Packed with flavor with lots of peppers, cheese, lettuce, tomato, mushrooms, the whole works, and nicely toasted for the cheese to melt. Counter service was very friendly and incredibly fast! There was a steady lunch rush inside but nobody had to wait too long. Took mine to go, but plenty of clean tables for dining in as well. read more

Firehouse subs unfortunately continue to disappoint me. I really want to like it, but the taste is just so off to me. I think I'd like it if they had more options to get cold subs, but the subs are always melty and loaded so high with toppings that it falls apart and is the messiest food item I could think to order. We got these the other day via delivery and I won't make that mistake again. After they slightly cool, they are soggy and just bad. Maybe the trick is to not get delivery? Or if they had an option to get a cold sub other than tuna? The medium is way more than enough food, the large could feed an entire family. Much prefer any other sandwich over this place. read more

Firehouse is probably my favorite sub shop. This location is usually clean and overall decent service. I get a turkey sandwich with a few mods. I will say it does take a while to get sandwiches most times as they are toasted. I actually don't like my sandwiches and toppings warm but firehouse is the only place I'll eat it that way and it's so good. The medium size is a perfect portion. Why has it taken me this long to try firehouse subs?!? The subs are BOMB! I ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich and my oh my it was so good. The perfect level of spice on a warm toasty sandwich..yum!! There are 3 sizes of subs. S, M and L. I went with M and it was way more than enough food for me. The food itself gets five starts but the service wasn't exceptional, which is why I lowered it to four stars. However, someone could have just been having a bad day. I don't normally review fast food chains but I felt this was necessary. First of all I was torn between giving this 2 stars or 3 but due to the quality of the food I decided on 3. I've tried 4 or 5 different subs and 2 or 3 sides, all are excellent and the prices are slightly on the high side but the poor service I recieve each & every time makes me question why I go back. Every time I go there the girls behind the counter act as though I'm a bother and generally seem like they would rather not be there. Having eaten at all of them, I can honestly say Firehouse is the clear winner. Goodbye Subway, Quiznos, Wich wich, Jimmy Johns, Jersey Mikes, Capriottis, and all the rest! My go to subs often rotate among three kinds, my mood ring of sub sandwiches. The New York Steamer has everything I love from Pastrami to Corn Beef, and the Italian is always a classic. When they have it I grab the Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar. Make sure to check out their limited special menu as well. They can be hit (Cuban Sub) or miss (Gyro Sub). I thought I'd try this place out since it's really close to where I live, so I went there tonight around 6pm. There were maybe three customers in the place, and I only saw one guy behind the counter working. So I ordered a sub, and he asked what I wanted on it. i asked what my choices were, and told him it was my first time there. Long pause....... you could tell he wasn't really in the mood for me tonight lol. He told me about toppings, I gave him mine and paid him. Cool. When it was finished he called me up by name (which is nice), gave me my bag with a sub in it and told me to have a good night. There were no napkins in the bin and I asked him were there any more napkins. He pointed to a stack of bathroom paper towels and explained that they were out of napkins. Seriously? Okay not his fault, but really?!?! Whatever, I walked home and when I got there the bag was already leaking oil and vinegar; I opened it up and that was because the container the sub was in was on it's side. The dude couldn't slide it in the bag upside I guess. The sub wasn't bad. I guess I've had better. The service at Jersey Mikes was way better, and they seemed excited to have a new customer! So, I just opened up my sub getting back to my office, only to find that my sub was made completely wrong. I ordered the New York Steamer, and I asked for that with lettuce, tomato, onion, mustard and mayo, i.e. "fully involved". Well, I just opened up my sub to find that they only put mayo and mustard on it, and I don't even see any provolone on the sub! My office is 30 minutes away from this location, so its not like I am about to drive back today, but I am thoroughly disappointed. I guess next time I go to this location, I'm going to have to open up my sub before I head out to make sure that they made the right sub and made it the right way. If I'm going to pay $10 for a take out sub, I expect it to at least be the way I requested... I have an appt there next week. I love subs. I rank them next to pizza as great all-in-one meals for meats, veggies, and carbs. This particular location is found inside a plaza at 66th and Lyndale in Richfield. Lots of parking is available, and it even has a few dedicated spots for those who want to order out (15min max parking). The menu has a lot of sub options and there are pictures of each one to help you make your decision. They come in two size options, 8" and 12". I really like the 8" option. I usually go to subway and find 6" to be too little, and 12" to be too much. So 8" is just perfect. I went with the Italian sub with a chips and drink combo. They have one of those new soda dispensers where you select from a touch screen and they can make dozens of custom options by adding extra flavors like cherry or lime to your regular soda. The sub took a little longer to make than most places, which is why I took off a star. They really weren't even that busy. Oh and their prices are a bit higher than an average sub place. One highlight is that they offer a selection of hot sauces to spicy up your sandwich. The other reason I took off another star was because they tv's they had were place way high up near the ceilings and not that easy to look at. They also looked smaller since they were so high up. So I ordered online and when I arrived to pick up for curbside delivery they never heard of me. I even had the email notice of my order.

