Negative stars!! STAY AWAY STAY AWAY DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! I just assumed the bad reviews were…read morebecause who really goes and reviews a hospital? Now I wish I listened. Came here with my sick 1 year old who was burning up for days. Chief complaint was a fever, possible UTI. Why did it take THREE HOURS just to give her some Tylenol because they said "sorry they inputted the wrong temperature". Two more hours went by and still no results from the UTI we actually walked out because it was ridiculous. Nurses were literally standing around chit chatting blatantly saying how they hate walking by people because then they get asked to do things - UHM LIKE YOUR JOB?? I went multiple times to find someone on the floor to get updates and they were all hiding in a room and cackling. On two different occasions did someone bring my daughter back to get an x-ray that was not warranted. First time they thought we were a different patient, second time was ordered because they put in her chart she has a cough and I had to tell them no, she doesn't have a cough. We didnt even have a room so we are waiting in the hallway of the ER area. They gave her Tylenol which spilled all over me as if they can't even give medication to kids? These are Great Value nurses and PAs at best. It was FIVE HOURS of being here with no answers before we left. And they had the audacity to ask for my insurance for billing. I have never had such an unprofessional ghetto experience ever. Ive had better service at ERs deep in the hood. This was a complete joke and no one knows what they are doing.

I never thought I'd be reviewing so many hospitals, but here I am…read more This was our first time at this hospital. Our family member was brought to the ER by ambulance. Everyone in the ER was pleasant and helpful and someone came to get me to bring me back to their room and talk with the doctor. The ER doctor was busy, so I don't hold that against them. The nurses and techs were wonderful, walked us through everything being done, they ran tests and scans immediately. We then went to ICU quickly. Everyone there is so helpful and kind, even though it was super busy. The seem to have the correct number of staff to cover the unit and the staff worked well together. The nurse gave us a full update and found chairs for us. The entire time in ICU we were updated daily by phone as well as updated in person when we arrived to visit. I was glad this hospital met my expectations as we were very familiar with Prince William and I was not sure if we would get the same level of care.

Location: imaging center…read more I had a deeply upsetting and painful experience during my OB ultrasound yesterday at 21 weeks pregnant with my first baby, and I feel compelled to share it so others know what to expect. The appointment was scheduled for 1:00 PM. The ultrasound tech, Fadwa, was extremely nonchalant from the start and seemed visibly bothered every time I asked a question. This was my first pregnancy, so naturally I wanted to understand what I was seeing on the screen and learn about my baby's features. Instead of explaining anything, she whispered the entire time. I repeatedly (and politely) asked her to speak up because my husband and I couldn't hear her, but that only annoyed her more. What should have been a roughly 45-minute scan turned into an hour and a half. I left at 2:45 PM, even though I had told her I had another appointment at 2:30. As recommended, I had drunk 3 full bottles of water beforehand for a full bladder, and by the end I was desperately close to peeing my pants. She was very aggressive with the probe, pressing extremely hard on my stomach for over an hour while I was lying flat on my back. At 21 weeks, that position is already uncomfortable, and the intense pressure combined with a very full bladder made it genuinely painful. I was in tears afterward in the car while my husband tried to comfort me. An ultrasound should not hurt like that. She kept complaining that the baby was moving too much and threatened multiple times to stop the scan and make me come back. There were several moments when the baby was still and in a good position, but she didn't capture clear images. She repeatedly brought up my age (I'm 20), treating me like I was a teenager instead of a grown, mature adult. At the end, she abruptly stopped and said I'd need a repeat ultrasound at a different hospital because of my age. I was so frustrated and emotional that I stayed quiet, but her rudeness and unprofessionalism were obvious. I've had a much better experience with an ultrasound at the ER -- the tech there was informative, kind, and efficient. This one made me feel dismissed, uncomfortable, and physically hurt. Age has nothing to do with it: the issue was Fadwa not being able to do her job properly, communicate clearly, or treat a patient with basic respect and care. I will never return to this location. If you're pregnant and want a positive, supportive experience where your questions are welcomed, I strongly recommend going elsewhere.

