I haven't had a problem shipping anything from here yet. As long as it isn't a large package. What I have had a problem with is their "Livescan" service. Online it lists that they provide this service well until some time in the evening. I checked online before I went, but when I went the older lady who works there said the guy who does them went home at 2pm. At LEAST a couple hours before it said online. The lady called the guy and asked when he'd be in the next day and so I came in 30 minutes from said time. Again... The lady said he went home early because he wasn't feeling well. On top of that I had asked the woman in effort to be polite "Is the gentleman who does the livescans in today?" And her first response was "He's a man." I don't see why she thought it was appropriate to say that. Don't bother coming here for livescans. read more

Place is a rip off. If you have the time, go to the regular post office ! I came here once prior to today's visit and all I recall is the older lady helping me was extremely rude. I had to mail a pair of shoes locally and it was 11$ regular mail ... plus the box $3. I went to ship the same pair of shoes to another state last week priority mail (at the post office) and it was $13. The person at the post office told me I could pay 7$ for another size box and priority but I declined that time (the person buying the shoes paid the fee that time). I really don't even think it was worth me saving 3 min to go to post office on main. If you have a chance, do not go here!!!!!!....... The person helping me today was profesional but I asked why it was so $$$ and she said something along the lines of being "more of a convenience" compared to the post office. Ugh. I feel ripped off. I had a PMB box with this Postal Annex a few years ago and never had any problems and they were always friendly. The reason I am writing this now is because I had an issue come up from Riverside County taxes and the only way I could get it cleared was by proving my PMB box service was discontinued and I never received the tax bills, so I called and Marina was very helpful and willing to help resolve my issue by sending me a letter within 10 minutes. Thank you Marina for helping to turn my bad day into a more positive one by your willingness to help and your genuine kindness. You guys rock! read more

NOTE: Flat Rate U.S. Post Office shipments are surcharged approximately 40% extra to mail from their location. I phoned prior to sending my daughter inquiring regarding Flat Rate shipments - they acted as if they received them in the same way as the Post Office. This seems a little deceptive. I wouldn't go there again for any type of shipping needs. Not a great way to do business! They should have given me the heads up regarding their surcharge and let me decide if the convenience of going there was worth the price!!! I might have paid it anyway! I've been going to this location for 12 years . Some complain because the upcharge however it's a business , the don't make a profit if they charge the same for a stamp as the post office . It's close by and much friendlier than our local US Postal Office . They often help package my items and don't charge extra for using their tape etc . read more

My son and I went to Corona's Postal Annex this morning. There were 7 people in line and 1.5 employees. The older female employee was so flustered, "in way over her head" - after 25 mins of waiting, it was my son's turn for his passport pic. The woman told me I would have to continue to wait as they were doing fingerprints on 3 more people, and the fingerprint machine was in close proximity to the camera. I suggested a picture only took 10 seconds, did I really need to wait on fingerprints (which the woman could not do). The owner overheard and said he could help out. After taking the picture, they asked us to wait. After waiting 10 more minutes. I politely asked, "Is the picture going to be ready soon or should I come back?" Owner said to my son, "Is she always this pushy?" I think smoke started shooting out my ears. He then gave me the pic 5 mins later... I made a comment to my son quietly about his hair. Owner to my son "Can you ever please your mom?" Again I said nothing. I was polite, took my turn, and did not remark when insulted. I did not deserve to be treated so rudely. I won't be going back there again!! P.S. While waiting for the pic, the businessman behind me was there for the notary. The woman tells him, The notary is not here now." He mentioned he had called right before he came in to confirm notary service was available. Woman, "Sorry they went home sick". He was Pissed!!! He had a few choice words.. read more

A few days ago I needed to mail a flat rate envelope, so I went to Postal Annex since it was the closest postal location to me at the time. When I entered the establishment, I had to wait for about ten minutes to be assisted. When it was finally my turn, I informed the employee, Shirley, that I would like to mail my parcel at the cheapest rate that included tracking. She told me that would be $2. I gave her the money. She proceeded to print out a receipt. I checked the receipt, no tracking number. I showed this to Shirley, and she proceeded to give me snarky responses, heavy sighs, eye-rolls, and was complaining about how "this wasn't her day." Don't b**** at me when it was your fault that you didn't include the tracking number in the first place lady! She then told me that tracking would be $10. I really wanted to leave since that is REALLY expensive for a tracking number for a tiny package, but I paid for it in fear of her blowing up on me. As she adhered the label to my envelope, she was giving me more snarky comments. I was so happy to leave. I got in my car, checked the receipt, and low and behold, the tracking number field on the receipt was blank! I walked back in, informed her of her mistake, and after another heavy sigh and eye-roll, she wouldn't even write the number down for me. I finally got the number and left. Today, three days later, my package still does not appear in the postal service's online tracking. Looks like I will have to have another encounter with this lovely human creature.
