This is my first review, which if you read, you'll see why I'm writing it. On 4/15/2026 I updated…read moremy auto-pay method for my waste/recycling services, and, following the explicit instructions on the site, paid in the moment my service balance of $197.57. Then, the next day, my previous method of payment, which was removed from my account online, was also charged $197.57. I called Republic Services requesting a refund for the double payment. Initially they suggested I keep the amount on my account for my next bill, in 3 months. I politely declined. They noted needing to send me a check as a refund, since I paid via bank account, and that it would take 2 weeks to receive my check. Not ideal, and if I wasn't fortunate enough to not need the amount immediately, it would have been a big deal. It wasn't, until I received a check for the amount of $148.00. I've since called 4 times. Initially I was told to expect a check of the difference the next day. Needless to say, it did not arrive. Yesterday I called and asked to speak to a supervisor, was told they were all in a meeting and that I would be called back in an hour. I received no such call. I called today, was able to speak to a supervisor after a lengthy wait, and still, no one is able to tell me where the owed difference is, or why I was not refunded in entirety. Attempts at "this fee or that fee" were met with my ability to do simple math, and not being talked over or around as I reviewed the invoices live. I was now told to wait 3 more days while they look into it, and that I would need to call them back. Additionally, I am still being asked to pay the upcoming invoice for a yard waste container removal (which I cancelled and they still tried to charge me for), even though they have nearly the full amount of that fee "somewhere." I was told I cannot cancel immediately, that I would have to wait until the end of the month. I've filed a complaint with the BBB, as likely many others have, and rightfully so.

Words cannot describe what poor service this company provides. I tried for weeks to get into…read morecontact with them to service two units that they previously installed that were outside of warranty. After weeks of calling they finally decided to provide a quote. When I received the quote it stated I had to put $60,000 down so the company could purchase the pumps and materials needed to fix the units. I thought this was reasonable and provided a check in hopes to spark the company to begin moving on the process. Weeks again passed and I had to call again to ask for an update and was told the person I needed to speak to was on vacation and I would receive a call the following Monday. The following week passed and I never received a call. I called to ask for an update and was told no updates were available at this time. I'm now in the process of contacting the president of the company to hopefully achieve resolve of getting the units installed. Also, the person who provided a 5 star rating in the previous review is an employee of the company (Keith Bailey) and has been my contact through this process. I will say he does answer his phone but continues to provide the run around. I will update this post as things play out. Good luck if you try to use them!!

They spill garbage often and 2 weeks ago there was a huge pile of excrement at the end of our driveway - there was garbage embedded in this. I called the office to complain and the woman said she would have her supervisor call me - he/she never did call. If this continues, I will definitely cancel the service. There are plenty of competitors.