A routine surgery gone bad…read more I had three trigger finger surgeries performed by Anderson. The first one on my thumb was hugely successful and led me to have the other two fingers done some years later. Surgery was scheduled with the 'new' hand guy and performed on the right hand with no apparent complications. After removing dressing I notice the incision was not sutured so that the sides lined up resulting in a pucker in my palm and even a misalignment of the line that goes across the palm. I bright this up with my surgeon and he brushed me off saying it would 'flatten' after some time. Ok, so two weeks later I go for the left hand, same procedure. I was in the room and they were prepping me for the surgery. The doctor came in the room and injected me with the numbing solution, and I commented, "last time your assistant cleaned my whole arm with butadiene solution prior to injection." This created a bit of a stir as they scurried to clean the area after they made the injections. Surgery was performed and I went on my way. Fast forward 10 days. Recovery was going ok, although right hand very stiff but left (most recent) all of the sudden became very stiff and painful. I went to their office the next morning and from the parking lot they told me that they were too busy to see me and that only my surgeon could see me do come back tomorrow. Disappointedly I left with my swollen and very painful hand. I returned the next morning in worse shape. The surgeon didn't even get me into the exam room and told me to admit myself to the hospital. He said I had an infection in my hand and it needed to be cleaned out and I needed strong antibiotics. The hand had become quite inflamed and very painful but that was just the beginning. Surgery was very invasive adding three more incisions, rooting around and flushing around the tendons and then not stitching back up but letting the wounds heal from an open state. I met with infectious disease staff and they recommended strong antibiotics while they tried to sort out my specific infection. Two days after surgery, the surgeon visited, and performed a probing and painful examination of my hand with no gloves. Two days later I was released from the hospital with a very painful hand. I went back for follow up with the surgeon and he said give both hands time and recommend occupational therapy. 20 sessions later, I can't make a tight fist with either hand, have lost grip strength, and the tendons are so tight they lift in the palm of my hands when I do close my fists. Very uncomfortable every day. The misaligned sutures never 'flattened' out and the trigger finger surgeries were a total fail. I'd never recommend having it done to anybody. I don't think my hands will ever be the same, but Anderson got paid in full and showed no concern whatsoever after I walked out the door.

I want to give a shootout to a very special receptionist " Tiffany Asiedu" for going the extra mile…read moreassisting me with an (Uber Mixup). I had visited the Springfield Va Kaiser Permanente earlier the same day, although the drop off home location was verified via: voice they still had the incorrect drop off for my home address, although the address itself was correct the City was incorrect which caused the confusion and stressed me the hell out. The Drop off should had been: 8220 Russell Rd, Alexandria Va, the Uber dispatch put in 8220 Russell Rd, Fairfax, Va which the driver proceeded to take me, while at the time I had (Cataract issues) and was not able to notice that the area was unfamiliar to me until he had gotten close to the Woodbridge, Va Kaiser. After being so stressed that I had been heading in the wrong direction the entire time I had informed the driver that I do not live in Woodbridge and I was being taken to an area that was unknown to me. (Not his fault however) to make a long story shorter the driver decided since It was getting dark and I was unable to see at night that it was best for him to drop me back at the closest Kaiser that we were near which happens of course to be the Minniville location this doctor's appointment was to had been a round trip there and back, however after being dropped off I along with driver went into the clinic and the clinic to explainthe mix uup and "Tiffany" had been the person to deal with this mess (Poor Girl) however she handled my situation with such professionalism and contacted the Uber for me as I was to stressed to do it myself she even stated to me that if she was unable to get it corrected while on the phone with them that she would call me an Uber under her own account and simply pay for it (I didn't want that) however I had to get home. She talked with the Uber dispatch and explained the situation and how I had ended up at the Woodbridge location when we had just left the Springfield location once all was said and done I between the dispatch and miss Tiffany the results were that another Uber was on it's way to pick me back up with the correct destination input into their system. Although a very long review, I just want others to understand how "Tiffany Asiedu" had took a stressful situation (for me) and handled it with such professionalism and calmness that I wouldn't had expected to come from an employee at Kaiser, She gave me a whole new look about the company after this and now I even recommend the clinic to others for their outstanding staff and professionalism and that they go the extra mile for their patients. "Tiffany Asiedu" Thanks again for being there when I needed it the most

Please forgive me in advance if I get anyone's name wrong, given the nature of this visit, I am sure one can overlook that. Wendy greeted me as soon as I walked in, by name at that and began the registration process. She was so helpful and pleasant sooo early in the am. She made sure she explained everything fully and had no qualms engaging in conversation as she walked me through all the paperwork. Once completed she wishes me well and handed me off to Lauren. Everyone is not equipped with the skills it takes to be a pre-op nurse, but Lauren, she was a godsend. She has to be one of the best in the business!!! She mad everything so easy and relaxing you almost forget why you are even crossing paths with each other. She kept everything light and filled with humor. If I happen to find myself back here again, I need to be able to request her!!! A total professional while still exuding a personal bedside manor that is unmatched. She is a ray of sunshine it what can sometimes be such a dull place. Melissa came and introduced herself as my OR it's to let me know she would be with me every step of the way and would take good care of me. A little extra assurance never hurt at all. She made sure I was comfortable and cared for. She was observant and kind which I definitely appreciated. I need every anesthesiologists to be like Dr. Grant!!!! She was absolutely amazing! She made going under easy breezy. She was talking to me but I fell asleep, I hope she's not offended lol. The recovery nurses were fantastic too!! They worked with me through my recovering and made sure I got my first meal, if you will of graham crackers and ginger ale that my mind turned into a steak dinner with garlic mash!!! These two ladies made a great team to handle post op recovery. The facility is spotless and you would expect and believe it or not, the temperature was just right! You were comfortable instead of freezing which is usually the case. Cold and sterile is expected instead I got comfortable and sterile. Pre-op area is spacious so you do not feel like you are right on too if your neighbor, if you have one. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone. The ladies here are excellent at what they do!
