and doesn't see the parcel anywhere in his store but trusts his employees. i point out that this isn't the first time that i read this happens in his location and he simply apologized and said there's nothing more he can do . I just wanted to drop off a box to mail that was already prepaid with a label. The lady behind the counter informed me that they can only accept items under 13oz for the post office. If this is the case I do not see much purpose for these stores unless you want to buy an overpriced knick knack. read more

I use this Postal Annex on a regular basis and they are always efficient, kind, and helpful. I'm usually dropping off packages that already have postage and they always have people doing that just leave them up front so they can skip the wait if they're helping someone else. When I have needed other services they are always helpful and find the best price possible. read more

I've always had good service here. Truthfully, I don't ask for much and know their limitations as far as USPS, but I've entered and exited in the same pleasant mood whenever I choose to visit their shop, usually for a quick Amazon return dropoff. They also have plenty of cute mugs, plaques, etc with loving our inspirational phrases. read more

Tried to do business there several times. Every time I reminded why I can't do it there. Not my business to judge what they sell in the store. To each his/her own. I have counted COUNTED every time I have been in there, they say: "They (who is they??) are making us charge to drop off...2 dollars if your package is more than 13 oz." We needed documents notarized and showed up there at 2:45pm on Saturday and the woman working there said, ugh we close at 3pm, how many documents do you have to notarize, she said 1? I said no, more than 4 and she said ugh we close at 3pm, I stop notarizing at 2:30pm. I mean, really!!!!!!! How long does it take to sign a few documents!!!! You guys close at 3pm meaning services should not stop at 2:30pm. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN! I have used Postal Annex to send prepaid UPS packages twice and never had a problem. Quick in and out. They do try a bit to get you to buy something in their overpacked store, but other than that small annoyance, this place works fine for me. Went there today to make a copy of a 40 year old blueprint. The female employee was sitting down with a guy that might have been her boyfriend and was slow to stand up to acknowledge me. My blueprint was almost exactly twice the size of the copier scanning area and could have easily been copied one half at a time. I tried to communicate that to the attendant but she wouldn't listen. She had me wait five minutes while she tried to see if it would fit, even though I'd told her it wouldn't. I reiterated the concept of copying one half at a time but it seemed beyond her. When I tried to show her by stepping towards the machine, she was very firm that customers were not allowed to touch the machine so I futilely tried to use my words to explain what I wanted. She finally seemed to get it but started to fold up my original document to make it fit. When I asked her to not create it she seemed offended. I explained that you could make a copy with paper extending out beyond the scanner area but again, she disagreed and refused to try. In the end she referred me to FedEx, which was helpful, but I could have had my needs met there. If the attendant has a learning disability I guess I'll feel bad about writing this negative post, but most likely she hates customers and hates her boss. I recommend the store look hard at the attitudes of their staff. read more

I had to pay a fee that I was not aware of for them to access the internet for them to print my shipping label. That is absolutely ridiculous. I understand the fee to print something, that makes sense but a fee for them to access the internet!! Two ladies refused to take it saying it doesn't have enough stamps... Huh??? No words. After telling them that package is PREPAID with FedEx label, they still could not get understand. FedEx doesn't take USPS stamps, two different companies.... and package already had a prepaid label. I CANCELLED my rental box with them because how ridiculous this place is. read more

I went in for a passport correction and explained to the woman working there my situation 3-4 times. I continually had to correct her on the process, thankfully having thoroughly researched everything after they misprinted my birthday. She was going to have me send a check for $170 and charge me an additional $60 for passport services. When I asked her what all the money was for since the website said passport corrections were free (again told her it was a correction), she only then told me I had to go to a post office to get this done. It was such a waste of time and if I hadn't said anything I would have been out over $200 because of her negligence. read more

I have come to this location a few times before and was satisfied with the service, hence the 3 stars... but today was a different story and I would have given 1 star for today's visit. I walked in and there was already one customer waiting at the counter, and her comment to me made it clear she had been waiting for some time already. I stood there for almost 5 minutes before the older lady working looked up from paperwork she was filling out with someone behind the counter to finally walk over and help the woman in front of me. That took at least another 5-7 minutes. Then it was my turn and I had used a USPS flat rate box to package my item because it's what I had available at home. The woman told me I needed to go to the Post Office, but I informed her that I wanted to see how much it would be to ship it through PostalAnnex since it's a 1 minute drive to my house as opposed to the 10 minute drive to the Post Office. While she tried to figure out the postage for another few minutes I looked on my phone and found out I could mail it from the post office for $6-12. She told me it would cost $18. I took my package and mailed it from the post office. She was nice enough but didn't seem to have enough training or knowledge to provide the help/service I needed. This was a very disappointing experience. I hope she can receive more training, or have a coworker with her who has a better grasp on shipping rates and options. read more

This place is outrageous. On two occasions, I went in to ship out medium-large packages. One was to be a gift which I just waited until I saw the person instead of paying $90 that they quoted me. The other was an item I sold. Medium sized box and bubble wrap was all I needed, not overnight or anything fancy.. just asked to have a tracking number. The lady gave me the first option of $134 and it would get there midweek. Um... are you kidding?! How is that even a quote for a small-medium sized package? They then said the other option would be $48. I noped out of there and went to USPS and shipped my package with priority mail for $16 with signature required and tracking number. WHATEVER YOU DO, DONT USE POSTAL ANNEX!!!I never take time out of my day to write a bad review, but after my experience here it is a MUST! I mailed my passport renewal through this postal annex and come to find they mailed my passport to my old address! Even after specifically telling them I had moved and need it expedited to my new address. I paid $170 dollars to get it in 2 weeks and still have not received it.
