This place is amazing! I wish I could give it 10 stars! I needed to have shipping addresses printed on my wedding invitations which seemed like a simple enough task. However, the envelope was oddly shaped. After getting turned away without even one attempt to make it work at FedEx Kinkos I came here to PostNet. I was so nervous I was going to get the same response. But PostNet did an amazing job!!! Not only were they friendly and knowledgeable but they were also incredibly efficient. They were done with all of the invitations in 15 minutes! I'm coming here for all of my future printing needs! read more

Yikes, I'm super bummed about my experience in here, and it's the second time. I'm even more bummed because this is the closest mailbox service near my home. I won't go into too much detail here except to say the service is slow and when I didn't make the $3 minimum and asked if I could upgrade the postage or something to get there he told me the next upgrade would be $13... ok... so I pick up my package thinking there's nothing I can do to meet the min and I don't have any dollars. Upon leaving I turned and said "I'm a small business and I understand credit card minimums but I don't feel like you're helping me at all here"... to which I felt like (although not loud or mean) he pushed back at me instead of being kind and helpful. To add to it, the other guy gave me a look like I was a lunatic for expecting help from a virtually empty store with 3 people sitting there. When I mentioned the looked I felt he was a bit snarky in reply, although perhaps that is just his manor, not great for customer service. At any rate I only had one other hard time here and it wasn't the staff but the pricing which I know a couple others mentioned. I'll expect some sort of retort back from the business as I've seen on others and suggest that yelpers read those to see how "kindly" they deal with customers who may actually be difficult or who also may just be trying to send a piece of mail and getting subpar customer service. read more

My company (Lexus Stevens Creek) uses Postnet for all our company printing needs for local marketing and internal collateral. Came here to get a few prints and a gallery wrap canvas for an event. Pier was extremely helpful and patient while processing the various print sizes and file formats. The prints developed quickly and in good quality. The gallery wrap canvas was ready in 2 days and awesome quality as well. It's so hard to find a professional print shop for photos these days as people tend to use online services or kiosks, but I'm glad PostNet is nearby for great quality and instant results. read more

I needed a 24" x 36" poster. OfficeMax totally messed it up, so I asked our neighborhood association for recommendations and they said "PostNet". They were absolutely right. Ed took my hi-res pdf and proofed it with me. Although the only prices posted were for glossy and matte stock, he volunteered that I could save considerable money by printing on poster paper. Best news: He said it would be ready in two hours. It was, and it was perfect. I had not heard of PostNet before today. Now I'll spread the word. read more

Great service! I stopped by to get my passport picture taken after work and was greeted by a very nice man at the counter. He advised me to take my earrings off and let me use the bathroom to freshen up. I'm not photogenic, but this may be the best passport picture of my life! I got 4 pictures for under $20. Strong word of caution: AVOID this establishment if you enjoy responsive and quality customer service. On the other hand, if you like to be lied to and ignored, then by all means check out PostNet. Also, I highly recommend that you do NOT go to PostNet (near the Marie Calendars in Sunnyvale) if you need an item that they do not specifically produce themselves. The product will likely be of substandard quality, and because they use an outside vendor PostNet staff will act like victims who can offer you no recourse. In April 2011, my wife ordered a mouse pad that was imprinted with a graphic image that she supplied. The pad came back with a low resolution image and inappropriate colors. When my wife explained the quality problem, the staff at PostNet first said they would call her with a solution, but never did. Then they pretended to send the pad back to the outside vendor for rework, but never did. After several weeks of this nonsense, my wife cancelled the order with PostNet and placed the same order online with CafePress.com. And guess what? The pad came out perfectly! So let me summarize: (1) PostNet, a supposedly professional imaging establishment, uses an outside vendor that produces lower quality product than what you can find yourself through an online vendor such as CafePress.com, and (2) When confronted with their sloppy quality and insulting customer service, PostNet staff (including the owner) just gets nervous and acts like a victim of their own outside vendor. I'm not sure what the name "PostNet" is meant to convey regarding their services ("Postage over the Internet"?), but maybe they should change their name to "Passport Photo" because that's all they seem to be qualified to provide. read more

Overall not a bad value, as long as you're making simple prints or copies. My experience with the staff is very diverse: Ed is amazing and others have no clue about printing. What I had never realized is that the owner is a jerk. His wife/partner is helpful and has an idea about what customer service is, but the owner has no customer relationship-, social- or inter-personal- or business skills. After an employee made a mistake, he was all about defending him, as opposed to being a fair business owner. He offered a re-print without any guarantees or defining *any* expectable quality - for a quite pricey printing service. The kicker is that I have been taking $25k+ annual business to this shop... and I had mentioned this to him when complaining about the employee's mistake. When I sincerely / kindly advised him to train to his employee better, as not every customer might be as understanding as I was, he ended up raising his voice... wow... a big mistake. Now our corporate budget line item has been replaced with another shop's name. Bad experience on my end - still might be ok for everyday copies. read more

This place is absolutely fantastic! Can I give it 6 stars? I just had Canadian passport photos taken here at PostNet. I had been dreading the experience-- my previous passport renewal (5 years ago) took 6 months because the photos were rejected 4 times for reasons categorized as "other" by Passport Canada. So, I went to PostNet armed with the spec sheet, prepared to direct the process if necessary. But the savvy, friendly and efficient staff were way ahead of me- they were aware of ALL the specifications. They guided the process smoothly and delivered beautiful photos in record time at a reasonable price. I felt like I was in the hands of trusted friends determined to get it exactly right for this important service. PostNet exudes competence- a pleasant consumer experience and the antithesis of lackluster, uninformed, unintelligent and indifferent customer service that characterizes many businesses these days. I read the reviews on Yelp, and given the abject horror with which I approach having my picture taken, it sounded like the right place for me. The experience was exactly what people described - delightful. The gentleman who helped me took several pictures of me, and we picked out the one that was the best. Yeah, it's still a passport photo, and they don't get better as you get older, but I not only survived the experience, I enjoyed it.