The ingredients are of ok quality, but for some reason the hot subs are always soaking wet.

The subs here are great. A medium is enough to stuff me. And the service is typically quick and friendly. But one thing I don't understand is why they can't do a simple thing like a pickle spear right. When you eat in, they give you a pickle spear, which I normally like, but 9 times out of 10 it's a limp rubbery piece of crap. Why bother? I asked an employee about it once and was told that often when they open the pickles, they are frozen. That would probably do it. read more

New location, very clean and well laid out. Derek offered recommendations that were spot on. The NY steamer with corned beef brisket and pastrami with melted provolone was utterly delicious. Be sure to add extra firehouse sauce. The price, unlike another review was actually really fair for the food you get. It's a higher quality sub than Subway or a Quiznos. I love this chain. When I'm in the mood for a sub, I'm so disappointed if I can't find a Firehouse. Their sandwiches are packed with flavor. I love the way they lightly toast the sandwich so the lettuce isn't wilted. The mayo and mustard they use is just perfect and makes the whole sub taste great. November 1st After a long day of traveling today and rushing to find food at 7:45pm before everything closed two of my friends and I where turned away at 5min to 8pm. I get that you had a long day and are counting the minutes to get off but why close at 8pm if your are going to turn people away when your doors are still unlocked and you have a job to do for 5more minutes. Feed your last customers and go home. Instead you chose to turn us away knowing everything else around is closing because you don't know what customer service is and worse compassion and consideration. I received email confirmation stating that it was $0.00 and when I picked it up at the time it ssys was ready, it wasn't ready. They wanted to charge me full price, i told her that it was free and offered her to look at email vonfirmation I received but kept arguing that ir wasnt in their system. Ordered an Engineer sandwich for curbside pickup. Was never brought out to my truck even though I right in front of the store after waiting 10 minutes. Had to go in a get my food myself even though I gave them notes on what to grab. No vegetables on my sandwich even though I never requested it. Total waste of $10 and $30 min on the job. Went here with my boss after work. Got the medium sized classic meatball. It was neat and looked amazing. Served hot and tasted just as good as it looked. Huge selection of soda and other fountain drinks was another cool thing about this place. I liked the grape Fanta and grape Sprite. Prices are comparable to Jersey Mikes. I give it 4 stars since they gave my boss the wrong sandwich. They quickly caught on and got him the right one. Those things happen. Ok, at first I thought I was going to have to write a bad review... but it totally turned around. It was my 1st time using Dash and I was staying at a hotel without any transportation. I was really impressed how easy it was to order with Dash as well as Firehouse Subs site. But to my dismay when David the driver arrived, I didn't have my coke, chips, or dressing for salad. I called the store and the gentleman that answered seemed irritated and said that I would need to come in if I needed my items. What?? Seriously... so I then got irritated as well and explained that was not acceptable. He told me I would need to call Dash and get my refund. Again, what?? He then was able to get ahold of Dash for me and said that the driver actually just walked in. He gave me a $10 credit and had the driver being me my items I asked and paid for. After waiting 20 minutes and seeing 2 different orders for people come out I inquired if our subs were even being made. 10 minutes later out comes our subs but they made the wrong one for my boyfriend so his had to be remade. 30 minutes for fast food and the manager didn't offer us free vouchers or anything.
