I visited this past Friday at 3:00 p.m. I have been to the River Oaks location and loved it so I wanted to try out their other locations. This location was nestled deep in Katy surrounded by some other businesses but close to the neighborhood . This location is perfect for those who live in Katy. I ordered the $15 Somm Flight. One major difference between this location and the other is River Oaks had a sommelier on staff so in addition to the flight you get information on the wines. I'm used to getting the names, region and notes. At this location I was just told there was a Chardonnay, Rosè and a Cabernet Sauvignon and was only given the names after asking. The wines at the other location went well together these not so much. The quality and freshness of my wines were different as well and my wines tasted like the bottle had been open for days. I must admit I'm pickier than most and I'm wine certified so these things do matter to me. One other thing to note is pizza is not served at this location. Service was great and everyone was friendly and attentive. The staff made me feel very welcome. They have a nice patio out back which would be great at night. This spot would be great for date night or when you don't want to be around a large crowd because it wasn't super crowded. I can see myself working remotely from this location. Overall I would definitely go back but it would not be my first choice. I prefer the River Oaks location.

I arrived at this location at 11:30 a.m., but the doors were still locked. There was only one employee inside working, while the rest of the staff were outside talking and wiping tables. No one greeted me or acknowledged that customers were waiting. The only person who seemed interested in helping was the employee making the pizzas, and I appreciate her taking my order. The tables were also sticky and did not appear to have been cleaned properly. On a positive note, once my order was taken, the food came out quickly. However, the overall experience felt disorganized. This doesn't seem like a staffing issue as much as a training and management issue. With better leadership, customer service, and attention to detail, this location could provide the same great experience I've come to expect from other Crust Pizza locations. I was excited to visit because it's a beautiful location with a lot of potential, and I hope management takes the necessary steps to improve the customer experience.

I asked for a drink recommendation and she gave me two great options. I chose the Tres Cucumber and it was amazing. Refreshing, not too sweet, and perfectly balanced with a clean cucumber flavor. My husband ordered the Old Fashioned, which was also very well done. We shared the fudge brownie for dessert and it was rich, moist, and elevated with just the right hint of espresso. The atmosphere is comfortable and versatile. It works just as well for a date night as it does for a girls night or a casual meet-up with a friend. 10 out of 10. If you order food at the bar, they give you a number & the food will be brought out to you. I was thoroughly impressed with the place, the concept. I hung out in the lounge so I can only speak about that service. All the bartenders were super friendly. They quickly acknowledged patrons as they approached the bar. Shout out to bartender, Rojas. He gave great drink recommendations based on sharing your preferences and was also great to talk to. I didn't have any food because they were out of chicken sliders & chicken lollipops. It was a Saturday late afternoon. On my way out I saw 2 food trucks on property by the patio area where u can order food. I highly, highly recommend trying this place! My experience was 4.5 stars, leaning toward 5. I will definitely return & may have to upgrade my rating after I eat & get one more experience here.

That…read moresaid, I believe one visit isn't enough to fully judge a restaurant, and I do plan to return to try other dishes in hopes of a better experience. This was my wife's and my first visit, and overall it was underwhelming. The ambiance is definitely upscale and modern. However, the entry area felt extremely crowded, with guests waiting for reservations and tables. Inside, the décor is sleek, but the large wine displays throughout the dining rooms made certain areas feel somewhat closed off and obstructed the overall openness of the space. We were seated in a side dining room and promptly served bread with olive oil and seasonings. The bread was fresh and enjoyable, though I personally prefer a touch of balsamic vinegar alongside the oil to balance some of the bitterness. I asked for more bread (3 slices were given) and our waiter said only one bread basket is complimentary. Now, let's talk about the wine program. The restaurant boasts an extensive wine list with both standard and member pricing. As someone who owns several of the wines listed, I noticed some bottles marked up well over 100%, which felt excessive. Perhaps I'm just a bargain hunter, but it definitely stood out. My bigger concern, however, was the limited by-the-glass selection. My wife enjoys sweeter wines while I prefer bold reds, so we typically order by the glass. The bottle list offered tremendous variety, but the glass selection was surprisingly narrow. Expanding those options would greatly improve the experience for guests with different tastes. As for the food, my wife ordered the scallop risotto. The dish had good flavor, the scallops were cooked beautifully, and the risotto had a pleasant texture, although it was slightly looser than I expected. Whether that was intentional based on the rice variety used, I'm not sure, but overall it was a solid dish. I ordered the Pasta alla Ruota. The scallops were unavailable, so I substituted chicken. Unfortunately, this dish missed the mark. The pasta itself was acceptable but noticeably dry. It was finished with truffle shavings and truffle oil, yet I detected virtually no truffle flavor whatsoever. The chicken was the biggest disappointment as it was extremely dry, lacked seasoning, and honestly detracted from the entire dish. Since the pasta is prepared tableside, I chose not to send it back, but I was genuinely disappointed. My largest issue is the value proposition. The pasta was $48, plus an additional $10 for the chicken. For comparison, I've enjoyed a similar pasta dish at Gianni's inside the former Versace Mansion in South Beach for less money, and the quality there was significantly better. By the end of the evening, our dinner for two with two glasses of wine each came to just over $200 with only one complimentary bread basket offered. Considering the overall experience, we left feeling disappointed rather than impressed. As I mentioned earlier, I will return and give the restaurant another opportunity because one meal doesn't always tell the whole story. However, based on this first visit, I won't be rushing back anytime soon.
