I have used Ames for 11 years now. Anytime I have need for something that is too big to fit in the disposable can, I give Ames a call and my item is picked up. I find their service as dependable, courteous and customer service oriented. I like my cans clean, so weather permitted, I clean them each week after pickup day. read more

We have had Ames disposal service for about 30 years and have been fairly satisfied until recently. They have destroyed one of my own garbage cans, and have left my can strewn about, and have broken the lid. They spill garbage often and 2 weeks ago there was a huge pile of excrement at the end of our driveway - there was garbage embedded in this. I called the office to complain and the woman said she would have her supervisor call me - he/she never did call. If this continues, I will definitely cancel the service. Have always had good service from Ames disposal. They have always been friendly & accommodating whenever I call

Ames has been nothing but a hassle to us from the beginning. Since the beginning of our service there were two instances where our garbage wasn't picked up. The first two times I called I encountered the great misfortune of having to speak with a very rude receptionist who proceeded to tell me that our garbage was not being picked up because of a new driver and not knowing that our house was on the list. This was a situation I could understand. The third time our garbage wasn't picked up I was told our garbage did not make it to the street in time, which I can understand as well. This time it was our fault. However, This time I was greeted with the same rudeness that I always get from the receptionist at Ames and was told that now this is the third time according to her notes that we've called to have our garbage picked up because we didn't have it out in time. Not only is the receptionist rude, she is a liar and her notes do not accurately reflect the mistakes their company has made according to our service with them. As of today, we have stoped service with Ames and would never recommend this company to anyone. I wish there was an option on here to not leave a star at all because they don't deserve it. read more

Customer service is just like what they do.....Garbage!!! Don't even know where to begin with these people! I'll try and be brief and to the point. They come so early they violate the township noise ordinance law, and when you call to say they missed you the customer service lady says it's our fault for not being out in time. She is rude over the phone unless your upgrading your service. The recycle guy likes to play games with peanut butter jars that he won't take, piling them up on top of our can like a carnival game! We've been missed and they won't return to get trash(even though it was their fault). The final straw was the day after Christmas this year when the trash was out at 6:45 am and the trash company came before that(which is against the noise ordinance law) and when my wife called, the rude lady said too bad! She was caught in a lie saying that they weren't here before 7am. She hung up on my wife. When asked to speak to a manager she said she was! This is the worst customer service for a small time trash hauler I've ever seen! I didn't even write everything on this review! Needless to say we will be switching soon and will NEVER recommend Ames Disposal to anyone!! read more
