The owner/operator of this bookstore told my mother that "she wouldn't let anyone use their credit-- she wouldn't make any money that way!!" and so my mother, being a very polite person who hates to make a fuss, left in shock. Needless to say, my mother does not go to this store anymore-- and we tell everyone we know in the area to avoid it like the plague!! In summary: if you like to have someone steal your books, bark at you as your browsing the books on the shelf, and just generally have an awful shopping experience, by all means, go to Barney's Books. Otherwise, try one of the other nice used book stores in Conway and call it a day.
