When I tell you I was FREAKIN PUMPED to see a Postino come to Katy... you have no idea. I used to frequent the Postino in Montrose and eagerly waited all year for the Postino in La Centerra to open as soon as I saw that shiny "coming soon" sign So far, I've only made it out to this location on one occasion but it was obviously everything the Postino brand has lived up to. This location fits perfectly in La Centerra, plopped right in the middle where the old Dish Society used to be. They have a perfect outdoor patio that onlooks the green area and the shops (great for people watching), also complete with plenty of shade/covering, an outdoor bar top, tvs, and misters for that Texas sun The day I came was for a midday brunch, and I had surprisingly never had brunch at any Postino locations and was IMPRESSED with the delicious selection of brunch items, variety of flavors, and your more than average "brunch" dishes. They have a fantastic boozy menu for the hair of the dog or for your brunch drinks of choice like mimosas, sparkling cocktails, and bloody Mary's. My favorite aspect of this location is the interior. The decor is so creative and eye catching - wait till you see the phone wall!! All in all a well deserved spot in La Centerra. Can't wait to come back! read more

My friend and I ordered west toaster and skewers(forgot to take pictures). The chicken skewer tastes a little bit salty. The panini is super great. The Italian bread base( focaccia) is crispy, stuffed with smoked ham, avocado and cheese. The salted caramel sundae is good too. read more

Tried this place for lunch and it was...okay. I was so excited about a new tapas place, small plates and good wine. The wine was good though the rose was not cold enough. The food was decent. We got an array of items. Skewers were okay, the chicken was well seasoned. I got a plate of bruschetta and the bread was way too thick for the amount of toppings, the waitress also got our order wrong but that's okay. I have an onion allergy and asked for it without red onion, it came with so much husband ate it. We got the sweet potato wedges but they arrived cold. We also ordered a panini to try it out. The bread was good but the chicken panini came with deli chicken not real slices of chicken which was a little disappointing. For dessert we got a sundae and crème brûlée. This Postino is in a perfect area, right in La Centerra. I came for dinner and sat at the bar. My friend and I ordered a bruschetta board, they have a lot of great options. Yelanie, the bartender recommended me wines that were wonderful. The Riesling was my favorite. I had such a good experience with the food and service. I will be sure to return very soon! read more

My new favorite spot. Any happy hour is a happy hour. Drink specials u til 5. Artichoke bruschetta is bomb. 2nd is apple and fig. Can't wait to go back. The bright headed hostesses were informative helpful dolls. I love Postino but this location is a rip off! Ordered 2 raspberry chicken salad for my husband and I and paid $30 and got a ridiculously small portion...kids size at best. I have not written a yelp review in a bit but I have to write this review. Let me first start off by saying, I have frequently gone to the Postino locations in Houston located in the Heights and Montrose for years and those locations were always amazing. On the other hand, the Katy location is the absolute worst! When it first opened up in the area I was excited as one of my favorite spots now had a location closer to me . I visited this location when it first opened and it was good but the past 2 times I went within this month I was very disappointed and don't think I'll ever come back to this location with my friends. The menus were covered in food stains (I should have taken a picture but I was absolutely disgusted)...mind you this happened more than once at this location. I would recommend them to laminate their menus because seeing this actually deterred my friend and I from ordering food. I believe if they are openly flaunting their dirty menus in front of costumers faces , I wonder how filthy the back kitchen is!! Anyways, we opted to share a bottle of Prosecco and orange juice . The glasses they gave us were dirty with visible spots. I would think that a place that serves wine would take the time to actually make sure the glasses they use are somewhat clean before handing them to costumers. In addition to all of this, the waitresses we had these past few times have all been rude and not helpful to rectify the issues. Also I thought it was hilarious that one of the waitresses asked for my friend and my IDs AFTER we were already done with half our bottle of Prosecco(this is something they are supposed to do BEFORE serving alcohol. If we were not of age, what would be the point of checking at that point)?! Like I said before, when this location first opened up it was great and I don't know what happened within the past couple of months. read more

