I just want to sat thank you to an incredible team, who is so helpful, and very thoughtful! I always come here to send my packages.

First of all, the receipt says The Shipping Store and not Postman Joe, but it has the same address and the same phone number. It is in Sheepshead Bay and not in Brighton Beach. There were 3 guys at the front desk yesterday and when they gave me a price of $26.18 to mail a 1pd 9 oz package by UPS from Brooklyn to Staten Island, not overnight, not express, just standard UPS ground residential, I couldn't believe it. I asked them what their service fee was and not one of them would answer me, and it is not listed separately on the receipt. Then I asked them how much USPS would cost and I was told almost $24 when it is usually around $9 and change there. These prices are outrageous, and I think that we should have the right to know what kind of service fees they are charging us. I would never ever go back there again. The people at Postman Joe are fantastic. I always struggle making returns to Amazon and other stores because I am not a tech person and they handle this for me. They have done personal shipping for me as well to relatives and friends in state and out of state. Always helpful to me. Waiting time is minimal. Far quicker than the post office as well. Are you kidding me? I went into this store and there were three people working in there. Only one of them had a mask on! One had it down below his nose, and the other guy -- the one I had to deal with -- was wearing it down on his neck. This store is TINY -- so it's hard to stay six feet away from anyone, especially if you have to walk up to the counter to put your packages down. I was absolutely disgusted by their lack of decency and respect for health standards. The message I got was that I can care enough about the shop staff to walk into their store wearing a mask, but they can't be bothered to put theirs on when I'm in there?! WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. If you care about your health, I would avoid this place at all costs. I've been to other shipping places that respect the rules, and care for and respect their customers. read more

This is such a wonderful store! I have been using it to send packages for several years.The staff is always friendly, patient, and helpful..always willing to help find the right size packaging and determining the safest way with the best fee to mail the package out. I have often brought packages that I had to return with free return shipping. I have brought them my return receipt, and they carefully secure the packages for me. Today I was able to mail out my Passport application all in one stop shopping...they took my photo and helped secure the application in the correct mailing envelope. They saved me lots of time and made me feel that the application would be sent safely and would arrive quickly. They keep a record of packages sent and include tracking numbers when requested so that there is an easy way to track packaging in case the package doesn't arrive at it's location...which never has happened since this is a great, reliable place to send out packages. I am so happy that I found this store..so convenient right across from the library, close to transportation, and to CVS. A very satisfied customer! read more

Good until you need/ask them to file a claim.... difficult, misleading, problematic etc.

Helpful staff and cheaper than USPS overseas shipments.
