I had a meeting out this way in Aurora on December 15th and was CRAVING Potbelly's. It's my favorite sub restaurant. My meeting ended early so I found the nearest one before I headed back to the big city. Around 11:45am I went in and it was quiet (probably beat the lunch crowd) and clean. I do not remember who made my sandwich but I got my usual, Original Turkey on Whole Grain, Provolone Cheese with the works. I always ask for extra Pickles, Oil and Italian Seasoning. This is the first and I do mean the first time someone understood the assignment! Not only were the extras on there but it was the most perfect looking sandwich I've ever had from Potbelly's. Ordered a peanut butter and jelly 40-year-old man put peanut butter on then had to be told by some younger ladies that you put it through the toaster fresh like potbellies is known for their toasted subs and the peanut butter burnt on my sandwich and he still continue to put peanut butter and send it out that way so my peanut butter and jelly sandwich is burnt. I'm giving Potbelly three stars based on previous experiences with their Turkey Skinny. It's a good, low calorie alternative to a burger. Only three stars, because after pulling up to the drive in, there is a sign Location Closed. Wondering if this is permanent..... signage all over that they are hiring. Enjoy potbelly's in general but the food I bought yesterday was terrible. I got a BLTA with Mayo and extra bacon. It was flavorless and dry. The veggies tasted like nothing. More importantly I ordered The Wreck with everything on it minus onions my wife's fav sandwich. Whoever made this sandwich put an ungodly amount of giardiniera on the sandwich. My wife likes spicy food but this was like they dumped a whole of jar of the stuff on the sandwich that over powered every other flavor and it didn't even matter that she tried to scrap some off because the juice saturated everything. The spice was so intense she had stomach pain from it. I don't know what's going on at this location but it was not good. read more

Update: to add insult to injury, now, several days later, I have been charged for the order that I never received. No response from potbellies except for asking for more information. I don't know what more information they could need. And now I guess I will try going after DoorDash, but there's no way DoorDash would've charged me if potbellies didn't send the charge through. As a disabled person who just spent another week in the hospital, this is the last thing I need to be fighting about. Just horrible. I am so disappointed. I had ordered two sandwiches this evening since I had just gotten out of the hospital and no one felt like cooking. I ordered through DoorDash. Everything appeared to be fine with my order except maybe that it was $52 for two sandwiches, but I was willing to pay that without complaint. I waited about a half an hour and then got a message that my order has been canceled because the store was reported closed. This was after I already had a driver sitting in line, etc. about 6:20 PM when they are supposed to close at 10 PM. This is the second time this is happened to me with potbellies, and I have never had this problem with any other restaurant and or DoorDash. It's a shame because I really did enjoy the sandwiches which is the only reason it got any stars. I tried calling the store but of course, no one answers the phone. I asked for white bread they have me whole wheat bread and I got the Avo Turkey and I got a really bad avocado. I was very disappointed because potbelly's is usually very good and fresh. Not impressed. We both ordered the "big" size $2.00 more per sandwich and yall call these big? I wonder what the regular sandwich looks like, yikes! My fiance was more upset with his because it barely had any mozzarella on it and it was their mozzarella sandwich. My turkey was okay, but the bread was super hard to eat. Maybe was cooked too long? Wow - horrible customer service. First off, the last time I ordered from the store they messed up my order. I called and spoke with a manager who said that he would put my name in a "book" and the next time in he would give me a free sandwich - Great. Well, my wife and went through the drive thru today and mentioned that we have a free sandwich per a manager and we were quickly told - your name is not in the book. I said how do you know I haven't given you my name. Her response back was classic, "we don't have a book" My response- Cancel my order As a small business owner in the community I feel very discouraged with the lack of professionalism and ultimately this attitude impacts the overall image of the community. read more

Always enjoyed Potbelly but havent been in any of there stores for a few years. Prices up a bit and sandwich sizes down but not as rampant as Panera or Portillos. Still portions could have been larger. Came at lunch time. My buddy had a side job and bought me lunch. This store had a dude playing an acoustic guitar at lunch. Nice touch. Sandwich choices a bit different than std fare. Thats why I gave it 4 stars plus the quality is good. Worth the stop! Service pretty good here. read more