So 4 of my buddies and I came on Saturday, 06/11/2022 around 6 pm and were told there would be 45 min wait - ok, no worries. After 45 mins, I ask what was the status and the guy in the front said that it would be another 20 mins or more - ok no worries, you guys are busy. We went to Torchy's Taco to get some queso and chips since we were waiting longer. After 30 mins, we came back, since we still did not receive a text that we were ready and here is the confusing part - the same guy I ask 30 mins ago about the status told us he took us off and then on the waitlist again - he was clearly lying to us after we waited for 1 hr 15 mins. I can't rate the food because we never got to eat it but if the host is like this - this is just plan awful. I plan to never come here since there are so many great restaurants in Katy, TX especially in Katy Asian Town. read more

If i could give this place 10 stars I would! I've been a fan of Postino's for a couple of years and I came for the infamous mondays and tuesday deal (i won't say it so millions wont come and ruin it forever lol) and nazareth didn't disappoint her service and conversation was impeccable! Recently went back for 4th of July and it was yet another great experience, they were very attentive and let us try samples before committing to a wine. I'm in a long term relationship with Postino and am thrilled that they're now in Katy. I tried their bruschetta board where you get to choose 4 of 12 different topping combos and it was great. My favorites were the goat cheese with pepper jelly topping and the traditional mozzarella/basil/tomato topping. The beef and chicken skewers were so flavorful - esp. with the garlic yogurt sauce. We also loved our paninis. And the crème brûlée was perfect with lots of crunchy shards of caramelized sugar on top. The music is really good and the decor is fun, but really does it for us is the service. No empty glasses or buildup of dirty plates here. They have a "team service" approach where everybody that works there is available to help you, not just the person who took your order. Also, check out their happy hours that go up until 5pm... $6 glasses of wine or pitchers of beer. read more

This Postino location has a really great vibe. Pretty nice ambiance to meet with friends or for drinks after work. All servers are attentive and they are constantly rotating to your table making sure all your orders are taken cared off. Also, the food is really great. I went to Postino for the food more than the wine, and I liked most of what I had! The bruschetta board was probably my favorite, particularly the artichoke spread and brie apple fig ones. Most of the charcuterie I got was fine to good but overall I'd say it's a good spot for drinks and finger foods. Stopped in for happy on a Friday. We sat at the bar. Place was busy but not crowded/over crowded. My take was this is the best place in la centerra. Great ambience, the bar and outside misters made for a cool, comfortable spot on one of the hottest days. Happy special ($24 bottles, $6 beer pitchers) is phenomenal. And the food was great. Had the bruschetta and the grilled cheese. Highly recommend both. The bruschetta has many to try and I would say the classic tomatoes was good but the salmon pesto one was the best by far. We tried two others (something with Brie and another with some jam... good to try but would reorder the others first). Prices reasonable. Made Katy feel like heights for a moment. read more

Had a great meet up with a friend. Nice vibe inside. No issue finding parking. Staff was friendly. Honestly unfamiliar with a lot of their wine selections, but found something to enjoy. Split a bruschetta board which was delicious. A lot of options to choose from. Apparently Mondays and Tuesdays after 8 pm you can get a board and a bottle of wine for $25. I'll have to keep that in mind for next time! Would definitely go back. read more

My sister and I love this place. Great wine, fun atmosphere, lovely charcuterie boards and delicious snacks. My personal favorite wine is their Centenario Cabernet Sauvignon and pair that with my favorite board The Chefs Charcuterie and you have a fantastic night where you can entertain yourself and your friends for hours. I could not rate any higher because they seem to be out of what I would call staples. Domestic beers and general wines. We asked three time for food and for some reason if you order three units only one would come. She forgot and got distracted by talking to other customers. I decided to leave since my 4 yrs was not having any patience to wait anymore after awhile. Overall it was ok. Now the popcorn was 10/10 the Parmesan with the chili powder is a hit $9 .. you get enough to share with 2/3 ppl . The wine we got was very tasty . I loved it tbh. Now , here something I felt was very wrong. I'm not a business major but I owned a business and I guess this depends on morals . This wine in the store is $6 .. we were charged $48 .. I get making your money . I would've been okay with it being $20-25 but almost $50 which it was with tax is wild . That's 700% over its value. It was also described as very high end lol " Italian "... I've visited really expensive winery's like Stella wine bar and vineyards and the prices were not even close to these. I live in the commmunity and I'm honestly shocked but I'm not from Texas . This wouldn't fly back home . I did ask and he said he couldn't discuss because he wasn't the owner , understood Overall , place is beautiful ... very comfy . I would love to visit again maybe during happy hour to taste plenty more . I was really excited to check this place out since I'm getting a new puppy soon, but I honestly didn't find anything I wanted to purchase. Overall, it's a nice spot to stop in for a drink and admire the space, but the retail side just didn't do it for me.

