I ordered from Chipotle and when the guy who was being my food knocked at my door he gave me the wrong order and i gave it back immediately, then he checked his bag and didn't have my order. I will never use Postmates again. I downloaded the app and placed my first order after receiving a referral from a friend. I ordered from Happy Panda located at 1343 W. 18th St. in Chicago. There was nothing on the Postmates app to indicate that Happy Panda was closed at the time my order was placed. I was allowed to place the order with no problems. I ordered from Happy Panda's menu via the Postmates app on my phone. The food came and it was in a bag that said China Dragon Restaurant. The receipt said the same thing which I found odd but didn't think much of it in the moment. We ate the food, which wasn't great, and life moved on. This morning I examined the charge on my credit card and looked at the receipt again. It was then that I noticed that address for Happy Panda and China Dragon are completely different. China Dragon is located at 1737 W. 18th St. in Chicago. I googled Happy Panda and realized that they're closed. Their website just says, "on vacation" and nothing more. There was NO notification on Postmates alerting me that the restaurant was closed at the time my order was made. So basically, Postmates decided to substitute my Happy Panda order with China Dragon without my consideration. Postmates didn't call to say that the restaurant was closed or to ask if it was okay to substitute my order. That's some bullshit that shouldn't happen. If this is how they run their business then I don't wish to support it. My order should've been canceled or Postmates should've called to ask me if I wanted to substitute my order with another restaurant. I'm the customer. It's my money. I should've made the final decision; not Postmates. For this reason, I'll never use Postmates again. FYI - This morning (2/17/19) the Postmates app now says that Happy Panda is currently closed. You no longer have the option to order from them. It would've been nice if Postmates had updated their app prior to me placing my order last night (2/16/19) at 5:57pm central time. I also didn't like that they automatically put a temporary authorization on your CC for MORE than the amount you owe. That's more bullshit. Don't assume what I'll tip and charge me accordingly first! If you somehow receive the wrong order consistently due to drivers failure, or the store messed up, Postmates will flag your account and "will not give you a refund" for the missing items. We use these apps for a reason and expect the service to be able to pick up the correct order on our behalf in exchange for the super pricey rates. Use DoorDash instead. From overcharging on food prices, to late deliveries, to cold food, to not being able to contact customer service (except one time where they told me they could do nothing for a late delivery), I would give this company zero stars if I could. I had a $100 credit to use, but they still charged me a "service fee" of $9.94 and automatically included tip without my consent. They also charged me additional cost for an item even though I ordered another. We contacted the driver, but were told we had to contact Postmates to resolve the issue. We submitted a ticket over an hour ago and have received no response. We sent a direct message on Twitter to Postmates_Help, and they responded almost immediately. Three of the times, they submitted my order to the merchant incorrectly and they don't try to make things right. They charge a service fee and delivery fee each time which can very but mine are usually a total of a little over $11 bucks! But I accepted it the times I needed food late and had very limited choices elsewhere considering the time and merchant options. My most recent experience was that I got my order and was missing one plate. I called the merchant and they told me that postmates only submitted my order for one plate. Postmates preauthorized my card for order including two plates and you don't see the update and actual charges until the next day and you can't call them. Support is only available by email. So from the postmates app, I reported the issue and while waiting for their reply, I still had to place another order for the one plate because I had a guest over and we were short food. So I just ordered again for the one plate where I was charged another delivery and service fee of about $11 bucks. Next day they respond by email. I explained the error and told them it was unfair that I had to pay those fees again. Customer support replied to me several times that they didn't charge me for the 2nd plate on the first order like if that was fine and enough. They kept ignoring the fact that they made the error not ever trying to credit me back for the fees on the 2nd order. Got nowhere with them. I honestly think it's a scam and they do this on purpose to make money. Do. Not use them.