Terrible customer service. There were 4 people in line (including myself) and 4 employees. After standing and waiting to pay for almost 10 minutes, the manager/cashier started walking off to go get chili. I spoke in a curt and gruff fashion by saying "Hey, can you ring me up so I can leave?" She came back and rang my order and complained that "isnt the way you talk to people" and that she is training "all of her employees today". I informed her that that was not my problem, and she handed my change and told me to "stay home and make your own sandwich next time" This is not the 1st time I have received rude customer service at this location. Went through the drive thru and waited a long time. No big deal. But when we got our order it was completely wrong. I had asked for a chicken sandwich and got roast beef and ham. I am actually pregnant and can't have cold meats. Only reason we went to you guys was because I actually enjoy your hot sandwiches. Went back to tell them and they apologized and remade our sandwiches. I had three ingredients on my sandwich mayo, pickles and bacon, didn't get the bacon. So I went into Potbellies on Rt. 34 with my son today...asked for the chocolate peanut butter shake like always...& Elisa (Alisa?) the manager said that it's an allergy food & can't serve it. I asked "oh really, when did that start?". Then she changed it to "it's too busy...I can't pull one of my staff to do that now". Wow so rude.. I placed 2 online orders only 2 minutes apart. Went thru the drive and said I have 2 online orders manager working said we only have one. Then she came back and said oh I see 2. Ok u have to wait I'm like ok It's just the way she spoke was very rude! And all the employees came to the window to listen to her tell me it's gonna be a wait. My both orders were only chocolate shakes. And there were about 4 employees doing nothing the place was dead no customers. Actually every time I go there it's dead. Had an Italian sandwich with everything and the voodoo heat chips. The good: Sandwich was excellent as usual. Warm, taste good and consistent with the other sandwiches I get here. The bad: The voodoo chips were more salty than spicy. Didn't know voodoo heat meant salt! Lol. Didn't affect the meal, they were still good but I will go back to the jalopino ones next time. The ugly: Used a tray for my food and it was absolutely disgusting. I see this at other places as well - a quick wipe down of the tray vs. washing it. Bad customer service and one employee with no manners. I had had a similar experience in this location before, but I tried to give them another chance because my experience using drive thru had been ok. Was not greeted, first person that took my order had no manners and was busy talking to friends from the time I came in to about the time I left. There was no communication between employees I had to reappear my order for every person that was there even though they are less and a foot apart! Two other customer came in and one was greeted and welcomed in the other for the most part ignored as well. No consistency. Really disappointed I hope this location does more to improve then just wright a rebuttal that they are working hard to improve their service. read more

Stopped in shortly before closing but the employees did not seem annoyed and were friendly. I can always recommend the "Wreck"- a sub with various meats and whatever toppings you choose. Their soups are great as well, the same pre-made soups that Panera uses. My husband worked for Potbelly so we know all the secrets :) The oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are amazing. Service is consistently underwhelming with unprofessional staff who either seemed unhappy or disinterested. The two times I have visited this location I have had an incorrect order. The second time I ordered, got to the window, they read me back the wrong order, I corrected them, and they still got it wrong! Everyone in my office has had similar issues, including being served cold chili. This is not the Potbelly standard I know. I will not be returning to this location. read more

I placed an order tonight for delivery at 555pm. It said the order should arrive by 650. When I still didn't have my order by 7pm I called the store. I was told that they use DoorDash and the order was picked up 30 minutes prior!! The store remade my food and delivered it themselves within 20 minutes. I wasn't happy about waiting almost 2 hours for food, but appreciate the customer service. I do recommend that somewhere on you website you let the customer know the order is being delivered by DoorDash. I have not had very good experiences with them and probably would not have placed the order. A tip was added to my original order and then I also tipped the potbelly employee who finally delivered the food so a little annoyed about DoorDash getting a tip for nothing!! Today, I ordered a chicken and cheddar cheese sandwich with no tomato and added avocado. Somewhere between me ordering that and them making it, they decided to add jalapeños and other toppings. I have Crohn's Disease and have to be careful with what I eat. The sandwich I ordered would have been fine, but the sandwich I received will cause me extreme pain for days. As the wonderful food of Potbelly's touched my tongue I knew this place was amazing but then I realized it was just the hot peppers.

Have been here many times....the sandwiches are fine, but could be better with cheese that I could see or at least taste... I think they don't even put cheese on sandwich. Farmhouse salad is good, but would be better with more spinach and a lot less iceberg lettuce. The worst thing at this Potbelly is the service, they are so slooooow! They get orders wrong as well. Ordered chicken salad sandwich on whole grain with lettuce and tomato. Never thought I would have to check the sandwich before leaving the Drive thru window. Got home, opened the sandwich and it was not a chicken salad sandwich as ordered. Drove back to exchange the sandwich for the correct one, and as the exchange was made no apology, just have a nice day. We frequent the sandwich shop often and the service and food is usually good.