That…read moresaid, I believe one visit isn't enough to fully judge a restaurant, and I do plan to return to try other dishes in hopes of a better experience. This was my wife's and my first visit, and overall it was underwhelming. The ambiance is definitely upscale and modern. However, the entry area felt extremely crowded, with guests waiting for reservations and tables. Inside, the décor is sleek, but the large wine displays throughout the dining rooms made certain areas feel somewhat closed off and obstructed the overall openness of the space. We were seated in a side dining room and promptly served bread with olive oil and seasonings. The bread was fresh and enjoyable, though I personally prefer a touch of balsamic vinegar alongside the oil to balance some of the bitterness. I asked for more bread (3 slices were given) and our waiter said only one bread basket is complimentary. Now, let's talk about the wine program. The restaurant boasts an extensive wine list with both standard and member pricing. As someone who owns several of the wines listed, I noticed some bottles marked up well over 100%, which felt excessive. Perhaps I'm just a bargain hunter, but it definitely stood out. My bigger concern, however, was the limited by-the-glass selection. My wife enjoys sweeter wines while I prefer bold reds, so we typically order by the glass. The bottle list offered tremendous variety, but the glass selection was surprisingly narrow. Expanding those options would greatly improve the experience for guests with different tastes. As for the food, my wife ordered the scallop risotto. The dish had good flavor, the scallops were cooked beautifully, and the risotto had a pleasant texture, although it was slightly looser than I expected. Whether that was intentional based on the rice variety used, I'm not sure, but overall it was a solid dish. I ordered the Pasta alla Ruota. The scallops were unavailable, so I substituted chicken. Unfortunately, this dish missed the mark. The pasta itself was acceptable but noticeably dry. It was finished with truffle shavings and truffle oil, yet I detected virtually no truffle flavor whatsoever. The chicken was the biggest disappointment as it was extremely dry, lacked seasoning, and honestly detracted from the entire dish. Since the pasta is prepared tableside, I chose not to send it back, but I was genuinely disappointed. My largest issue is the value proposition. The pasta was $48, plus an additional $10 for the chicken. For comparison, I've enjoyed a similar pasta dish at Gianni's inside the former Versace Mansion in South Beach for less money, and the quality there was significantly better. By the end of the evening, our dinner for two with two glasses of wine each came to just over $200 with only one complimentary bread basket offered. Considering the overall experience, we left feeling disappointed rather than impressed. As I mentioned earlier, I will return and give the restaurant another opportunity because one meal doesn't always tell the whole story. However, based on this first visit, I won't be rushing back anytime soon.

I also got this for my mom because she's a picky eater, and she had no issues with it. Salmon Tempura Roll - The salmon was cooked, which caught me off guard since I was expecting raw salmon. The tempura was a bit oily and took up too much of the roll, leaving the filling pretty sparse. Because the inside was fairly bland, the sourness of the rice became more noticeable. This ended up being one of my least favorite rolls. California Tempura Roll - I loved the presentation of this one. The slight sweetness was a pleasant surprise, and the filling itself was delicious. The downside was that there just wasn't much of it, so each bite felt less satisfying than I expected. The thicker tempura batter also made the roll feel increasingly oily the more I ate. One small thing I noticed was that they initially gave us very little pickled ginger. We asked for more, and they happily brought out a generous serving. I assume they keep the first portion small because not everyone eats it, but they're more than willing to give you extra if you ask. The atmosphere was pleasant, the music wasn't too loud, and the seats were cozy. Customer service was friendly, fast, and efficient. Overall, my favorite part of the meal was actually the Thai tea because it hit my sweet tooth. The sushi wasn't overly impressive, but it also wasn't underwhelming. Even California Tempura Roll, one of the pricier rolls we ordered, still felt a bit skimpy on the inside. The prices were reasonable, though I wouldn't have minded paying a little more for better flavor and more generous fillings.
