This PostalAnnex is literally down the street from me and I've been going here for a couple of years now and I'm finally here to write a review that is well deserved! I actually love coming in because I love joking with the owner and he loves throwing it back at me and it's fun banter that I look forward to every time I come in. From the moment I walked into PostalAnnex, I was met with warmth and a readiness to assist from multiple staff members. I've done basic mailing and shipping at this location, but today I had to print and fax some important documents. I can't remember the last time I faxed something or the requirements, but the staff was patient and took the time to explain everything to me. The customer service representative not only answered all my questions but went above and beyond by giving me recommendations that ended up saving me both time and money. I truly appreciated the personal touch, something that's becoming rare these days. In this fast-paced world, where everything feels so automated, it was refreshing to have such a personal and genuine experience. I had a package coming in from overseas and it was held up for the last 3 days by DHL, past its original delivery date. Every day that passed, I grew increasingly anxious. You see, I am set to leave the country this evening. I asked for DHL to divert the package to this PostalAnnex+ location in hopes I'd be able to pick it up from here. But DHL didn't even let me know that it had been delivered to here. The long-winded preface is all to say that I was 100% freaking the heck out, hardcore. I needed this package, as it was the gift for 9 people in a bachelor party. It would mean a lot to so many people, and I was about to leave the country without it. I called this PostalAnnex+ at 4:58pm asking them to confirm they received the package, and told them I was on my way to pick it up. To my absolute shock and horror, the employee working told me that they close at 5:00pm, not 6:00pm. This sent me into a panic attack. I practically begged the employee to stay. I knew I was asking him for a lot. I was asking him to stay an extra 20-25min, unpaid, past his closing time. This employee, an absolute angel, must have sensed the desperation in my voice. He relented, and said he'd wait 15 minutes. What followed next was 25 minutes of the most extreme, adrenaline-fueled drive of my life. It was peak rush hour, and traffic was really bad. At that the 20 minute mark, I said to myself "I really can't blame him if I get there and he's already gone". Fast forwarding, I raced into the nearest parking spot to the store and flew out of the car. The store was dark and I couldn't see anyone inside. But suddenly, a miracle--the employee appeared at the door and opened it to let me in. I almost cried. I offered him a big monetary tip, I was so thankful. I wanted to show my appreciation somehow. He refused, and said he didn't do it for the money. I promised to post favorable reviews on Google and Yelp and I asked for his name so I could mention him. He also refused to be mentioned by name, opting to just give credit to the store. This man is an absolute saint. What he did for me was incredibly noble. He didn't have to, but he went out of his way to be kind. This store will forever have my vote and my business and I will be coming here for all my package and shipping needs. I was unable to pick up my package that I was counting on having today because they weren't open during their business hours for whatever reason. Edit to reply: So why were the doors locked and all the lights off during the business hours stated? This is a cop out. LiveScan Made an appointment for a Livescan fingerprinting for my daughter. Price showed $25+ government fees. She was Charged $55 for the Livescan which is the most expensive in all of San Diego County per the list I was emailed afterwards as to why she was charged so much. Unfortunately she didn't know that the average price is $25 to $30 and she should have refused and went elsewhere. She was also asked to leave a tip, which she felt guilted into give one. read more
