This place is roughhhhh. I literally grew up going to this grocery store even before it turned into…read morea cub... Honestly shopping here early early morning is pretty chill but coming here at night is like going through war. No baskets because I guess everyone jacked them, the carts are tough and loud as hell like even Walmart carts aren't that bad... Any essentials are locked so good luck if you need anything but groceries. I literally had the cashier drop some of my groceries, forget to scan some of my items at the end of the belt and then they threw them across the belt with my two receipts because they had to make two transactions for rest of the groceries... I know retail can be hard and we all have bad days but I didn't do anything but say hello... The only positive I can give is that the store is well stocked and it's great to have a grocery store in such a high populated area but I think this place needs a remodel and different management. Honestly just go to the Aldi on Lyndale because at least the staff is nice.

Cub Foods Uptown has just re-opened and with a refreshed look! The Uptown store had been closed…read moresince mid-June for two months and it has now reopened with new products, and a refreshed layout! The shelving is more streamlined and modern with improved visibility of the goods. The entrance is more spacious and there is now an expanded floral department. There was worry that the store was going to close for good as there have been a few Cub Foods closures as of late...but we're relieved that you're back and back in full force! Welcome back! Keep up the good work, and in time, all your customers should be back again in full force.

This is just my personal opinion. But I do not like their food it is a step up from hospital food…read moreand food at high school cafeteria's but it still is not good quality in my opinion. I will say that they try very very hard and it is run by student alumni. But here are some improvements I would recommend. I mean on paper it looks good, when you see photos of the food they serve it looks really good but once you taste it, it is not very good quality. In my opinion it is like food you would find at McDonald's with Indian food added on it. Also with flute name global kitchen it is very ironic because the food they serve is not very global. I would say if they want to improve it their food should be more global and food that you would find at Midtown Global Market. I would also highly recommend that they expand their menu. For example they could serve Somali and Hmong food foods from Somalia and Southeast Asia because there are an awful lot of Somalian and Hmong people who go to the college.m, and food from other parts of the world which can make the name be more realistic. I also think they should sell some caffeine free sodas for people who may not be able to have caffeine like people with epilepsy and diet sodas or sodas with zero sugar. Overall I think they try very very hard, but these are just some opinionated views and some recommendations for the restaurant
